About Bascom's Chop House
When the original Bascom came to Florida at the turn of the last century to help Henry Flagler build the Key West Railroad, he brought with him his love for thick cut chops and juicy steaks. During his travels he also discovered the bounties of fresh native Florida seafood.
We have brought all of his favorites together in a true American Chop House that pays tribute to Bascom's hearty appetite and a passion for great steaks, chops and fresh seafood.
In his honor, we have made Bascom's Chop House a comfortable, yet elegant, American restaurant. We are proud to offer a superbly crafted wine list and American Mid-Western beef, aged to our own exacting specifications to ensure the most tender and flavorful steaks served anywhere at any price. And, true to our Bascom's Chop House name, we also offer hand-cut veal, pork and lamb chops all prepared to perfection, as well as a great selection of native seafood delivered fresh daily.

Bascom's Chop House Ratings and Reviews
My husband had some corporate lunch meetings at Bascom’s years ago but I’d never been.
From the moment we arrived we were treated warmly and our server was not only friendly but gave great advice on wine and menu selections. The escargot and the onion soup were two of the best we’ve ever had. The chefs also prepare the baked potato w a special recipe & they were fantastic! Great steaks & great service. Highly recommended and we will be back!
I have never been disappointed in either the food and service, both are excellent. This Dinner get together was to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The birthday girl even received a free dessert. We always enjoy reviewing the Ereader to see what wines are available. All wines listed at $40 or more are 25% off on the weekends so it is even more enticing to order a bottle of wine.
I surely recommend Bascoms for a delicious dinner.
Bascom's reminds me of the established steak houses we had up north, in Illinois. Excellent service. Excellent food. Not the trendy steak places you normally find in this area. I moved here 9 years ago and it's the first of this kind that I've found. I went to dinner with my daughter and we both loved it. I am pescatarian and there were plenty of fantastic options for me. I even tried the carpaccio and it was outstanding. My daughter had steak and loved it! The waiter gave us a lot of personal attention. He was attentive, but not obtrusive. The wine list was amazing. They also have a very nice selection of hot and cold teas for us teetotalers! We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will be back. The prices were as I would expect for the establishment. My only complaint would be that we were seated under a cold air vent and it was cold and uncomfortable. I'll make sure they don't seat us in that area in the future.
I can't say enough about the food! The beef was melt in your mouth tender and flavorful! Plenty of menu selections. The staff are people you would want to make friends with! Attentive and knowledgeable. Kudos to Head Chef Tony Banano. Complimentary decadent dessert for our anniversary on the house!
The prime rib was the most tender I've ever eaten, albeit a tad salty with the a jus. The food is rich and fresh and generous portions. Bread is very hard. The senior citizens in our party had trouble eating it. The ambience and service were nice. Dated decor, but fine. Recommend.
The food and service were great. We had the weekend special which makes the tab very reasonable for the quality. Only complaint was the noise level, which is highly dependent on the other patrons... The dining room is divided in small size sections so if they put even only 1 noisy table in your section it gets hard to talk at normal level. I understand that there is not much they can do about this ; it was just perfect before that one table arrived. We still enjoyed our experience and will definitely return for more, the menu is full of good suggestions and the Prime rib was just awesome.
Excellent selections of steaks, well prepared and presented. Thoroughly enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere, even if a little noisy at times. Appears to be a very popular place to dine, so reservations would be recommended. Would definately return to try some of the other great menu selections.
Celebration for two birthdays. Went there for our anniversary in June and was very impressed. We knew our friends would love this place so I made reservations. They said it was one of their favorite restaurants among the many where they have dined. They are recommending to their friends. Service and good was excellent.
We ordered the special - petite filet mignon with loaded baked potato and salad for $27.95. The food was delicious. This is a good deal because the potato and salad would have been ala carte at $5.95 each, which would have made the meal expensive. The waiter, George, was very attentive and efficient. It was a good experience. We will return.
This was our first time to visit Bascom's Chop House, we have been wanting to for some time, but things just never seemed to work out. We were celebrating our 29th Anniversary & everything from the service to the was excellent. We definitely will be back. Thank you.
Greeted very neat the door. Shown to our table. Escort may have shown a bit more in restaurant savey by holding out my dates chair and/or placing the napkins over the lap.
Liked the iPad wine list.
Waiter was Brad. Very professional and allowed us to take our time and enjoy the meal. We were there 2.5 hours and he never once seemed to rush us.
Food was great. Dessert and coffee great. Left with a feeling that I got what I expected for a price I expected
