Lake Park Bistro is honoring history’s French chefs and cuisine while elevating the approach to ‘Haute Bistro’ cooking, bringing both classic recipes as well as signature dishes. The Bartolotta Restaurants team is excited to take guests on a culinary journey to France.

Service and Food were excellent
Pricey but was honestly worth it
Very nice wait staff I like the new menu the wine was great the view was fine first time dining in 16 months because of Covid what could be better
Dining experience was better than ever. Food was excellent and service outstanding. Worth every penny.
Excellent as always and the new set-up is wonderful.
So good to get out again. Foggy and rainy but lovely and delicious.
Everything was wonderful! We enjoyed our experience.
Very well done and looks forward to going back!
A comfortable environment adapted well to pandemic precautions, while maintaining an exceptional level of service. A thoroughly pleasurable experience.
This was our first time dining at Lake Park Bistro and we will definitely will be going back! Everything was spot on.
Exceptional cuisine (every time we have dinner at Lake Park Bistro, the food and service seem "exceptional." Exceptional must be the norm here.) Our waiter tonight, Kayle, was - well - exceptionally friendly, and, shall I say, enthusiastically good humored. We thought he was new on the staff, as he greeted us, but he said he'd been a bar tender there for 5 years. A big thank you to him.
Foodwise now: a special A++ for the veal tartare with a quail egg in the center. Foie gras also was out of this world, fresh, like we only get in France around Christmas.
My wife and I have always enjoyed Lake Park Bistro for special occasions over the past couple of decades; but I think they're even reaching new heights since their recent reopening after the Covid lockdown.
As for safety, masks and everything are strictly observed (contactless restrooms &c.), but Bartolotta has even acquired a big UV-C light sanitizer which the Restaurant use every day.
Heartfelt Thank you to all of you: Chef, Cooks, waiters and waitresses, and Managers.
We really prefer the fixed price, fixed course format the Bartolotta restaurants have gone to. Plenty of choices, food is superb as usual, and portions are perfect. Service is consistently spot on. Love this spot especially for the views. Excellent wine and cocktails.
i love this restaurant so much and I can't even count how many times we have been here. it starts the minute you walk in with a lovely ambience and sense of calm and happiness. The staff is always spectacular, the food sublime and the whole feel is one of happiness and joy. I know it sounds as if I'm overstating but Bartolotta's is such a treasure
Perfect ambience with the new design of the restaurant. Food, wine and service is excellent! Wonderful experience and look forward to continued visits!
Admittedly expensive for Milwaukee, but it was an excellent 4 course gourmet dinner with each course arriving in a very timely manner. Portions were just right for both of us, but we are light eaters compared to most. The flavors of each course were unique and excellent.
Lake Park Bistro never disappoints! What a lovely meal and a special birthday dinner. The food and wine were both absolutely delicious. Thank you for a memorable evening.
It is a wonderful experience dining at Lake Park Bistro. The food is always outstanding. (Best mussels ever).
Every person on the staff are friendly, helpful, and never rushing you.
The service was excellent. We loved how far far our table from other guess. The food was amazing.
The food was great even at smaller portions, but the admonition upon entering that we shouldn't linger past our 90 minute allotted time, even though we had no intention of doing any such thing seemed condescending.
Even though the fixed price 4 course meal selection was nice, the $12 to $35 per glass of wine was ridiculous. We understand that restaurants have been hurting but cutting down on food choices and jacking up drink prices are a way for them to recover but it hurts that we couldn't even buy a bottle of wine and ended up spending $24 to $30 each for only two small glasses with our meal.
Can't wait for Lake Park Bistro to be what it used to be.
My first time at a French-inspired restaurant. Service, food and environment all excellent. Pricy but expected. Will eat here again and have already recommended to two separate friends.
If you desire world-class cuisine, intelligent food and beverage-knowledgeable wait staff, all within an atmosphere that evokes France in Milwaukee, welcome to this wonderful restaurant. The dining care and cuisine is excellent, and I cannot wait for the next opportunity to share a meal here again with friends and/or business associates.
I've always been a big fan of this restaurant and waited a full year to go for my birthday celebration (which was delayed in March 2020 by covid...) Unfortunately this past Saturday night we returned to a very different Lake Park Bistro. The menu is now prix fixe and extremely beef heavy. The prix fixe forces you to order dessert as part of the meal. The sole intermezzo dish was an inadequate substitute for the famous and beloved dover sole, and unfortunately this version was creamy and fishy and really not well presented on a white plate. There was no acknowledgment of this being a special occasion for me despite our mentioning it in the reservation and when we arrived and they failed to apply my $20 birthday rewards credit which should have been added automatically when we provided our rewards number. Unfortunately, won't be returning to Lake Park until their regular menu returns. They are pretty much filling every table so there's no excuse for a lesser experience. I hate to give a sub-standard review but this was truly what we experienced on Saturday night.
First time in over a year due to covid restrictions. A little concerned after we found they only offer a pre fixe menu. Still plenty of choices however. Selected items we wouldn’t normally have chosen and all were outstanding!
Our only objection was the $4 per person covid sanitary charge added to the bill. They give patrons the option of asking to have removed but when customers are paying well over $100 per person for dinner and a drink and wine, it would look cheap to refuse to pay it. It seems unnecessary.
Excellent food, excellent service, reasonable COVID-19 protocols. While I miss the full menu, the Prix Fixe is a nice opportunity to try new things (all of which were delicious!)
Have been there many times. This time I was very disappointed. Paid extra for lobster and it was chewy. Had Dover sole at least that is what they said it was. I felt it was as if it had been put under a broiler. Waitress seems disinterested and never asked us about our meal. Also asked to not stay too long because of limited number of tables. We left at 8:30 and there were 4 empty tables the whole time. We will wait until the full menu is again available to go again BTW: they k debit was 2 birthdays and did nothing.
We were welcomed by a friendly staff with smiles behind their Covid masks. The set menu offered 5 choices in 4 categories to give us delicious morsels of food artistically presented.
Sitting at the window at dusk with Lake Michigan in view added to our enjoyment. We are very pleased and are looking forward to returning to Bartolotta’s Lake Park Bistro.
Very relaxing and fantastic food. Felt very safe.
Food and service are amazing! We can’t say enough about Bartolotta’s
We had made reservations to celebrate our son’s birthday, but our experience wasn’t what we’ve had in prior visits. Our servers were polite, but food service felt a bit rushed, and since we were one of the last tables there, I wonder if that impacted it. Our first courses were terrific, and 2 of our 3 entrees were very nice. None of the dishes were piping hot, though, and the scallop dish was at best room temperature. We told our server who promised to tell the chef. Desserts were unremarkable, the lemon tart was the best of the three. There was no acknowledgement of the birthday we were celebrating, which was a bit of a disappointment. Overall, an expensive and pretty unremarkable dining experience, certainly not the norm for Bartolotta.
The food was excellent but rushed - we barely had time to breath between courses and at least twice the servers were bringing out the next course while we were still eating.
Food and service were excellent. Took the server's wine recommendation which was very good. So why the 4 stars? I don't like prix fixe menus and when I made the reservation, I had no idea that was what was now exclusively being offered. I prefer the usual a la carte menu and I especially missed the french onion soup. So, I will wait until the a la carte menu starts again before coming back.
Amazing food and service- would recommend!
Matt and Jessica were outstanding servers, competent, considerate, courteous, going far beyond what one would expect. We felt welcome, protected, and the food was (again!) superb.
Outstanding food and service. Excellent COVID protocols. If you're an anti-masker, 1) Stay home; or 2) Wear an at least two foot high dunce cap so wait staff knows to ignore you and other patrons know to give your table a wide berth.
Delicious food, prompt and attentive service and good controls in place for COVID. We will be back!
Absolutely perfect! All five courses were meticulously prepared and delicious! Service was excellent. Highly recommend for a special night out.
Overall food was very good. Service was a bit rushed due to the 90 minute reservation maximum. At times, we were still finishing the previous course when the next one appeared at the table. For this caliber of dining, I would expect to not have multiple plates in front of any of my guests at the same time. Aside from this, our experience was very good.
Food was incredible per usual. I went here for my birthday which was acknowledged by the host by not our waitress...a birthday candle would have been nice at least. We were also not offered coffee or an after dinner drink.
They are doing a wonderful job with the covid precautions. Food was delicious and beautifully presented.
