Bartolotta's Lake Park Bistro
To celebrate the reopening, Chef Paul Bartolotta and Executive Chef Adam Siegel have crafted a four-course menu allowing diners to select their personalized culinary journey – appetizer, middle course, fish or meat entrée, and dessert – priced at $65 per person.
Lake Park Bistro is honoring history’s French chefs and cuisine while elevating the approach to ‘Haute Bistro’ cooking, bringing both classic recipes as well as signature dishes. The Bartolotta Restaurants team is excited to take guests on a culinary journey to France.
Tournedo de Filet Mignon, Sauce Perigourdine
Pan-seared beef tenderloin medallion, potato mousseline, French Périgord black truffle-Madeira sauce. ($5 supplemental)
Filet de Sole à la Pyramide - Fernand Point
Dover Sole fillets "au gratin" in a creamy white wine-mushroom sauce. A classic dish of Chef Fernand Point from Restaurant La Pyramide in Vienne, France. Chef Point was an iconic chef and a huge personality who believed cuisine should be ever-evolving. He was a mentor of Paul Bocuse and many of the great chefs of France. ($5 supplemental)
Mousse au Chocolat "Yves Camdeborde"
Valrhona chocolate mousse with a prailine crust, milk-mint sorbet, vanilla crème anglaise, orange tuile. Hommage to our friend, Chef Yves Camdeborde who cooked with us at Bartolotta's Lake Park Bistro in 2002 and 2006 then welcomed Chef Adam Siegel to stage at La Régalad in Paris in 2003 and 2007
Currently due to covid they are only offering a four course meal from a select menu. The options were all delicious but sometime you just want an “ OEUF MOLLET AVEC CHAMPIGNONS DES BOIS” and some wine. Still a very good time! Portions were manageable and left me wanting more.
We were celebrating a 20th birthday. We weren’t aware of the tasting menu until 3 hrs prior to our reservation. It was a happy accident, had we known we may have tried to find another restaurant. It was too late & we were happy it was. The experience was amazing for our girls, they tried food, they haven’t before. We loved everything!! The only disappointment was no candle or special something for the birthday girl. The menu was amazing!
Very efficient re COVID precautions. Truly a shame that the City of Milwaukee has not reevaluated the 25 % occupancy. This is our go to Bartolatta place. It was nice to be bac
It is not what it once was, but they are making a good faith effort to come back. The regulatory compliance is too strict and at times insulting to customers and even downright ridiculous. The ritual of having to wear a mask every time waitstaff are present is not required by the regulations and eventually makes one feel like a leper of some sort - not the atmosphere one wishes for in a high-end restaurant. We were told that there was a strict time limit of ninety minutes at our table because someone had reserved our table at that time. This was not true. Our last course was not even served until after ninety minutes and there was no-one waiting for our table. At least we weren’t shooed out. The food was excellent, better than before the pandemic, but the wine by the glass was incredibly overpriced, resulting in the largest per person bill I’ve ever paid at this restaurant. I felt they were trying to rip us off on the wine. They also added a “health” charge, which added to the overall feeling of being ripped off. All in all, rather disappointing; but at least they are trying and we hope they will return to a greater state of normalcy and price reasonableness soon, at which point we will give them another try.
Covid plan was followed. Other patrons followed as well without having to be asked. Just a fabulous experience overall!!! Cannot wait to go back. Thank you for making us feel comfortable.
Food is Amazing. Loved the 4 course meal. I will go again.
The food and drinks were delicious. Service was outstanding. They had great COVID precautions in place, I felt very safe dining in because of this.
Great evening. Matt and team made our anniversary special!
Food was good as always, but limited prix fix was same as in Dec
Service is usually excellent but sketchy this time
Wish they would bring back the croissants 🙂
Dinners here are always outstanding with excellent service and great food.
The 4 course dinners that they currently offer provide excellent choices.
Lake Park Bistro is still our favorite restaurant in Milwaukee after over 20 years.
This was the best way to celebrate Valentines. This was our time and wont be the last the food was amazing and packed with so much flavor,
Well out together system during COVID-19. Food was delicious as always. Really enjoyed the music chosen for the evening. Very French experience.
4 course Valentine's menu was excellent - salmon and lobster dishes were amazing,
ravioli was also very good. Salad was from the usual dinner menu and is always good.
Deserts likewise excellent.
Very conscious of operating in the pandemic - felt very comfortable, servers always masked, tables well spaced.
So glad to see the LPB back open with the best food in
A wonderful dining experience, as usual! Was a bit loud for 25% capacity.
They, along with all other restaurants, are overly burdened by the Governor’s lousy mandates! Bring them back to full capacity now!
Everything was fantastic as usual!
Enjoyed the experience. Staff was attentive to every aspect. Will be back, again!
From the moment we walked in until the moment we left service was impeccable. I missed Lake Park Bistro so much during Covid and it was like a balm of comfort to be back here. The food is simply outstanding and we loved the new fixed price menu - so many options. After months of mediocre take-out from other restaurants this was a treat.
Didn’t like the time restriction of 1.5 hours or that we had to put on a mask every time the server approached the table. The meal was excellent.
Very elegant dining. The food was outstanding and I would love to go back. They are currently restricted by the COVID regulations which is disappointing but obviously not their fault. Although I could see it being much more enjoyable in a regular setting.
Service and food were outstanding. Looking forward to going back.
Perhaps you have visited Lake Park Bistro in the past or pre-COVID-19. Well, you MUST return. The tasting menu offered was fantastic and reminded me of how incredibly talented the Bartolotta Family and their team are in serving exquisite French cuisine. The flavors and portion sizes were perfect, the service was impeccable, and by the way, you won't find a restauranteur in the MKE area who takes your personal safety as seriously as this one. Whether your first time or you haven't been in a while, please RETURN to Lake Park Bistro, let's fill up every available reservation to show our gratitude and support for their amazing culinary skills!
Our servers Matt and Marriana were so great! The food was incredible. I felt totally safe!
We were elated when one of our favorite restaurants reopened with COVID-19 safeguards in place. While a limited menu, the choices are outstanding, the food delicious, service attentive, and a truly spectacular dining experience. Appreciate the covid safeguards, with reduced seating, social distancing, and required face masks. We have only dined at a restaurant twice since the pandemic began, but with these precautions, we will be dining at Lake Park Bistro again in the near future!
no real menu due to covid, they have there own covid rules, waitress bring water-put on mask, waitress brings menu-put on mask, waitress ask if you want drinks' put on mask
did not get food, paid for drinks and left
do not understand why they are open at all
going back to Le Reve in Wauwatosa for a real bistro experience
It's a beautiful space with good, imaginative food but their Covid protocols were over-the-top, requiring everyone at the table to mask up when a server came to serve or clear. Sitting in this lovely space with a beautiful meal in front of me, the ambience was destroyed by looking around at other diners with masks dangling from their ears or dribbling their soup into the mask underneath their chin. Now I get that this is a serious disease and don't mean to minimize things but no other restaurant I have ben in has required such restrictive behavior and I'm skeptical that dining at the Lake Park Bistro is any safer than sitting in a nice restaurant with tables appropriately spaced but allowing diners to dismask and focus on enjoying a nice dining experience.
Excellence personified. I appreciate the positive energy and kindness of the staff. They were attentive and engaging. The food was excellent and the presentation exceptional. We will be back soon. I’ve got a few important work meetings coming up, and this experience shows the best of Milwaukee.
Lake Park Bistro has always given us a great experience every time we have eaten there, no matter what we are celebrating.
One of the best meals we have ever had and we love fine dining. The service was amazing and the food was fresh and delicious! We are still talking about our meal 2 days later. We will definitely be back again!
Food is fresh and delicious! The food combinations/pairings are perfect and the service is excellent. Lovely atmosphere!
I have been to Lake Park Bistro many times. It has always been my favorite place to dine with their quality, innovative recipes, presentation, and fantastic waiters. But on January 23, 2021, I could not believe how low this restaurant has gone. The soup tasted burnt and old, the food tasted plain, and the waiters lacked training in basic table etiquette. I understand that these are challenging times but Ive gone to other places like Carnevor and Coco the last few weeks and the dining experiences were outstanding. I will take a break from Bartollatta’s restaurant until they can get their act together.
Lake Park Bistro was delicious, as always, and service was excellent. Also very thankful for their Covid safety precautions. Felt very safe the entire time and thought the monogrammed masks for their employees was a great idea.
We went for a special anniversary dinner and it was outstanding food and great service. Of course the COVID masking is a bit of a pain but the crew made the best of it and took good care of us.
The courses were truly delicious and unique. Venison was melt in your mouth and beef cheek was super flavorful.
Only suggestion would be more gluten-free options for appetizers and desserts.
Thanks for a special memory!
Lovely atmosphere, fantastic service and exceptional food as always!
The food was amazing but just annoying to have to put my mask on and off and have to stop eating whenever the waitress came around. Would definitely go back once masks are not needed.
Due to these uncertain times, we rarely go out for dates/dinner. However, we feel completely safe at any Bartolotta restaurant for the measures they take while not compromising on the experience Bartolottas is known for. This was our first time to Lake Park Bistro and we were completing blown away. Everything was delicious!! We are DEFINITELY coming back again, especially when the weather is nicer and we can sit on their patio.
Outstanding as usual.. service, food and atmosphere. Never disappoints.
At at Bartolotta's Baccus a couple months ago, now Bartolotta's Lake Park ~ Both were fabulous in all categories.
It's always consistently wonderful at Lake Park Bistro. It's my favorite special occasion restaurant.
As always, our experience was top notch. Great service, superb food, and great atmosphere. We will be back soon!
