Basilicos Ristorante Ratings and Reviews
We had dinner reservations for two for 6:30pm on Saturday 11/11/17. We ordered the fresh mozzarella with roasted peppers as an appetizer. Cheese was fresh and peppers were perfect. Dinner salad has a unique dressing and was large for a dinner salad. We ordered the Shrimp Francaise with the agnolotti and the Lobster Risotto. We shared our entrees. Food quality was very good and I have no complaints on service. Everyone was super friendly even the young lady that called that afternoon to confirm our reservation. I would definitely go here again.
We always enjoy our meal at Basilicos. From the moment we walk in the door and are greeted by the wonderful staff we always feel so welcome. We had chicken parm which was fabulous and a very generous portion. I had the special —chicken saltimbocca over black rice &isotto which was also excellent. We always enjoy the house salad with their special creamy Italian dressing. Our server Annalise was so friendly and always courteous and efficient. We would recommend to everyone who visits Sea Isle to stop at this great restaurant.
The halibut special with coconut black rice was delicious- perfectly cooked, very fresh and flavorful. The pork with figs and apples was very good. Our other friends had veal parmigiana, shrimp with agnolotti, and salmon - everything was so good! We will be back :)
Come on, for these prices we'd like the table to be set up nicely, not have a paper napkin wrapped around the knife and fork. The mussels were inedible and one might have presumed that when all but four mussels are returned there would be a question about why. Weirdest texture ever and foul taste. Some of the food was actually pretty good, but it couldn't make up for the mussels.
Second visit for us with one picky eater. Everything was very good although the service was slow but the server, Nicole, and the rest of the staff were very nice. Ample portions, just finished the third leftover session.
Overall an excellent restaurant in sea isle city.
We brought our friends who were visiting from Michigan. We could have gone anywhere, but we chose Basílicos. Fire roasted peppers with fresh mozzarella with balsamic, scallops on sunflower risotto, lasagna, halibut, salmon. Everything was delicious. Ann took great care of us. Super.
We've come here many times over the past few years. The waitresses and other staff are always friendly and accommodating. We have a special diet and our waitress was cooperative and responsive to our needs (no dairy). It's just a great place to eat and we will return many times, even though the menu is a bit limited for us....we just love the ambiance!
Never disappoints!!! We took another couple to help celebrate our engagement. Vinson recognized us and came to our table for a great chat! The food was outstanding as usual and we all enjoyed our dishes. I'd like to thank Vinson and his partner and staff for having such a nice place with excellent food!!! See ya soon!!!
Our first time there.. we'll go back! Food was good, not great! Veal Parmesan was tasty, pasta had too much sauce for my liking.
My husband enjoyed a seafood dish with risotto.. abundance of seafood, light on risotto. Very casual. Restaurant could use a little updating.
Family owned, friendly BYOB with fair prices and good service. We had a filling Italian dinner for three for $75 plus tip. Egg plant parm was was very good. It was cut thin and dried nicely so the taste was all there with a nice cripy covering. The pizziola was just spicey enough without giving you morning regret. The pasta (cavetini, penne and gnochi) were all first rate. The parking near the restaurant is difficult in summer, but they have replaced the meters with card machines so you do not have to keep feeding the meter. The atmosphere is energetic and moderately noisey.
Had a nice meal there. While I rated the service as very good, our server was juggling two tables of 8 "very happy" (maybe too happy!) birthday tables. They were demanding and took up a lot of her time.
I had the seafood risotto that was pretty good. Everything was hot. Started with the muscles in red sauce that were good.
Can't complain, good BYOB value.
Basilico's never disappoints! There were three of us - pasta and meatballs, chicken bruschetta, and chicken marsala. All the entrees were delicious and the portions were large enough that we all took home our leftovers for another dinner. Our waitress, Lucy, is absolutely wonderful!!
Basilicos never lets us down. I check in each time I go using Swarm and I saw at my last visit that my wife and I have been there 41 times... and we will continue to go as often as we're able. I love the food - always fresh, authentic Italian with a great selection and amazing specials rotated in on a regular basis. I'm on a low-carb, low-gluten diet and I love the fact that they've got some amazing options that work for me. The other thing I must mention is the attention to detail - the owners obviously care deeply about service and this comes through with the wait staff. They're always super friendly, and attentive... can't say enough good things about Basilicos - a real gem in Sea Isle City.
