Bass Street Chop House
Bass Street Chop House offers the Quad Cities, private dining spaces for special events and a full service bar. The Chop Bar offers signature cocktails, extensive wine, bourbon, single malt scotch collection, as well as a Chop Bar Menu featuring outstanding sandwiches.
Like all hospitality services in this COvID-19 world, they suffer from having too much business and not enough staff to handle it. They did a commendable job once we were seated. The waiter was good. The food coming out of the kitchen was a bit slow but on point, except the mac & cheese was cold the first time and barely much warmer the next. We love to people and food. We will come back, just probably not at 7:00 PM on Saturday night.
We were really looking forward to dining at the "new" Bass Street Chop house. We loved the previous venue. The interior remodeling was okay but the exterior looked like it wasn't finished. We were seated next to a large group table of 6 where we were almost touching the other diners. We ordered steaks and sea bass and a side of brussel sprouts. The fish was wonderful but the medium rare steak was cold and, frankly, had little flavor and the Brussels were placed in a soupy broth which seemed odd. Our waiter tried very hard to make things right and was wonderful but he couldn't help the quality of the food. A $150 meal for two people even in high end cities like Chicago should be wonderful but it wasn't. We will not be back. Very disappointing experience.
The food was good and the service was good. It was a little expensive.
Excellent service, helpful. Great wine selection. Food could use more seasoning, and expensive.
We have been customers of Bass Street Chop House for years. The experience is always of the highest quality, from the wait staff to the food and to the setting. We have NEVER been disappointed at any of our visits to Bass Street Chop House.
Had a wonderful birthday celebration evening with our family. Hunter did a great job serving and Scott’s singing Happy Birthday capped the evening!
New location for Bass Street. Personally I enjoyed the last location better. The food I got was great. A friend ordered crab legs and they weren’t good. There were six of us and five of us were very pleased with our meals. I would definitely return and recommend Bass Street. Our waitress was great! They make their own ranch dressing. It was really good.
First of all it was like eating in a refrigerator, very cold! The amount that they charge for the quality of the beef is NOT worth it. I had eating at the old restaurant a few times and had always loved the beef. Not sure what has changed? There are far better places in the Quad Cities for steak.
The burgers here were very good and worth waiting for. Unfortunately, as with so many establishments these days, the staff was shorthanded. They did their best and were extremely pleasant...but the ratio of staff to guests was just too low to keep up. It may still be one of the best restaurants in Rock Island as the choices are pretty limited.
Zu wenig Personal, ansonsten alles top.
Food was good....but.....food quality didn't justify the cost. Servers were excellent.
I was here for a business meeting and they exceeded all expectations. The food and service was fantastic!
My wife had to send her steak back to cook longer and my lobster tail was not fully cooked. I sent it back also. No manager came to ask about our food.
We had a wonderful evening dining at the Bass Street Chop House for our daughters birthday. Love the new location and the ambiance of the restaurant. From the moment Robin greeted us at the door to the delightful and attentive server Brittany our night was perfect. Our meals were delicious and the wine selection was top notch. We will definitely return.
Great service. Garlic salad was fantastic and our filets were delicious
For our anniversary, Bass Street Chop House gave us a free glass of champagne, which was very enjoyable. Three different employees wished us a happy anniversary ; nice personal touch. The stuffed mushroom appetizers were very tasty and my wife's pork chop dinner along with my dry-aged steak were outstanding. AAA all the way. It's always been that way at Bass Street Chop House. Keep up the good work Bass Street.
Dinner was great. Bar could use some help.
Staff were friendly and the food was exceptional. They have some creative offerings and were willing to adjust items.
Food and service were great, but like every thing else right now it was expensive.
Great food, pricey, good service.
Went for lunch at their new location and was very pleased! All of the favorites of their old location are back plus some new additions! Love their new lunch options!!
I understand Bass Street Chop House is in a new facility, and they are short-staffed. Aside from a fairly long wait to order and receive the food, my biggest complaint was the "Kobe" charbroiled hamburger. It was supposed to be medium well, and was served medium rare. It was also barely warm. Fries and Plantation salads were great. Coffee was good. Our server did a pretty good job (it was her first day as a server). I'm sure things will only get better as they settle in and hire more help. Guess I would recommend getting reservations at the very beginning of the lunch hour or the very end for all of the above reasons.
Food was delicious! Bar service was very slow and inconsistent. Need bus service employees not wait staff.
Father’s Day. Very nice. Love the new location and the views. ❤️❤️❤️ Our wait staff was wonderful.
Bass Street was our favorite restaurant in the Quad Cities for special occasions like anniversaries and out-of-town visitors. We were delighted to learn that they are now back in a new location, and we finally had a chance to dine in last Saturday evening. We found that everything is still great -- wine list, food, and service!
The garlic butter parm on our steaks had the flavor of panko crumbs rather than buttery parm. Everything else was the same quality we have always enjoyed. It was great to be back after the long shutdown. Service was fantastic!
The food was really wonderful and our server was outstanding. Can't wait to return.
First time back since the reopening. They did not disappoint in any way. I failed to notice they had reopened in a new location, (the old Friday’s location next to the Mark) but that was on me. The food was top notch and the service was fabulous.
Need to hire a bar tender that knows how to mix drinks properly. Cheap wine list just typed on a sheet of paper.
very relaxing comfortable atmosphere. Staff were engaging and I felt like a valued guest. Cannot say enough on waitstaff being attentive and measured in my dinning experience.
To start with , the remodel was nice. The food was just ok for the price point. Please take note of simple things. The wine list should have better presentation than a typed up list on a worn piece of 8x10 paper. A cocktail list or signature cocktail list separates a mediocre restaurant from a good one. With the mark up on alcohol, they could have sold us more. A bread basket with selection of breads and butter impresses those of us that don’t even eat bread. Although the food was decent, the smaller sister restaurant in East Moline does a better job overall. Lastly, the bill came out as a paper receipt without a book or jacket. Tacky. Sorry this is a negative review but there is work to be done. Take a trip Ruthie’s in Davenport to see how it’s done.
Great food & great service. Knowledgeable, friendly staff
Unfortunately it took over 2 hours for only 4 people in the party. Cost was quite expensive. That would be OK if experience and food was worth it, but in this case we found pricing similar to high-end steakhouses but without either the ambiance or quality to justify the cost.
Steak was fantastic. Veggies and potatoes were very cold
Great to return to an old favorite. Welcomed back by Scott, and good to see him. The restaurant looks fabulous with lots of changes but many of the fixtures that reminds you of the previous Bass Street. The menu was great for their early reopening. Enjoyed our evening and can’t wait to return,
We have been going to bass street chop house for years. So happy to see them open again. The service was excellent The view of the river And outdoor dining will be a plus.Overall The food was good And I know they are still trying to work out this new opening. We will definitely be back.
The fish fry was excellent the service was five star and one of our favorite places in QC!
The new place is beautiful and food was delicious we cannot wait until the patio is open!
We were there early in the day, at 11:30, they were out of Diet Coke, they don’t have/give bread or crackers for soup, the steak was overdone and had to be redone, which was better but still overdone. Wait staff barely checked on us, the food was subpar. Seafood is not a choice there other than salmon and fish and chips (and lobster Mac and cheese).
The online menu is also not up to date. We chose that restaurant based on the online menu and was disappointed that many of the items are not offered.
We will not be back
