Bass Street Chop House
Bass Street Chop House offers the Quad Cities, private dining spaces for special events and a full service bar. The Chop Bar offers signature cocktails, extensive wine, bourbon, single malt scotch collection, as well as a Chop Bar Menu featuring outstanding sandwiches.
Great food, wine, and service! We usually sit in the bar area vs. the main dining because it is more casual in nature.
The service was very good. They changed the salmon which I've always loved. It was good, but better with the pecan chutney. I was told that I could have asked for the pecan chutney. I guess maybe they should tell people that if they don't see something to ask. Everything else was delicious. Our server forgot to bring bread, but we had plenty to eat so didn't say anything. Highly recommend.
Karen, thank you for your nice review. We appreciate it. Just a FYI: we still have the option of a Chutney Salmon as we previously prepared it. It its on the menu as an optional preparation. If you don't see it on the menu just ask your server. Hopefully next time in you can enjoy it. Thank You, Jeff Harrop
One of our very favorite places in the Quad Cities!! Great food, great service, and wonderful drinks!
The meal for my wife and I was absolutely delicious. I think the only thing that was a bit concerning to us were the prices. It is fairly expensive for the area but the food didn't disappoint. The service was pretty good too. Overall great ambiance and I believe this place has something for everyone.
Food was good, but our server made the night. She was outstanding.
We did the outdoor seating for the Thursday night concert event. Although we recieved drinks right away, we had to get up and get our own menus. About 20 mins later our drinks were empty and we had to go inside to find a server to take our dinner order. 2 people at the table ordered the same drink again and the second one came back as a sweet wine. After our third drink the waiter said it tasted different depending on which bartender made it. Food was excellent and gone very fast due to time we waited.
Highly recommend indoor eating.
We are going to give the patio a chance again in a few weeks for one more outdoor concert we like. Hopefully better service.
Attentive and friendly service with great food and excellent wine.
Very friendly and professional staff! Our dinner was wonderful!
Steaks were the best ever!
First time using the Open Table app. I wish more places used it because it worked and it was easy to use. Saves time over waiting on hold to make reservations over the phone.
Bass Street is our favorite place to eat in the whole QCA. We only go to the bar side because it’s more casual and can be a quick dinner, if you don’t have time for a full-on sit down, multi-course meal. The food is always very good and the chef’s special is almost always amazing. This time I had the wild boar burger - yes, you read that correctly. It was actual wild boar meat. It had a unique flavor - part pulled pork, part beef. My only caution would be for salt-sensitive people. The sandwich seemed very salty, and I’m someone who salts everything. Maybe the meat was brined after grinding, I don’t know. Definitely taste it before adding your own salt. My wife and daughter split a regular burger. My daughter has an egg sensitivity and had a little difficulty getting info about whether the bun had egg in it (it did). Bass Street Landing should look into a vegan bun for the people who want/need it.
I’ve had their Kobe beef burger before and it is also excellent. My wife usually gets the regular (corn finished beef) burger and it’s fun to compare the two. Be sure you don’t add bacon and/or egg to the Kobe. They take away from the flavor difference, and you might as well save the extra money for another beer. Speaking of beer, that have a nice selection but it would be nice if they had a small menu of the craft beers on tap. We have to ask every time we go and it wastes valuable beer drinking time.
The service has almost always been great, and when it hasn’t been, it’s way better than some places. I’m sure their business has decreased since the closure of the IA bound lanes on I-74, but that shouldn’t deter you from trying Bass Street Landing. My only concern about giving the place high marks is that it might make it harder to get in the next time. ;-)
Great dinner. Drink service was slow but appeared to be at bar. Server great
All wonderful!! One very loud customer nearby for a short time, but that can't always be helped.
Great place, great food, great wine list. We would come much more often if we didn't live an hour away.
Made reservations but hostess didn’t seem to have a table for us. Waited on a table for a short time. Ordered drinks and entree. Was told that they were out of the pasta I ordered about 30 min after placing our order. Changed to another entree, waited almost 1 1/2 hours with no one coming to update us or offer more drinks. Finally we walked out and told our waiter on the way out that we just couldn’t wait any longer....he didn’t seem concerned al all. Appears to be really nice restaurant with great menu, but service had some serious problems.
Our dinner took over 3 hours on a Saturday. We got a reservation and the time from ordering the food to the deliver of the food was over 2 hours. We lost appetite before our food got to the table.
Overall great experience in a nice location. Loved the Delmonico, a great cut of meat!
We were in town for the John Deere Classic so the restaurant was busy with a number of professional golfers. The three of us each ordered steaks; all were cooked perfectly. Sides are served family style and were excellent. Service has always been exceptional and this evening was no different. This continues to be our favorite restaurant when we’re in the Quad Cities. We highly recommend!
Very disappointed. Had friend fly in from SF. She looked at the menu before arriving to the Quads, and decided to have the Pork Chop. She was very excited. Reservation was at 7PM, and waiter told us you were out of the pork chop. Isn’t that your signature meal? If I would have known that item was not available, I would have cancelled the reservation.
I ordered the pork chop. 3/4 of it was fat. Walked away still hungry
This restaurant is one of the best places for fine dining in the Quad City area, and we always consider Bass Street for special occasions. The food is great from start to finish, and the service is always relaxed but very attentive. I especially like their wine list, which includes many special reds and whites, including Opus One.
We has great service at our visit to Bass Street Chop House! The staff were very friendly and prompt and the food was wonderful!
Waiter was excellent. Food was delicious. Everything came out in a timely fashion. We had a wonderful date night
Enjoyed cocktails and dinner before a concert at the TaxSlayer Center. We had a table in the back corner of the bar area and it was perfect. Tucked away and relaxing. Service was spot on and the food and drinks were delicious. Always a favorite place for us before concert. One of the Quad Cities best restaurants.
Best server ever !!!!!!!!!!!, really good restaurant, he took care of us, to the fullest, thank you
Very friendly, greeter was very welcoming, and food was excellent as well as service.
They were very complimentary on our anniversary
Food was excellent although they ran out of prime rib (my husbands first choice). Love the half price bottles of wine on fridays.
Food was awesome, we all love Bass Street. Owners are fantastic. Always accommodate us. Larry seemed a little distracted..
There was nothing bad just that the food quality with respect to the price was high. Prefer not to order separate sides with entree. Mediocre red wine.
Thank you for your feedback. A couple of questions. on the red wine you found mediocre, did my server recommend something you didn't like or was it a wine you ordered?? sorry your didn't appreciate the value of what we have to offer on food quality. We buy the best product available in the markets that we have restaurants. I look forward to hearing back from you on the wine.
Rhea was awesome and the food incredible!
Always outstanding food & service is above & beyond!
As always - exceptional service - exceptional food selections - exceptional evening....
In house dry aged steaks cooked and served as requested with impeccable service.
We had a very long wait between ordering McCartney even better!
Very pricey for an average dinner. All side dishes are sold separately, so complete meal was very expensive.
If we didn’t have a gift card we wouldn’t have gone. Food was only so-so and the price was ridiculous. Had we not got a slice of cake at the end, which was actually the only really good food we had, we would have left hungry despite each of us getting an entree, sharing an appetizer and a side.
On the plus side the server and hostess were really nice.
I dislike fast food restaurants but I would rather go to Hardee’s vs. returning here.
I absolutely loved my anniversary dinner at this place! My husband is a big steak guy and he's very picky--but he absolutely raved about the cut he got here. I'm not so big on steak, but there was no shortage of other options to choose from, including a ton of fresh seafood that made it really hard for me to decide. We had several "courses" since we ordered an appetizer, salads, and our entrees, along with the complimentary (and delicious) house bread. The timing of everything was perfect, we had plenty of time to talk and enjoy each item we ordered. I highly recommend this spot and we will be back!
This is our favorite place to dine. They have a spectacular menu and the food is awesome!
Great service, drinks were great good And the food was excellent. Ambience is fun and a great place for a small group.
The food was outstanding, the wait staff was friendly and accommodating and the wine was wonderful! One of our favorite places to dine and love the ambience.
