Our server was very prompt & efficient. The crab cakes were large, filled with lump crab meat & held together with very little filler.

Reservation was confirmed for 7 pm, but did not get seated until 8:20. The hostess did not know why that happened.
I booked a reservation using open table however when we arrived at the restaurant the hostess stated we could not be seated for the 645pm reservation and didn't know why open table allowed us to select that time. They were booked up until 8pm. Luckily we found an available high top table to sit and eat. There should be a better system in place if there are any mix signals sent between open table and the restaurant but the costumer shouldnt have to suffer the consequences. So we didn't get an actual table to sit comfortably to eat and didn't get the points for booking through open table when in fact we did.

Service was very good and fast, especially with as busy as they were. The food was very good. I enjoyed the rockfish. The crab cakes were huge. Maryland crab soup was spicy. The tirimisu was delicious, very moist - loved it! We were there over restaurant week and the restaurant was packed. We had reservations and were almost seated immediately.
We waited even though we had the reservation and there were many empty tables. Our waitress was pleasant but closed. Soup was too salty, salad was fine. Walked away feeling bloated but not satisfied.
I love the Italian entrees. Tried seafood for restaurant week, just ok! We are regulars.

Excellent lunch; pricing is good, and service supportive. This is a good go to place. Disappointed that there wasn't any birthday support, but overall a good experience.

Our waiter was wonderful. We felt that the chicken parmigiana tasted like an overbreaded processed dish. My linguine was over cooked and the accompanying marinara sauce too sweet.
Food was very good, but the manager and service was not! I called up to verify that they were on restaurant week list. I was told they were and restaurant week started Friday. When I arrived at the restaurant I was told sorry the restaurant week starts in a week. Our waiter was aware that the girl that I spoke to on the phone gave us the wrong information about restaurant week. When I spoke to the manager about the misunderstanding he was not apologetic and was not willing to give us any sort of discount towards a pricey dinner. We decided to go sit at the bar for happy hour. It took our waitress 45 min to get our wine. Our filet mignon dinner came out as a New York Strip. We informed the waitress the wrong steak was brought out. Waited another 45 minutes for another glass of wine and a filet mignon . Once again I asked to see the manager and complained about the steak mix up, he was not very concerned. An hour dinner turned into a 2 1/2 hour dinner. We ended up getting a free dessert and a little off our check after being persistent about our bad experience.
Always a solid choice. 14 friends met for lunch on 1/9/2018. We had Hannah as our server, and she was excellent. She easily handled the group, was very attentive, and met all our needs. The majority of the group ordered the soup/salad/breadsticks for $13, which is quite a deal as these are constantly refilled until you eat your fill! You have your choice of Maryland crab soup, Cream of Crab soup, and the soup of the day. The soup of the day was crab and corn chowder which was delicious. I also had the Cream of Crab soup. That is a little thick for me, but still very good. The salad is fresh and flavorful. Since we dined on Tuesday, the 2 for $25 crab cake special was valid. One of the group ordered this. The crab cakes are large and tasty, full of lump crab meat. Of course, since the special is so generous, they were able to take half their meal home to enjoy later! Basta Pasta is a great neighborhood gem.

We love Basta Pasta and go there frequently. The portions are huge and we always take home enough for one more dinner and maybe another lunch. The salad is great and we love the breadsticks. Highly recommend Basta Pasta.
An enjoyable restaurant with a nice atmosphere and great food. Service and staff are friendly and accommodating. Every meal starts with garlic rolls and salad and is topped off with a great entrée. From seafood to Italian to steaks and chops, everything they serve is delicious. Prices are moderate. It's definitely a restaurant worth trying.
My favorite restaurant, food and good prices. I would like to see more of some of my favorite cheesecakes- pumpkin and peppermint. These two special holiday flavors are always gone.
Enjoyed a delicious dinner on New Year’s Eve with exceptional service. The only drawback was it got noisy because a large group was inour room. Would have preferred a room with a fireplace
Food as wonderful as usual but the chef had a challenging night when cooking a filet minion which was sent back twice. It was graciously taken care of
