Batch Gastropub Ratings and Reviews
Four of us went there on Saturday, at 1:00 pm. They gave us brunch menus which we thought might be a mistake, so we asked for lunch menus. Then we were informed that the place serves brunch on Saturdays as well as Sunday. Fine, but it's brunch or nothing, and that's where I'm not happy. First of all, the decision to serve brunch on Saturday throws people off, since brunch is a Sunday thing. OK, so you're trying to be different, fine. Then in that case, on Saturday, you should offer people a choice to order off either the brunch, or lunch menu.
We all ended up having hamburgers because that was only one of two items on the brunch menu that were lunch-like. If you're going to be quirky and serve brunch on Saturday, fine, but either don't force people to have only that menu, or add some more lunch items to the brunch menu.
Just to summarize, my reservation was for my birthday. The table they set me up in was probably the worse table in the restaurant all the way in the back near the kitchen so I can really see everything that was going on. Secondly, they had the fight and UM game on. We were fine with the UM game but we didn’t care about the fight and the TV at our table was the UM game which worked out but then they changed it without asking to accommodate a table that same after us. Third, the food was horrible. The spinach artichoke dip was cold with stale chips, the steak was salty, the chicken was tasteless, and the salad was heavy on the garlic. And the managers are rude, I’ve worked in restaurants before and under no circumstances should a manager approach my table the way they did. They weren’t professional and didn’t know how to handle the situation. I remember having a better experience at Batch when they first opened but this was no where near it. I wouldn’t suggest this place to anyone.
Fun place to grab a beer and a burger. The bartender was very friendly and helpful. She is vegetarian and very much enjoyed what she was served (she can be hard to please). I had a bison burger that was really, really good. Juicy, savory, flavorful.
It was great chatting w/ the bartender about the beer the place serves. He told us the history of the local brewer who supplies them and makes a pretty damn good beer. Fun! We're considering moving to the neighborhood and this would definitely be a regular spot for us!
Good experience from start to finish. Thumbs up to our server (the dominican one, sorry can't remember her name) who gave us great recommendations about the food and kept our bottomless drinks flowing.
Mac and cheese is different but really good and the Carolina Hash it's awesome.
Food was amazing, the Korea Dino rib was delicious. Be careful making reservations though, Delray does not take reservations they only do in Miami even though the link to make a reservation is listed under Delray. Caused us a huge issue when we arrived at the Delray Matket place only to find out that it was not where we were booked for. Thankful the staff was amazing at getting us in and and feeling our bellies. Will definitely go again.
The restaurant got filled for Sunday brunch. They had a deal for unlimited martinis and mimosas for $20 (which I didn't get). I got the Carolina Hash, which was supposed to be a fan favorite, but I found a bit heavy and overpoweringly salty. However, despite that, the friends I was with all liked their dishes quite a bit, so I will definitely go again. It's a good place for groups to hang out and talk and drink.
I've been here for brunch, happy hour, and Taco Tuesdays. Most recently we visited for brunch in a 6 person group. We enjoyed our brunch experience here.
Delicious brunch fare, yummy appetizers (you must try the "side biscuit", for brunch- not light, but it's buttery, crumbly perfection. One is enough to share with at least 2 people as a brunch app).
Bottomless mimosas, bellinis and sangrías option (interchangeable)
Very attentive and friendly wait-staff
Fun, lively ambience
Easy to make a reservation, even at the last minute when reserving for busy hours
Many TVs playing popular sports games
Slightly too juicy mimosas- could have had a little more sparkling wine.
I'd give this restaurant and the overall experience (especially for brunch) 4.5 stars. It's a great option, especially for brunch. You should give it a try; I'll definitely be returning!
Sunday brunch was spectacular. My friend and I were catching up and we sat outside and had a wonderful time. Bunch menu was on point. The eggs Benedict were perfect and the $20 bottomless mimosas, sangria and bellinis were so good. Great ambiance; great service; great location; great foo; and great price. Enjoy ourselves very much. Looking forward to our next visit.
The food is not really good, I ordered the Benedict eggs, and was to much condiments. The peach bellini was awful. Not a really good place for brunch. The waitress was completely lost, my bill was a mess. Wouldn't go there again. Basically this is a beer and wings sports bar, because it has tv's everywhere.
I am guessing since it was game day the service was slower. It took a long time for our 1st server to come, then he disappeared. A second server took over, saying she was "helping" the first one, but as we sat waiting for our orders, a 3rd server took over. The last one was on top of things.
Food's decent. Decor is great. And hostesses were also welcoming.
Nice place to watch games.
I noticed they have curtains all over the place. They were open, but I am guessing they can be closed for private events.
Besides the slow service, we had a good time.
Thankfully the food was awesome and was the savior of the meal. The service from the hostess and the server were disgraceful. The hostess had us wait for 10 minutes, yes I did time it to say hello while she attempted to get organized. The server was overwhelmed and the service was extremely slow. Great brunch food so I would try again and hope for better.
