Bass Street Chop House
Bass Street Chop House offers the Quad Cities, private dining spaces for special events and a full service bar. The Chop Bar offers signature cocktails, extensive wine, bourbon, single malt scotch collection, as well as a Chop Bar Menu featuring outstanding sandwiches.
The featured “Skipper” burger was a perfect orchestration of fine beef, lettuce, tomato, onion, gruyere, blue cheese, and love. Delicious.
Everything was well prepared and delicious, but the tiramisu was exceptional. Our server was very good, very professional. Overall a very enjoyable evening.
Two couples enjoyed the dining experience with separate checks. We would have each liked to use our coupons, but were not allowed.
Fabulous meal as always! Cream Corn always keeps us coming back for more! Delicious steaks and sides! Top that all off with great service by Shannon! He made it even better experience. Highly recommend.
I would recommend for now. I have only experienced once.
Really bad food at a very high price. Will not recommend to any one.
Went to Bass Street to celebrate our engagement and they really made it a memorable experience. From the service to the food, it was all around a very good dinner.
Scott was training Will, a new server, Friday night. Will did a great job. My wife and I had an enjoyable date night and look forward to returning. The special soup (Pork Belly) and pasta (Chicken with chorizo) were excellent. My wife liked the new way of doing the airline chicken (mushroom sauce). Thanks for making Bass Street predictably excellent every time we come.
Food was great and server was good, but it took about 45 minutes from order to get a couple of sandwiches.
Bass Street used to be one of my favorite restaurants in the Quad Cities and has been the site for family milestones like engagement parties and birthdays. Lately though, the dining experience there has been disappointing. A few examples include being cut by a shard of glass when a wine glass fell off a trolley rolling by, several meals in a party of 30 being served cold, and last night when a meal took 3 hours (huge lags between courses). Sadly, though you can still get a solid meal there, has gone from a first pick to a third or fourth pick for a nice meal.
We frequently go and have never had a bad experience.
We frequent Bass Street for their fabulous food and usually awesome service and we always go for restaurant week because of th great deal. However this visit was not as pleasurable as usual. Our waiter was very friendly but left us in the cold, he was training someone and seemed preoccupied with that task. The portobello appetizer took forever and was over cooked. The pork chop that was advertised was not available. Was never offered a 2nd drink. And the time between courses was extremely long. Other diners came and ate and left before we got our main course. Our coats were taken when we arrived but had to fetch them ourselves from behind the curtain when leaving.
We love this restaurant and hope this is not the new normal! The food was great as usual except for the portabello.
They were out of almost all of their chefs choice steaks and most of their sides by Saturday evening. The hostess was incredibly rude because there was a misunderstanding in whose name our reservation was under; and our orders were both screwed up by the time we finally got them. For the price, this was not worth it. We will not be back.
A very popular, higher end institution with excellent service (I ate whatever the waiter highly recommended; that worked out just fine). A largely pre-concert crowd, with the concomitant excitement that might be expected resulted in a rather boisterous environment; non-the-less a good time was had by all!
This is the 3rd time I have been back to try out the steak. The two prior times my steak was burnt and this visit it was medium rare. I requested well not burnt. My companion ate her food in the time it took to recook my rare steak. I made reservations to have an enjoyable dinner together. The 2nd steak came back rarer than the first one served. We were told by the waiter that he would inform management about the steak, no one stopped by our table. The waiter had to many tables and was not attentive to our table. For the price of your restaurant, the food quality and wait staff was unacceptable.
I had gift certificates from Christmas and was only allowed to use 1. They come in increments of $10 or the bone-in rib-eyes were excellent and so was the Mac and cheese. Also, the waiter did a very nice job and was friendly.
I normally have a great experience at Bass Street but my order was wrong which was disappointing. I also felt as if the quality of the dish I received was comparable to a similar dish I have ordered at Olive Garden which was just as good but much less expensive. Otherwise, my experience in the past has been great but did not have a great experience this time.
Food was delicious! My Delmonico Dry Aged steak was one of the best I have ever eaten. Our waiter was very attentive and personable. Will definitely visit again when we are in the area.
First time at Bass Street Chp House, overall the experience was great.. We had reservations for 8pm, & weren't seated untill 8:30ish.. & even after walk-ins! No place to sit while waiting, had to stand the entire time.. reception area under-staffed for valentines weekend.. not much acknowledgement once announcing you were there. Dining experience was excellent! Food excellent! Service was awesome! Our server was great & knowledgeable about menu. Would & have already strongly recommended it to friends & family. Cannot wait to head back again!
Seated quickly in the bar area...took quite awhile to get our cocktails after ordering them promptly. We were a table of 6. The server said they were really busy. We ordered appetizers and the sausage appetizer was COLD. The other appetizer was just fine. I always order the steak salad and this time the steak was OVER COOKED and just a few pieces. It usually was beautiful and prepared perfectly. I brought new friends with us and was sad the experience wasn't the best. I had to send my steak back from my salad and after they returned with a new one it wasn't much better. One of my friends ordered the green beans side dish and never got it. Automatic 20% gratuity was added to everyone's bills also. I would of thought a manager would of stopped by the table. Very disappointed on this visit...
If one could take their significant other out for a special dinner, this was the one. Reservation was ready when we arrived. The waitress was thoughtful and considerate throughout the entire service. Her timing was perfect from drinks through the end of The evening. We were never rushed and timing was perfect. The food was prepared exactly to our liking, and came out piping hot. Our overall dining experience was the very best. We will go back again.
Had a wonderful dining experience. The food selection was great and the portions were fabulous. Definitely will be back.
Food was geeat, server was very friendly and knowledgeable. The only complaint I have is the time spent there. It was extremely slow. Our reservation was for 715, we we're at our table about 725 or so. We walked out of there at 1010. We just sat at our table waiting for our appetizers, our salads, our entrees and then finally our desserts. We didn't go to the bar for drinks or anything.
Always a pleasure to enjoy the cuisine, however we waited over an hour for our appetizers due to a back up in the kitchen. A 7pm reservation, I didn't get to enjoy my filet until 830pm. It was worth the wait though as the filet was perfect.
Delicious Appetizer, Soup & Food!! Actually ate the leftovers!!!!
My husband and I love coming to Bass Street Chop House for all our special occasions. Food is always fresh and delicious. Service had been delightful each visit.
Everything was great. The service was very slow this time.
We have been a couple of other times. This time wasn't near as good as the other times. Staff was excellent but the food wasn't. Had to send her steak back 2 times before they got it right. Wedge wasn't very good either. It will be awhile before we go back.
It was slow getting a table and service was slow. My steak was not cooked the way asked and then gave us the wrong bill. Just not a place I want to go to again.
Valentines with wife. Hostess Robin always has a nice greeting. Service was excellent even on a busy evening. Good great. Good value
The four of us were generally happy. Parking was not very convenient. The snow drifts did't help. My friend said he would like to return several times to test the menu. I on the other hand, could get equally prepared salmon at half the price.
Very nice place for a special occasion.
Food is always above par and the staff is friendly.
This is an excellent place for fine Dining. Staff is wonderful and the food is outstanding.
Fabulous experience. First rate. Server staff just outstanding. A diverse menu and every item first rate. A warm friendly atmosphere and very comfortable. Offered great selection in the menu. The steak features are particularly good. By far the best dining in the Quad Cities and rivals the finest restaurants in Chicago. At the end of the evening I was so impressed I bought a gift card for the general manager of my company.
Very good overall. The risotto was clumped together and was very very Al dente, like white rice at a Chinese place! My husband had to have his steak taken back because the blue cheese melt on top was black. The steak was cooked to absolute perfection.. However, our needs were met with no questions and the situation was handled very well. We will be back, but never getting the risotto again!
P.s. The beef tips were AMAZING!!
Steak was overdone at first but waiter was quick to replace with a perfectly cooked steak.
Food excellent, service above and beyond exceptional... Don server was awesome! Only thing missing for me was a red dressing for salad... everything else perfect!
Celebrated our 44th wedding anniversary with friends. Total excellent experience. Food, service and environment were all perfect.
Bass Street is always our go to place for special occasions. Food and service are always exceptional.
