Battista's Hole in the Wall
Dinner: Sunday - Thursday: 5:00pm - 10:30pm, Friday - Saturday: 5:00pm - 11:00pm.
I do not recommend this restaurant. Every entree comes with cheese garlic bread, wine and a side of pasta but it feels like overkill. The portions are enormous for a normal person to finish, however the food is subpar. We were a group of 5 people and 4 of us finished less than 1/3 of our plates. The only one that liked his food ordered the shrimp scampi. House white and red wines tasted like poor quality wine. Garlic cheese bread was dry. My new york steak entree was bland and lacked flavor. My friends ordered the steak caruso and could barely eat it; steak was fatty and unappetizing. The service was also subpar; had an older lady serve us and she seemed annoyed by questions and in a rush the whole time. The decor is cool, but that's about it.
This was my second time at the restaurant. I was there to celebrate my birthday with my friends. You cannot beat the price. Carafe of red and white wine, salad or soup, amazing garlic bread, entree, pasta, and the most delicious cappuccino to end the meal all for $35. I was thrilled to see the adorable man who played "Happy Birthday" to me on his accordion. We will be back for sure.
great service. food choices. great pictures of celebrities. food of course. cozy. great old fashion feel.
Nice Italian restaurant. In town on vacation and Battastia's was recommended by a friend. I would highly recommend this place to those who enjoy Italian style dinning (ie., great portions and high quality).
Absolutely love Battista's. Old school cool Vegas all the way.
The rooms are too dark. There’s so much to see on the walls but you can’t because it’s so dark.
Free wine- it’s putrid! Either provide something better or stop all together.
Food- it’s ok but a bit stodgy
I would not recommend this place.
Great good, friendly service at a reasonable price. Can’t be beat.
Saw the accordion player in videos, was nice to see him come around and play for everyone.very sweet touch
Everything about the place was Great
Always a great meal and a lot of fun. Try the special if they have one.
We have been going to Battista's for a long time and quite a staple in Las Vegas!!! Love the service, food, and the ambience!!!
I'll never forget this place! Eclectic atmosphere, kind staff and delicious Italian dishes. Don't miss the accordion player. One of my favorite restaurant experiences.
Good, classic food. Fun atmosphere. Enjoyed our food. Service was good. Lasagna was excellent.
AMAZING!!! Best deal in Vegas!!
Pasta is amazing. Love the red sauce all you can drink wine is great.
Great place, loved the setting, food was brilliant and great value for what you pay. Highly recommended. You’ll pay the same money for an average meal on the strip for just entrees. Battista’s included a salad, bread, wine and cappucino for the same money and at much better quality!!
Great food with outstanding service and old-school Italy ambiance. Food prices were extremely reasonable and when you factor in that your dinner comes with endless wine, it’s hard to pass up.
The whole experience was just so much fun. 5/5 stars, definitely going back.
food was ok but kind of bland. wouldn't return.
Have been going to Vegas for years but never tried this place. (You would find it unless you were looking for it. ) It is only 2 blocks off the strip behind (east) the Cromwall, in a strip mall.
Was recommended so we made reservations which are a must.
Seated immediately and serves was excellent. All meals come with soup or salad (we both had the salad and it was great). Garlic bread. Main course (typical Italian fair, one person has Veal and the other Lasagna - both very good). All you can drink red or white house wine. Cappuccino.
Accordion player was unique and interesting.
Overall would recommend. Old school Italian restaurant, great food and good serves.
This was our second time dining at Battista’s. The food is good, but the sauce is acidic and can cause some acid reflux later. The garlic bread, while unlimited, seemed a bit stale and not very garlicky. My wife is a vegetarian and was disappointed that both the salad (salami) and soup (beef broth) were meat-based. House wine was very good (we had the white). Service was OK, but a bit slow considering we went early during a non-busy time. Cappuccino at the end of the meal was amazing. This is a nice spot for authentic Italian food that won’t break the bank, but it lacks the flare of the newer restaurants.
Eating at that restaurant for 20 years when in Las Vegas!
Always Great Food!!❤️Love it!!
This was our first time there. Our friends go to BHiW every time they come to Vegas. We come to Vegas 3-4 times a year, and will definitely return to BHiW! Oh, and Gordy was hilarious!
Food is mediocre. Ambiance and service are very good. Prices are decent for food that has no wow factor at all.
Saw this place while riding the monorail. Looked up the reviews, which were very positive. Made a dinner reservation and we were quite happy we did. Food was very good, staff friendly and efficient, and the cappuccino to end dinner was delicious. When we visit Vegas again, we will go back.
We have been coming to Vegas for years and always eat at Batista's at least once a trip. The best authentic Italian food in Vegas. Its old school. We love all of the pictures of celebrities who have eaten there in the past. We also love Gordie who never disappoints with his singing and accordion playing. I highly recommend it to anyone coming to Vegas.
Super fun! We all enjoyed the history of the restaurant. Nice change from hotel ,chain and the places we usually go in Vegas.
Great restaurant and the accordion player was very entertaining
We eat here every time we are in Vegas. We love it!
Overall nice restaurant but server lacked personality. Ordered New York Steak, was tough and flavorless. Other items was good.
So, so nice. I had a bit of heat exhaustion and had to leave right after the first round of food came out. They gave me bitters and soda for free and didn’t charge anything for the food. I was so sad I Couldn’t eat as I had been looking forward to it for about a month. I’ll be back, Battista’s! Thank you
Long time Vegas restaurant that we always enjoy!
No visit to Las Vegas is complete without a trip to Battista's. The food and service are always good, prices are moderate. The decor is old style but that is part of the charm. The wine and cappuccino are both tasty and complimentary, especially the cappuccino. We generally end up in a hilarious conversation with a nearby table of visitors ( and will take those people from Illinois up on their offer should we get out that way.) The real gem is Gordy, the roaming accordion player who is happy to strike up a tune for you. He is getting up in age and is only there a couple nights a week but he always greets you with a smile. The world should have more Gordy's in it.
Battistas is my favorite restaurant. Amazing food, unlimited wine, great ambience. I go every time I’m in Vegas. Be sure to have the accordion player come to your table. He’s the best.
I've lived in Vegas for 24 years, and Battista's is always a favorite "go-to" when out-of-town guests visit. Great food, fun climate, and cool 50's style ambiance!
Unfortunately the experience was less than expected. Food was less than mediocre. Service was inattentive.
Please see other reviews for better details, but to sum up: Battista's is great alternative to the nearby, over-the-top corporate Buca di B chain. Battista's staff were personable and friendly, the tasty food will stick to your ribs, the free wine is very drinkable...my only complaint was that during our dinner (Thursday evening), there was no music playing at all, which took away from the overall ambiance and left patrons quietly whispering to each other. Not that I'd want to hear the usual, ever-present Las Vegas strip electro-beats that play everywhere else, but certainly Battista's could have put some mellow, low-volume tunes overhead appropriate for their theme. That said, I would still recommend Battista's and will be returning on my next Vegas trip!
My wife and I came to Vegas for our 10 year anniversary. It had been 14 years since I had been to Las Vegas but I still remembered eating at Battista’s all those years ago. We made a point to go and have a dinner there. Service was exceptional and food was still excellent like I remembered it. We will be back on our next trip here!! Thank you
Great food . Great service. The lasagna was the best I have ever had.
Great food good wine.
Battista's is excellent old school Italian restaurant that is always consistently delicious. We had Steak Caruso and spaghetti and meatballs that was amazing.as always.
