Bâton Rouge Steakhouse & Bar - Scarborough
Prime Rib was very tough, server was really good to us though, gave us dessert at no cost.
I ordered the prime rib, and when i got the prime rib it was very tough, and difficult to cut. The prime rib was also covered with some kind of sauce and it was aujus. Mashed potatoes were very bland tasting. I would not recommend anyone ordering the prime rib dinner, very disappointing.
Great and the staff interaction is amazing
From the moment we entered we felt welcome. The staff was attentive and not pushy at all. The one issue I had is that the main course of ribs and vegetables did not arrive hot to our table.
My guests and I enjoyed the meal in terms of quality, quantity, taste, service, value for money. Not my first or my last visit. I've been a client of Baton Rouge and its predecessor for 35 + yrs.
Stake was not up to the mark. There was fat portion all over steak pice
Great experience! Love the homely atmosphere! I’ll definitely go back!
When my husband and I arrived, the lady seating us put us in a corner after realizing we were just 2, and not a party of 6 for some reason. She left us there for 20 minutes. No water, no help, nothing. My husband went up and asked if anyone was going to help us. We got ok service after that. Thankfully the appetizer and the dessert was compensated, but still. We had noisy patrons all around us, loud music (from some new hits station I'm assuming), and like I mentioned, ok service. I honestly was so turned off from this visit. We have been to this location many years ago, which is why we wanted to come here. Will not make that mistake again.
I've been a frequent customer this is the second time I brought the family 5 people and was seated outside the general dining area while there were vacant tables available. I also had a reservation like always . Very poor management and very poor manners . I will not be frequenting the restaurant again . I can be seated in the dining area at other places never been treated otherwise elsewhere.
Celebrating my granddaughters graduation from university.
We were a party of 7, one of whom is disabled. The staff were very attentive to our needs. Drinks were brought quickly. My friend and I both ordered a glass of the house red wine and we were both pleased with the quality. The ribs were outstanding - fall off the bone, sticky and succulent. All the steaks were done perfectly to order, although the rib steak cut was disappointingly thin. Delicious nonetheless. The side vegetables were a fresh, crisp, well seasoned medley. We ordered creme brulee, apple cobbler, and raspberry cheesecake for dessert. All were very much enjoyed.
Our only complaint was that the tv in the pub area was visible and audible in the main dining area, which we found distracting and detracted from the general ambience. Apart from that we enjoyed our experience here very much.
The food was excellent, but the service was terrible.
Portion size is amazing more than what you would expect. And the food tastes really good.
Very classy, customer service on point. Would definitely go back.
Great service. Excellent staff. Would definitely recommend this place to family and friends.
Enjoyed our evening out. Only negative comment is that we felt rushed again. Starter arrives & a few moments later so does our main meal!!!
Everything was wonderful! The food was delicious. We were celebrating a birthday and appreciated the delicious dessert!
Service and wine was good. I had chicken tenders, which were terrible. My husband had chicken and ribs, he said chicken was good but ribs were not great. I did not feel it was good value for the money.
I had the salmon salad which was amazing. My friend had the ribs, she thoroughly enjoyed it.A nice added touch was a surprise birthday dessert which we both shared. The waitress and the guy at the front desk were extremely pleasant.I am planning to return soon to try the ribs.
Nice decor, good location. Friendly professional staff. Top quality food, perfect for our family meal.
The food had no flavour this time?
We were there for my moms 79th Birthday. We all enjoyed our meals. I was only disappointed that the waiter did not acknowledge the occasion in anyway to make the evening special. The ribs and steak were delicious!
The food quality did not meet expectations. The Baton Rough in Richmond Hill was a lot better. No taste in the food. The prime rib cut was thin. I ordered the same at the Richmond Hill location and got a much thinker cut.
The New York steak was not flavour as well as the New York at the Keg.
Disappointed. No one finished their meals. Will not be going back. Will stick with the Keg as quality is better guarantee at all locations.
Overall it was good.
It was quiet Friday for lunch. Service was good and food was excellent
I had the worst experience at Baton Rouge. My waiter I had was extremely rude. He rushed my guest and I to order. We were contemplating what to order for drinks, as we were finished ordering, the waiter then walks away and shakes his head in frustration. I then requested for another waiter, he was no better than the first. He made rude and unnecessary comments such as “ it doesn’t matter what server you have, we are both the same”. I then payed for the drinks for my guest and we got up and left Bâton Rouge to eat elsewhere. Never again.
Enjoyed seating, decor and food.
I went on December 31 for dinner with my two adult children. The food was great, the service was great, would do it again!
Great service. Fantastic sandwich!
The Chef Menu is great and have great choice, something for anybody.
food bad and bubbly service was over the top ribs burnt
The food was excellent. The service was fantastic. They were always coming by making sure that you were happy with everything.
Great food, great service, reasonable value. Looking forward to returning.
Enjoyed everything except the music. Music should be "Background Music" not vocal and loud. Unless you are promoting a sports bar which are dime a dozen.
Very disappointed with the food. Ordered the tuna salad. Having been to other Baton Rouge locations I can say for sure that this location skimped on the tuna to the point that it was almost non-existent within the salad.
My girlfriend and I like visiting Baton Rouge for a special date night downtown but since they have closed the Front St location, this is now the closest location to us. The night started off bad with no place to park and having to park at the Best Buy. We almost left as it took 15 minutes after we had been sat to see a server. I was reaching for my coat when he arrived. No service at all, just took our order and felt like he was just going through the motions. Not what I would expect from a restaurant like this. When are Appetizers arrived the Spinach Dip was cold in the centre. We didn't want to return it as we didn't really want to stay any longer. My girlfriend's seafood linguini looked appetizing and she enjoyed it. My Prime Rib was so hard to cut and fatty. I know this cut usually has alot of fat but this was the fattiest I have ever received. My sides of vegetables and mashed potatoes were cold. They forgot my au jus and horseradish. It was just a horrible experience and soured our night. We skipped the movie and just went home to watch TV. I don't normally write bad reviews as my way of expressing my displeasure is to not go back, but this really bothered us as we loved Baton Rouge downtown and don't have the trust to go back to this brand anymore.
Hopefully this will be used to coach and develop the high standards that this restaurant usually delivers
Ordered mashed potatoes which were barely warm (mashed potatoes should hold the heat.) Also, ribs were not hot but warm. I ordered a Caesar salad which was mediocre, should have more parmesian cheese.
We were very happy with the whole experience. The service we received throughout the meal was courteous and friendly. The food was excellent as usual and we left feeling very satisfied.
Great food, great service. Much better than the other locations we have tried.
