    The setting is great with a beautiful view of the lake. The food was excellent as was the service. The only thing that was a negative was serving water in Budweiser beer glasses. That was not very classy.

    My husband ordered a bone in ribeye. The waiter brought a normal ribeye and said that the kitchen must have read the order wrong. The waiter did not offer to correct his order or provide a new (correct) meal.

    The restaurant was nice. The food was good, the only problem was we got scallops and there was sand or shells in them. I bit into one and it was so loud my husband across the table heard it. I was worried I broke my tooth. There was a lot of them in both of our scallops.

    Our calamari and shrimp cocktail were amazing apps to start off our dinner. We then had the delicious halibut and 2 different filet meals for our entrees. Service was above and beyond and every bite was delicious.

    Always great! Our group was thrilled. General food is excellent! Gardein chicken is atrocious—have tried twice now. Please season it and cook on grill. Tastes boiled.

    The appetizer was great, everything was except the ribeye. It was thin and not seared or seasoned very well. The waitress was very nice but she was very busy.

    Dinner was amazing. We did wait 1.25 hours for our food which was unusual at 4:30 but otherwise it was great. It was our anniversary and they brought us desert and a picture which was a really nice touch. Regardless of the wait we will be back.

    The cedar plank salmon we both ordered was only cooked on the outside, very raw. Our waitress was great, just very overwhelmed with numerous tables including a party of 10. We waited a fair amount for her to return once we got our food. But once she did and saw the salmon was raw, she swooped in and took it away. We did wait another 15 minutes or so for our food. This time it was cooked perfectly. Overall a fine experience. Just timely.

    Very good food, got a good view of the lake, got a free dessert for it being our anniversary and the waitress took our picture then printed it out in a Baxters folder. It was very sweet

    Our party of 6 came in for a birthday celebration. Everything was wonderful. Not one of the 6 had a complaint about anything. Filet mignon was excellent as was the halibut and special of the night. It’s also nice that they take a picture of the party as a remembrance. Nice evening!

    Bravo Team Baxter's. We had a wonderful time yesterday dining at the restaurant. Our server, Tyler, was fabulous. My parents think the world of him as he was so very kind and attentive to all their needs. The rest of the serving team was great as well - we were very well looked after, the food was sublime and we had a fabulous evening. We look forward to being back. Thank you again.

    This is our go to place for birthdays, anniversaries and Christmas parties. Baxter's always has great food, excellent waitstaff, and the best view of the beautiful Lake of the Ozarks. It's not the cheapest restaurant, but when you want to splurge on a special dinner, they make it worth your money.

    This was a business lunch, so we were actually here for some considerable time enjoying a meal and then working together before a later dessert as we worked. It was a fabulous view (the half-booth overlooking the lake) the music was quiet so an ideal setting as we worked together. The meals are always second to none in that if you want a decent meal, you always go to Baxter's - there is no second choice!

    Our waitress seemed put out from the moment we got there. She didn’t check on us once food was brought out, which was by someone else. We were there to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. It was not acknowledged, even though reservation was made as such. As local, it was quite disappointing.

    The crab cakes were yummy and so was the soup but the tuna I had to cut with a knife which I have never had to do before so it was not that good
