    NY Strip Steak way overcooked and ordered Medium Rare and was done with barely any pink plus grizzly and not a good cut; was very surprised. Guess that happens when it day of your birthday. No bone in NY available at 5:45pm Staff and ambiance excellent along with location.

    Absolutely a lovely a night. Perfect company, perfect food, perfect service. My filet was delicious as well as the caesar salad and the crème brûlée. Very picturesque room overlooking the river. Top notch steakhouse, I can’t wait to return.

    We had seafood appetizers and they were delicious. The lobster corn soup was delicious. Our steaks were cooked to perfection and the service was amazing. We will be back.

    I wish I could provide a review on something more than the service but, I can't. Our visit began with the hostess taking us to a table that was not ready. Despite there being numerous other tables that were available. We were brought back to the lobby and told we had to wait while the table was prepared before we could be seated. We waited about five minutes before being seated. Shortly after being seated, our waitress came to the table, introduced herself and asked if we had dined here before. When we stated "no" she said she would return and explain the menu. She also took our drink order. She left and while we waited, we saw her attending to other tables but, not ours. She did not bring our drinks and did not even stop at our table to offer an "I'll be right with you." The restaurant was not visibly busy and there was no apparent reason for our waitress not attending to our table. After being neglected for twenty to twenty-five minutes, we decided to leave and dine somewhere else, where our business was appreciated and customer service was important.

    We went to the chop house to celebrate our anniversary. Our first reaction was to our appetizer, fried portobello. Amazing. This was followed by a good salad, awesome bread and the best tenderloin I have ever had. Highly recommend

    We both had the prime rib and it was excellent! The au jus is spectacular….the best I have ever had!! Served fresh bread…yum! The mixed greens salad was great as well. Definitely will be back!

    I was part of the steak/chop house scene in the 60-70s. Bass gets it on the surface (decor, music, staff) but it does not run deep. They need to work harder to make it a real steak/chop house. Good start!

    This restaurant is charging like a high dollar restaurant but it isn’t. Steak’s should be thicker and more juicy as the taste was mediocre and didn’t have the taste nor juicy flavor. Also charging separately for sides. How ridiculous is that to bring the steak out on your plate without juice from the steak and not having vegetables or a side to go with it. If you trying to mimic Ruth Crisp you totally missed. I was looking for a great dinner and all I have is regret for spending that much money for this. Figure it out folks???

    Great food! I wish the sever and bartender were happier about being there. They need bussers for the tables. Attention to details like replenishing water/drinks and taking dirty plates was not happening.

    As usual, the atmosphere, food and service were exceptional at Bass Street. Mike was attentive and awesome! This is a hidden gem for a brunch spot on Sundays and we’ve never had a bad experience, bad meal or bad service, would recommend to anyone!

    I am still in shock, upset and honestly appalled by the way this restaurant’s manager and part owner treated us and broke the ADA Federal Law. As soon as we walked in we were disrespected by one of the managers, Mark. He demanded and kept repeating that he needed to see paperwork for a service dog. It was explained that he is a service dog and he can’t legally ask for that. We explained what he can ask, but he just shook his head and helped other guests get seated while he waited for the paperwork. Mark continued to raise his voice, talk in a disrespectful manner and cause a scene which was completely humiliating and uncalled for. We pulled up the paperwork anyway to show proof that he is a service dog for a medical purpose. This completely violates the handler’s rights and breaks the law. Then one of the part owners, David, came over. He walked up to us with anger in his voice and talked to us in a way that floored me even more. He said that he knew the law and they needed the paperwork. We told him clearly he doesn’t know the law and reexplained that they are breaking the federal law. David told us that there are plenty of other places for us to go to! Talk about discrimination! We truly wanted to educate them and explain the law so that this does not happen to anyone ever again at this establishment, but neither one of them would calm down, listen to us and treat us with respect. Upon leaving, Mark was nowhere to be found and we had to request to talk to David. We pulled up the federal law to show him and he then stated he didn’t need to see it because they went and read it after telling us they knew it. So after creating an awfully humiliating & upsetting scene (again, breaking the law) and realizing they were in the wrong they did not come up and apologize! They didn’t try to make it right! Wow! That right there shows these two characters, how they treat others and how they run this business.

    Meat quality was not as good as usual. Did not seem to have a good texture. Green beans were undercooked. Not even al dente. Hard. Our waitress was ok but clearly spread too thin.

    I’ll give them another shot, but it has fallen far from where it was a few years ago. There were lights flickering in the dining area that killed the atmosphere. It was like eating dinner in a subway station. Tenderloin tips app was great.

    This was our first time here and it definitely won't be our last! The food was phenomenal and the bourbon list was incredible. Our service was good but I think our server had a huge number of tables so it could've been better. She was great, though, when we saw her. We'll be back for sure!

    We had a reservation for 12:30 & didn't get our food until 1:30 but we didn't notice it because we were having a good conversation at our table. The omelet I had was just okay. Companions all had Eggs Benedict and said it was good.

    SERVICE WAS ABSOLUTELY EXCEPTIONAL. The food was tasty and the portion size was as close to right as possible. The fruit served with the brunch included raspberries, blueberries, pineapple, and a variety of other fruits giving a pleasant appearance, and good taste, and it was served in a larger than-normal dish, making it an exceptional brunch when coupled with the main course.
