Was looking forward to a nice new years eve meal. There were 8 in our party. Almost everything was bad. They ran out of the rib steak that two of us wanted. Another steak that was ordered well done was literally bleeding on the plate. It was sent back but had still not returned to us even after most of us had finished our meals. We then cancelled the order and just ordered a simple order if fries. They arrived to the table burnt and cold. The mixed drinks were terrible. Worst Tom Collins ever. Sent it back but was still charged. Rum and coke had flat coke. Pina Colada was not consumable. We ordered three strawberry daiquiris and all three came in different sized glasses.
They were also out of some of their deserts. When the deserts that they still had started to arrive they came two at a time so it took a good fifteen minutes for all to arrive. Oh and forgot to mention that the coffee that only some of us got even though we all ordered was well gone before the deserts even started arriving.
Its not like this was cheap! We dropped about $550 for everything.
We asked for the manager. When he came to our table ( without introducing himself) we had to guess who he was.
He ended up giving us $150 gift card but i doubt we will use it.
I was invited to try Baton Rouge in Scarborough again with my family on New Year's Eve and we all thought the food was excellent. Four us really enjoyed the ribs and sweet potatoe fries, my wife had the salmon and she said it was really delicious. The portions were good, we all had left-over ribs for a midnight snack. I'll definitely be coming back!
The service was mediocre....nobody even approached our table for the first 10 minutes we were there and finally when we did get a server who seemed friendly and then our servers were switched without even letting us know. The lady who then came to serve our table seemed completely out of it as if she was extremely tired or completely uninterested. Then when we ordered our food our server came back to inform us that our chicken was ready but our baked potato was not so can she bring us mashed potatos instead an then bring out baked potato after...nobody in their right mind wants to eat that many potatos in one sitting....when we finally got our food it was good but for the price i paid for that service i dont think i will be returning

My son 6 years old get kids menu burger and fries.$10 he love it and eat all.Only one think i have price for other kids menu spagety.$ 10.-Just pasta with tomato sauce.Big different off this kids meal.Burger with fries vs pasta for same price.Service was also excellent.Thank you Z
we went there for lunch and had $10 special for ribs and fries. Since we always get the ribs, we thought we had picked a great day to come for ribs. We were so disappointed. the ribs were hard, they didn't fall off the bone! The manager came over and apologized and said that he also checked the kitchen and said that he noticed the ribs hard as well.. He gave us $20 gift card and compensated our apps as well. This was our 2nd time going to this location, and had 2 bad experiences here. We will not be using the gift card as we will not be going to this location again......we usually go to the location in Vaughan or Richmond Hill and they never disappoint.
Well, what can I say! This restaurant was the worst of all Baton Rouge locations. My husband and I ordered the prime rib -- it didn't look like prime rib (seems like the cook grilled it too) and it sure didn't taste like it. My fries were cold. My husband got a container of "au jus", but I didn't. My son ordered the ribs -- so small and didn't "fall off the bone" at all. My daughter in law ordered the chicken tenders. She said it didn't taste like chicken -- it was passed around the table and we all agreed. My husband thought it might be fish....??? We sent it back and ordered the hamburger instead. On the bright side, the calamari was good. The bill came to $250 and we WILL NEVER GO BACK TO ANY BATON ROUGE again.
Service was good, attentive server. The side of vegetables with two of the entrees were extremely undercooked to the point of being raw and inedible. I do prefer al dente veggies but these were raw. I asked the server to inform the kitchen. No adjustments were offered on our bill.
Food was very good, ok end of ribs was a BIT overdone. But food was great. Service was wonderful.
But am completely mistyfied WHY people next to us thought it was ok for both of them to be on their phones, playing videos of some sort with their speaker volume up?

We were celebrating our Wedding Anniversary and wanted a great meal before attending a show downtown and this lovely restaurant was on the way. It was a Tuesday evening, so the place was not busy. We were a few minutes early for our reservation, but found our table ready and the genial host welcomed us warmly.
Prime rib is a favourite of both my wife and I, and we were pleased with the perfect preparation and presentation. We ordered a side of mushrooms and were amazed at the quantity!
Everything was spot on and we enjoyed our dinner thoroughly. After dinner, the host gave us a brief tour of the multi-level building. There was obvious pride in delivering good service in a warm and richly toned establishment. It would be a go to place if we lived closer.
Food was not fantastic. Potato chowder was so thick, it was hard to drink.
The burger, while tasty was dry.
Had the Old Fashioned, but drink was too small and was way too sweet.
Service was ok. Didn't feel like the server had time for us. The manager was attentive though.
Overall experience 2.5/5.
Good, friendly service. The food came quickly after we ordered and overall good quality. It wasn't a busy evening but it seemed like all customers were being seated in one area only. The table next to us was quite loud, therefore, we could hear their conversation very clearly.
This is our nth time and family's favourite to dine in. But in this particular Thursday June 29 my son's graduation our experienced was not great as compared before. We have to ask to every refill of our sweet iced tea, the top sirloin steak that we order was bland, the ribs was not as tasty as before. Salad and appetizer was okay over all dissatisfied with our dining experience on that night.
The food was not as good as what I expected. Chicken was too salty, the ribs were burned and the losters were too dry. My previous experience with the food there was great and I loved to spend my special occasions dinner at Baton Rouge. The service was good though. But I was really disappointed at the food and it was not worth it at all.
Not that great. The chefs don't know how to make steak. Can't tell the difference between a blue steak and a rare steak as well as a medium rare and a well done steak. Lobster was also over cooked to the point that it was hard to bite into. Learn to cook better. But service was great. Our waitress was really nice and attentive.
Our family experience was not a good one. Made a reservation for Fathers day 2017. Arrived and it was not busy at all. They sat us in a corner section and completely forgot about us. We waited 15 minutes before I got up to find a staff member to help us order. They waiter arrived and admitted nobody knew we were there. The food we ordered arrived in time (apps and main). The fries and chicken for my kids tasted like it was fried in old oil and smelled immediately upon arriving to our table. We asked to exchange it and were offered another option instead. The pasta for my kids was the other option and it arrived cold. And didn't look presentable at all. Just pasta plopped on a plate. No garnish or anything. The brownie and ice cream tasted like it was from a box and smelt stale. Compared to other dinner restaurants, tbis place was bad on this day. Thr manager did not look interested when we told him of our experience. They did comp 1 kids meal.
The service was great and so was the food. The wait times for food was rather long but the server and manager checked up on our table of 5 and engaged in conversation. The server packed my food away for me, suggested food items and wished my dad a happy fathers day. The ribs were great, the chicken was a little dry but good. The peanut butter brownie cheesecake was good, was more of a moose texture. Food was filling.
The prime rib and veggies were perfectly cooked. The garlic mashed potatoes were not good and we went specifically because my husband wanted garlic mashed potatoes. They tasted like they were from a box and neither of us could taste any the garlic.
The waiter started out doing well since we were the only ones in that side of the restaurant. He asked if I wanted water but never brought it and left us waiting too long at the end of the meal when he said he'd back soon so we went elsewhere for dessert.
