Servers need to be trained better. It's a shame to have mediocre servers for a high-end restaurant in such an amazing location. NY restaurants in the best location need to be the best in service. Food and wine are not the best here either.

The service was outstanding and the quality of the meal was impeccable. We dined in the patio area and enjoyed great views of the river and Statue of Liberty. I highly recommend Battery Gardens for an overall amazing dining experience.

Open Table took our reservstion but tgey were closing for a wedding. We had drinks and hors deouvers - which were really average.
All thus place has going for it us t the e location on the water.

This restaurant never disappoints. The service is always top notch and the food is good. A bit pricey but the quality and the location make it worthwhile-views like nowhere else in Manhattan in a gorgeous setting you cannot beat this for sunset cocktails or dinner on the patio.

Ambiance is always great except for the rats in plain sight running in clear view of us while we were sitting outside in the back. That put a damper on our enjoying ourselves. zone of my colleagues said he would not o back because of all the visible rat activity right in front of us

The restaurant needs a renovation in my opinion . The food was delicious and staff courteous and attentive. I found the price to be above average.

Service was exceptional just the food was not good at all.

Let me start off by saying that the service at the bar I can’t give more than less than 1star. The service was horrible, the bartender was the most unfriendly person I’ve come across in a long time. The bar area is a filthy mess with weeds growing and filthy tables..The place itself looks like it should be condemned. There are weeds all over, tables look 100 yrs old , rusted and rotted..It’s falling apart. We ate outdoors, the view is beautiful but there are weeds growing in the planters which prevented us from having a better view than we could have, The service was very good I have no complaints about that, the waiters were very kind and helpful the food was decent, but would I ever come back absolutely not by the end of the meal we saw rats running around. I was disgusted. I brought my family thinking it was clean and as good as it was a few yrs ago and it was embarrassing. I think the best thing for this restaurant would be to close its doors and never reopen because it’s an embarrassment to the area.. the parking lot stunk of garbage, it was filthy. There is so much more I can say but at this point , there is nothing more that needs to be said. The place is a disgrace.

We were celebrating a family milestone and decided to head to Battery Gardens for outdoor dining with the beautiful views of The Statue of Liberty. What we got (in addition to the views) was an outstanding meal that began with the seafood tower. Everything was delicious. Most of our table ordered the ribeye that was cooked to perfection while others ordered the sea bass and the duck.

The service was quick, consultative and spot on. Everything was conducted to perfection under the watchful eye of “Uncle Paul”. Paul Nicaj is the owner who ensures that everything is done as he would do it himself.

Wonderful place to have a dinner, drinks or an event while enjoying the sunset and watching the boats go by.

I have been there a few times. The setting is lovely, overlooking the Hudson River with views of the Statue of Liberty. The interior space is crisp, clean, light with large windows. The outdoor space is equally lovely. The food was very good, as was the service.

I recommend that you have dinner there around dusk, and enjoy the sunset. After eating a delicious meal and a glass or two of wine, make sure to stop by the SeaGlass Carousel, and enjoy the experience. It is to the right as you leave the restaurant. It is a perfect way to end a perfect evening.

They also have a delicious and reasonably price prix fixe menu which my team enjoyed thoroughly. Easy to make and modify reservations, and the outdoor patio near the water is perfect for the summer! Also dog friendly :)

I love the Battery Gardens Restaurant because it is consistently excellent. I go there often and I find that the food, the service and the ambiance are always excellent.

Best meal I’ve had in years!

Service a bit slow. Lack of attention or maybe understaffed. Otherwise, waiter was very nice (when he got to us).

We were not told there was a wedding and were required to sit outside. It was gusty winds that evening. Part of our salads blew off the plates and a glass if wine was blown over in to the half eaten dinner. The waiter brought another glass of wine but charged for it!! We just gave up.

The food was quite good, especially the scallops. But not at all a good experience.

My family and I came here on Father's Day. We sat outside and enjoyed the view. Good service, good food, and staff was very accommodating. Hope to be back soon.

Father’s Day and birthday

Excellent greeting from Maitre’ D; excellent seating and service. So it’s hard to tell these amazing people that their food sucks. Ambience and atmosphere were perfect as well.

We had a lovely lunch at Battery Gardens outside on the patio to celebrate a team member's work anniversary. We were delighted to have the manager bring us dessert when we asked where the cake was even after we paid! It was a nice touch. (We were however surprised that a service charge was added to our bill and not mentioned specifically when it was delivered.)

The owner was so amazing to our group of 12. He welcome us and even gave us two bottles of champagne on the house. Food was amazing . Staff was very attentive. Will definitely visit again when it get warm to enjoy outside dining.

cold day so ate inside - the view, nevertheless, is spectacular. Boats, mostly ferrying tourists to Liberty island and Ellis island, crisscrossed the open harbor. Go for the view.

Always perfect! The food, service and decor are always perfect. The outside area has a magnificent view of the Statute of Liberty.

Good food, great service, what more can you ask for?

We booked a reservation on OpenTable for Battery Gardens to celebrate my mom's birthday. We arrived a few minutes early only to find out that they are closed on Saturdays and Sundays. No one ever informed us of this. What is ironic is that I am still being asked how my experience was.

TThe location on the harbor with the Statue of and ample natural sky light make it certain we will come back often and recommend it to others. The tables are set with linens and are widely spaced for good sense of privacy while dining. Sound level at our visit was very well suited to conversation. Wait staff is responsive and the menu offers imaginative choices. Our cocktails and wine were excellent. The food is well prepared as ordered and arrived to table timely. Our only request is to offer diners a choice of branded bottles of water for the table. Florinated tap and tap florinated and The location on the arbor with the Statue of and ample natural sky light make it certain we will come back often and recommend it to others. The tables are set with linens, are widely spaced for good sense of privacy while dining. Wait staff is responsive and the menu offers imaginative choices. Our cocktails and wine were excellent. The food is well prepared as ordered and arriving to table timely. Our only request is to offer diners a choice of branded bottles of water for the table. Great views. Couldn't buy good service if we tried. Food was above average, youre paying for the view. Would go again but with hopes service was better.

Amazing food and the view of Liberty Island was the icing on top! Delicious food, dessert and sangria💜 Our waiter was just attentive enough without being over bearing too! Loved this meal. Will definitely come next time we are in New York.
