Pasta E Fagioli
beans and pasta soup
wrapped with bacon with Brandy mustard sauce
with sea scallops shrimp, calamari, mussels and clams
This is a classic Italian restaurant with those older experienced waiters who do everything right, even twice lol. The food is excellent but the place could need an update in decor, thus the four stars not the five star rating
Basilico's food is always delicious. The specials really are specials. My husband thinks that the Blue Point Oysters at Basilico are the best he's ever eaten.
Desserts are wonderful and unique. The pastry chef is a master.
I found this gem last year and returned to enjoy a special occasion with people. Little things made it an unappealing experience. The attention to detail, courteousness, and appreciation for being a customer that made this such a great find last year were missing. it was almost like they were doing us a favor seating and serving us. Elements of the food were excellent, other fell short ( Pasta and freezer burned Ice Cream). What a shame!
Love everything about Basilico.
Great food and beautiful outdoor seatings. Service was also great
Love this place!
Great food, lots of specials and lovely outdoor space.
We celebrated our 46th Wedding Anniversary. We dined on scrumptious food, we were not rushed. Our server was impeccable. We had an amazing evening
Basilico's is one of our favorite place to dine for many years, and for good reason!!
Great lunch with friends.
The clam appetizer was excellent. Could have put the clams over pasta as an entree. Shrimp scampi entree was very good. The shrimp and lobster entree was good, but a little scarce on the lobster. Dessert of chocolate souffle a bit dry.
So I decided to try Basilico with my Hubby for his bday. Hubby loves Italian food and he cooks delicious so I was a bit nervous to go here at first. I made reservations for 7pm and we got there 30 minutes before, they were able to do a early check-in. It was a bit loud but didn't matter. The food was good but the service was great ! They were very attentive and very nice. The people that sat next to us were so nice they even suggest a couple of things from the menu. We have a couple to the right, who been coming to the restaurant for over 20 yrs and the couple to the left said they been coming over 10 years. That says a lot about the restaurant. We did not bring our own wine, we end up buying a bottle there. I am very pleased with the food, service and atmosphere. I will definitely go back.
Great food, great service and we love coming here. Deserts are awesome too! Recommend this restaurant to anyone!
My friends had never been to Basilico before and they all really liked it. I'm sure we will make it a favorite spot for lunch.
We were seated promptly despite making a last minute change in our seating preference. Wait staff were attentive and prompt. Our food was served quickly, plated tastefully and delicious. We opted for desserts which were also beautifully served. Despite a 545 pm week day reservation, the restaurant was buzzing. My dining partner was impressed and very happy I chose Basilico. It is expensive even for pasta dishes. Great experience and would return.
I thought the food was ok but not as good as in the past
Very nice Italian food with an airy atmosphere and good service.
The food was delicious, my appetizer, stuffed zucchini flowers was so good.
Great options for all 4 members of our party with varied dietary needs. All were delicious.
The food is al eats consistently wonderful and the servers are the best ever! Love Love love this restaurant.
I searched for a restaurant that was renowned for being a top-rated establishment, with a romantic setting. I was celebrating 25 years of marriage with my wife, so it needed to be special.
Basilico was a popular recommendation, almost can’t miss, so that was our choice. Nice atmosphere, with open windows and plenty of space; very Covid-friendly. Our waiter looked a bit out of place and was very unfamiliar with the menu. We found out later this was his first day. However, I made it very simple for him since my wife and I wanted the same thing. We ordered the scallops. When our food arrived, our plates did indeed have scallops, but also shrimp, which I am allergic to. As such, we informed the waiter, and he acknowledged it was his error. Apparently, there was another item on the menu which featured both scallops and shrimp, which confused the waiter, causing him to enter the wrong item on the ordering screen. Mistakes happen, we were frustrated, but waited patiently for them to correct their mistake, and provide us with what we ordered.
After another 20 minutes or so, the food arrives. Mine was correct, but my wife received the same incorrect meal as before. They asked for a third opportunity to correct their mistake, but it was our anniversary, and we couldn’t wait another 20-30 minutes for them to fix yet another error. It was unfortunate, since my scallop dish was amazing, but my wife “settled” for the scallop/shrimp dish that she didn’t order, although she left half of it and ended up sharing some of mine. The damage was done. We had no choice but consider the night out disappointing.
To cap it off, the establishment, although mildly sympathetic, did not make it right by deducting anything from the bill. We were charged full price, which really upped the disappointment. Yes, we were actually charged for a meal they got wrong!
A 25th anniversary comes along once, and I am very disappointed with how we were treated. Will not be returning.
Enjoyed my shrimp scampi over linguine and i ask to add lobster and they even seasoned the lobster with scampi. Most places just put a lobster tail on top. They are very accommodating. The Napoleon for dessert was delicious and truly a work of art, creativity, and pure Delicious!!! My wife had mushroom ravioli and if you like mushrooms this is the dish for you. (Needless to say i ate some of hers also). Oh well that's what you get when you marry a foodie :-)
Basilico never disappoints and we really like the outdoor seating options.
First time out in many months, great experience, great food an excellent service. I will be back.
Excellent food !!!! pasta with shrimp and lobster was perfect
Great food and fabulous desserts. One of our favorite places.
Open table showed 2 available times 5:45 7:45 arrived on time and it was empty, we were the only customers, fine, but would have preferred 6:30-
Food was quality as expected, priced fair, actually getting our entrees took forever, 3 tables showed up after us and we all looked at each other wondering what was happening.
Bill was fine, except for a credit card surcharge, think it was 3.5% not a lot of money, but a questionable practice.
Went there for a birthday dinner. The service and food were outstanding! A BYOB that also has its own wine list. I recommend the restaurant highly!
Had a lovely date, food was quick and great. Waiter was friendly. Even the pre meal bread was good. 5/5 would recommend to a friend.
Bread wasn’t warm, poor service, waiter didn’t check on us or clean the table after diner. We didn’t get our soft drinks until after we were finished eating. The waiter didn’t charge us for the drinks to make up for it. Honestly we didn’t feel appreciated or welcomed. I definitely know the difference. It’s just not a place for us to frequent.
Food and service is always wonderful at Basilico. We both had The fusili special with lobster shrimp and scallop, it was delicious. The St Joseph pastry was a special and also very delicious.
We felt comfortable dining inside since we’ve been vaccinated and with tables spaced apart
Amazing food! The cream soup was delicious, we ordered two of the daily specials - risotto with lobster, shrimp and scallops, and Chilean bass. Outstanding.
This was my second time here - I went about a year ago and couldn’t stop raving about the Chicken Basilico and we finally made it back! The meal, service and ambiance did not disappoint. We had calamari as an appetizer, husband got the frutti de mare and chocolate lava cake with a birthday candle once the waiter heard it was my birthday :) can’t wait to come back soon!
Basilico never disappoint. Covid friendly and food is delicious.
Excellent food and service! I will definitely come back!
Valentine’s Day, nice and romantic
The best soufflés
Food beautifully prepared and displayed. Delicious and unique recipes. Service immaculate and very accommodating.
We moved to the area and were excited to try a new place. The service was great as we were literally the only ones there while dining. The food just seemed off for some reason. The octopus was pretty chewy and under seasoned. My husband’s main dish he didn’t eat any of the scallops as they had a fishy taste. My chicken seemed like it was beaten and way over cooked. Overall we were both just generally underwhelmed with the food which was disappointing as there were such great reviews. I will say the side of gnocchi was good as was the wine we got.
