Very friendly service. It was our anniversary and they were nice to seat us at a window seat with the lake view. Plus there was a Happy Anniversary note at our table when we arrived- sweet!! We both had the excellent salmon- it was yummy. Hate to say, though, that the broccolini under the salmon was “woody” & hard to chew. But all in all we had a lovely evening!

Very disappointing . We got the tasting menu. My first 2 courses were so salty! And I love salt! We ordered a bottle of wine and they didn't have the wine we ordered and didn't disclose it! My husband caught it. Food was over priced but the service iwas excellent! We came to Milwaukee for this restaurant...our neighborhood restaurants in Chicago are much better..

Lake Park Bistro is my "go to restaurant" for entertaining my closest friends when visiting Milwaukee. The food and service are always excellent. The menu items are always creative and delicious. The views of Lake Michigan are wonderful, as is the elegant casual atmosphere of the porch. I hope that they open again for lunch soon.

The food as always was incredible, though both felt 'hung over' the next day after eating - likely the amount of butter and salt in the dishes. (We did not drink any alcohol/wine with dinner). I'm also certain the food is genetically modified and we are not used to this. There is a change for sure in the food quality (raw materials), not the cooking. The chef did an incredible job as always. We'll be back for our next celebration.

Setting and service could not have been better. Noise level made conversation a bit difficult, but not unmanageable. Fantastic location for a romantic dinner. This is not an inexpensive establishment, so set your expectations, but for a special occasion, it's perfect!

The food and service was amazing. We did the heute menu and loved each item. The portions were a little small and we had ordered a pre-appetizer thinking it would be too much but enjoyable. It turns out that was the perfect amount of food. If you're going to get the heute menu, split a cheese platter or get a cup of soup to start.

Everything was excellent. The food, the pace of service, the waiters. Even the prices were more reasonable than I expected. Both my wife and I were extremely pleased with everything.

Wayyyy too noisy in there. By the time most people left and the noise was down to a considerable level, and I could finally talk with my partner; we had to leave. I know tables are money, but maybe try repositioning the tables or something to get the nose level down.

Outstanding service and food. The French Onion soup was excellent, the Mussels were superb and the Dover Sole was out of this world delicious. Great service and great value for one of the cities premiere restaurants!

Filet was over cooked, server was over-handling wine and drink glasses. Servers are rough and poorly trained. A far cry from the pre-Covid polish. Our server Forgot to mention soup of the evening but pushed French onion soup on a night of outside temps being 100 degrees. Lake park bistro has seen better nights😢

Wonderful Birthday dinner. Melt in your mouth tenderloin, smoked salmon charcuterie so good! Ribeye also very good as was the Corn Soup. Great view, nice drinks and attentive servers made for the perfect evening even though it was over 100 degrees outside. Thank you for another sweet memory!

This is the first time in all of our visits that the service was sub par. Our lead waitress was unfriendly and we barely saw her, when her 2 assistants finally came around, they were much friendlier and attentive. I'm always glad when portions aren't too large. But I think $58 for 4 scallops was out of line when the only other item on the plate was some sautéed kale. The other entree was good, and my salad was great as always, but it wasn't the usual experience we've had there.

Service was excellent. The one unfortunate downfall was I had ordered the medallions medium well and one was overly done and the the other one was rare. So both were completely different. A very expensive dish service wasn’t to happy about about that.

Gift card was inoperative which went a long way to ruining the evening. My wife had the salmon, which she found quite pleasant. I had steak which was seriously undercooked and served with seasoning or sauce. Overall, a pretentious resturant with high prices, the service is quite good but the food, well, not so much.

Way overrated. The onion tart bread was hard as a rock and the onions were 25% not cooked and the rest was not caramelized and overall pretty flavorless. The foie gras in a soup, in a tart, was tasty but the foie gras seemed to be missing. The tornadoes with foie gras would have been great except when you order a steak rare it does not mean "black and blue", for shame. The chocolate mousse was misleading. the ice cream wasn't made with 72% cocoa. The only place that was found in the dish was in some tiny little slivers on the side. I have had better ice cream in loads of mom-and-pop shops in Milwaukee and elsewhere. 2 of the 4 people have never been to a restaurant like this and with its reputation it has so they were fine with what came. Oh, and your bartender had terrible manners on orders, serving, and listening. I had high hopes that I might have actually found a replacement for Ambria or the Empire room from my decades in Chicago, what I found was another restaurant that survives because the remainder of the food choices in Milwaukee is either steak houses, hamburger joints, or nouveau riche stuff that won't last.

Had a fantastic meal. Our main server did a fantastic job telling us about there menu and covering any potential allergy concerns. Only minor complaint was that when another person picked up our check, they did not ask if we’d want to use some of our rewards points towards the bill.

My friend and I really enjoyed lake park bistro! We got the 4 course dining experience and everything was very good. The service was great, probably the best I’ve had. The ambiance was so pretty as well. We were sat by the window and it made it 10x better. You should definitely try!
