I find it almost impossible to find a great steak any more. Bass Street Chop House is one of the best steak houses I've ever been to. They have quality cuts expertly prepared. The wait staff was equally enjoyable. Friendly and knowledgeable about everything on the menu. The interior is classic American steak house, lots of wood and leather. I enjoyed a Sazerac cocktail before dinner, a nice Zinfandel with dinner, and a bourbon after. They have a very well stocked wine cellar and bar. They have one of the best bourbon selections in the area that I know of. My son had the 12 oz. NY Strip and he loved it. I could tell it was super tender. I had the aged 14 oz. Delmonico and it was fantastic. Cooked perfectly to medium rare, tender, and incredibly flavorful. I can't say enough good things about the place. Be prepared to spend a fair amount as this premium experience comes at a cost.
Our first visit. We are from FL, but were in town for a Birthday. Loved the Plantation salad. The Prime Rib was so so, and my fish too dry. The filet was wonderful. Our server had too large of a station, so service could have been better.
From the moment we walked in, the hostess was very welcoming and professional. Don, our server, Was very efficient and most accommodating. The Quad City area is very fortunate to have a 5 Star Restaurant such as the Bass Street Chop House !
Has always the food was good and the service was excellent.
We went as part of the restaurant week experience. We had a wonderful time, will definitely return!
Great service and food was very good, just very expensive!!
Great food ... like always!
Perfect experience. Chose Bass Street prior to the Blake Shelton concert. Was seated on time, ordered fast and able to make the show in plenty of time. Server was great. It was treat to eat food prepared by an award winning executive chef. Will be back again & again!
Wonderful evening. Everyone helped us with a great time. Cameron did a great job.
The restaurant was freezing! Steak eaters liked their steak, but for the price I would hope so. Pasta with scallops not great. Pasta was flavorless. Scallops were good but a little gritty. Definitely would choose a different restaurant. Had high expectations but was disappointed
Excellent as always. Delightful staff. Exceptional food served beautifully.
Everything was great but the prime rib was a little tough.
Bass Street is a beautiful, bustling restaurant with great steaks, great cocktails, wonderful staff. We had a really special evening.
The steaks were served cold. I had to send mine back twice.
To be fair they comp'ed the entrees
great atmosphere and wonderful background music. we beat the Valentine's Day rush by going a day early and enjoying a quiet meal. The steak and salmon were excellent and the service second to none.
Great as always!
We were seated right away. The server was excellent, as was the food. Wonderful.
Everything was good! The scallops were a little undercooked, but they were very tasty and very large. We asked to get new ones and there were no issues with that. The steaks were fantastic as well!
Food was AWESOME, service was AWESOME, price was hefty but worth it.
We like the half off bottles of wine on Fridays. We also prefer the bar side as it’s a little more casual and the menu more affordable.
One of our favorite restaurants in the Quad Cities!!
Everything was wonderful as always! Although a lot of their booths seem to be falling apart and are all torn up.
The Chef's creative cuisine on Fridays is almost always outstanding, the drinks are top shelf and the service usually matches the top cuisine and drink ratings. Guest can expect to be pleased.
Great food, Great service, and excellent wine. We weren't disappointed.
Had a great time. Food was outstanding, as always. And the service, as always, was fantastic. Our waiter, Joshua, knew everything and he was a lot of fun.
We have eaten here before several times. We were dissapointed that we spent 2.5 hours waiting for our food. Our appetizer was not hot. Luke warm at best. Our steak was great but our mashed potatoes were slightly warm. The other couples scallop pasta was bland and not hot. Service was slow and we were not kept informed about what was going on with the food. Was offered free desert but after waiting as long as we did, we were ready to go. Very dissapointed overall, considering the price you pay;$100+
Service was slow on all fronts; yet restaurant was not busy. The Lobster Pot pie was served warm and taste was good but the filling was not up to the price tag it carried. Price/value is not aligned. Prices are equal to what I experience in Chicago or New York; yet the food quality and service are not up to par.
The dry aged steaks are reason along to dine here, but their fresh seafood and other entries are also well worth it. Service is the best in the Quad Cities and compares to the best steak houses in downtown Chicago!
We actually will drive over an hour to dine here! The filet is amazing. We also love the mac and cheese. We almost always order the calamari for an appetizer.
Excellent food , excellent service. One of my favorite places for steaks
As always, a delightful experience. Good food and drink specials is a great way to end the week at Bass St..
Great food with prompt service. Always a pleasure.
Very good food and great service. Recommend for special occasions.
Always great food and a fun atmosphere...oe of our favorite restaurants
Eat here pretty regularly. Food is very good most all the time.
Usual great service, but the bar menu was unavailable. They had also pulled items off of the main menu which still appeared in their online menu. One of our seafood lovers had to find an alternative dish and...well, she made the wrong choice. The seafood risotto was a mess of mismatched flavors. We’ll definitely be back, but will make different choices next time, probably from the trusty bar menu.
Very nice place. The dinning is a little expensive but the food and service is always good
Nice variety or meat & seafood, very professional service and a nicely valued wine list.
