Bass Street Chop House
Bass Street Chop House offers the Quad Cities, private dining spaces for special events and a full service bar. The Chop Bar offers signature cocktails, extensive wine, bourbon, single malt scotch collection, as well as a Chop Bar Menu featuring outstanding sandwiches.
Excellent service in the bar!
Couple of cocktails, a burger and fries, salmon sandwich and fries with tip $100. Hate to think what a steak dinner might run!
Service was great but food was marginal. Filet steaks looked grey and were not flavorful, even the bone in filet looked grey. Definitely not appetizing. Lobster bisque was a complete purée, no lobster bits and a strong sherry flavor. This visit was not worth the price. I could not recommend this restaurant based on this visit. Food was poor quality.
Unfortunately my wife and I didn't have a very good experience. Our food was marginal at best . Which surprised us because we have friends that say great things about it. My wife had the lobster bisque and tuna appetizer. Bisque looked and tasted like tomato soup. Just a slight hint of lobster. Tuna that was supposed to be shashimi grade was far from it. I had the fillet. Although it looked nice and was cooked the way I prefer, it just lacked flavor. And was a little hard to chew. A good steak to me just melts in your mouth. I prefer mine very rare. Not to mention our waiter never asked how our food was. So chances are we won't be visiting again anytime soon.
My husbands 70th Birthday.
Great food, great service
Close to taxslayer arena so able to walk after dinner and only park once
The chopped salad with Salmon was very disappointing. There were very few vegetables and the piece of salmon was small. Very overpriced. Compared to the chopped salad with salmon at Tap 22 I would rate the Bass Street salad a distant 2nd. The fish in the fish and chips appeared to be purchased from a box and not prepared on site. We have dined here numerous times and have always been satisfied. This experience makes us wonder - what has changed?
We come to this restaurant whenever we are in town. The owners are always there which shows how much they care for their restaurant. We always ask for Larry to be our server. The food is outstanding. I try not to eat red meat, but almost always have a filet there. My family also loves the macaroni and cheese. The seafood is outstanding as well. I love the grilled asparagus. If you are up for an appetizer go for the calamari!!!
Bass St. offers excellent food and service. Whether it be a casual dinner, holiday brunch, business dinner, date-night, or special occasion Bass St. does an outstanding job in regards to the quality of food and impeccable service. I've frequented Bass St. for years and have always enjoyed my meals there. Managing Partner Jeff Harrop and his team do excellent work. I would recommend Bass St. to anyone and everyone!
This was a reservation to celebrate our wedding anniversary and the quality of the food and the ambiance of the staff, particularly that of our waitress, made it a totally enjoyable and memorable occasion!
Very good food. Service was amazing. Our server, Don H. did a fantastic job. He was attentive without being overbearing, served each course in a timely manner, was genuinely friendly, and had great recommendations. Try the appetizer bacon wrapped scallops-tasty. Ribeye was seasoned to perfection. Bass street punch was a drink favorite. We like the atmosphere.
Waited for food for about 45 min. Another 30 min between apps and meal. Waitress very nice-not sure what prob was. Other tables served more quickly. Love this place but might not go back.
I took long time business friends from LA here and chose it from a number of places such as duck city johnneys biaggies and rhythm city upstairs. I was so embarrassed and disappointed that I may never go back and I have always enjoyed it. It was also dead
Great service -- very polite and attentive. Food was great. However, some items listed on the menu were not available.
The restaurant was clean. Our server Larry was great. The food was delicious.
The waiter was annoying.
We have been to Bass Street a number of times. The food was delicious, as usual. This was the first time, though, that our service was very good. In every previous visit, our service has been terribly slow, with excuse after excuse given as to why. We always believed that service at a restaurant of this caliber should be something that would not be an issue for diners. After a long break from dining here, we decided to try again. We were very pleased with our experience, and hope this means service issues have been eliminated. We plan to return in the future to see how things are going, and enjoy some more delicious food.
Awesome food! Great atmosphere! Completely understand the target market, so not the most kid - friendly menu/table setting (high ball glasses). We made it work.
Usually love this place, but the Mother's Day Brunch was way over priced for what they had. Won't do that again. Asked for table and got a booth. Wasn't very happy with any of it.
Amazing Mother’s Day brunch. Such a wide variety of items. Great job everyone!!!
Took wife and kids to mother's day brunch. We all loved it. The food was great, the atmosphere was perfect, the waiter was great, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. We will be back!
Great service and better food, we are always satisfied when we leave
I ate here with family for a post graduation meal. Server was very friendly and personable. He explained the entire menu. Food was fantastic and cooked to perfection. Best steak I have ever ate! I highly recommend this restaurant.
Great food, presented and served well with outstanding wines.
We dined here following a ceremony at St. Ambrose University. Our waiter was excellent, provided great guidance about the menu and the wines. The Risotto was more fishy than I would have liked. The texture was perfect. The beef selections were amazing, as was the lobster bisque. Salads were huge and very tasty. The pork chop was a it on the dry side. It was a good dining experience. It is somewhat noisy there, so harder to have a conversation for the people in our party who were hard of hearing.
Always a good meal, thoroughly enjoyed the Prime Brisket but way to much for one person to finish.
My family sat in the bar area for dinner and had a wonderful dinner. We tried some of the specials and new features. We were not left disappointed with any of our selections. Everything was delicious!!! Prepared just as requested.
The food is excellent, as well as the service. Timely in getting food out and the staff is attentive. Recommend the bar menu and also the chocolate cake is to die for!
Steaks were cold when brought to table. Missing sides.
Like any good chop house, the best part of the meal was the steaks and sides. Excellent service. Appetizers, soup, salad, and dessert were great too.
Bacon wrapped Scallops and Lobster Bisque were very good. In regards to the steak, it was good but I have had better bone-in-filets at that price point.
Great birthday celebration for my husband's 69th birthday. The staff was friendly, courteous, professional. The food was outstanding, perfect portions. One of the nicest restaurants in the quad cities.
This was our first experience at Bass Street Chop House, and it definitely will NOT be our last! The food and service were impeccable. All the staff, from our fantastic waiter Daniel, to the Chefs and greeters were very friendly and accommodating. Thank you for making our family Easter celebration special!
My husband and I went to Bass Street for Easter Brunch. We have been to the restaurant one other time, so we were aware of how noisy it can be...they definitely need to address this some how...This was our first time for brunch. The food was good-$30 good-I'm not sure about that. The selection was minimal-3 salads placed at the end of the buffet line and 3 dessert options-brownies, muffins, pound cake at the beginning of the buffet line? The restaurant does not really lend itself to buffet serving-the line was very long and you stand among the tables of others eating...Our waiter was excellent-very attentive and personable.
The Easter brunch was great!
Always a great place to go. We love coming for brunch when it is offered too - its always wonderful!
This was a good meal but not great. Nothing remarkable about anything. Definitely not in the same league as St. Elmo's or Jeff Ruby's... except for the pricing.
Once again, Bass Street really hit the mark. Great crab cakes, crisp salad, great baked potato and wonderful prime rib. Our waiter was very helpful and very knowledgeable. The special wine pricing for Friday night was an added highlight to a very memorable dining experience.
Enjoyed a quiet date night for a special occasion. Both the steaks and the seafood did not disappoint and our service was top notch. We'll be back for sure!
Nice evening for a one time event. Wouldn’t go back regularly. Overpriced for quality.
