Bartolotta's Lake Park Bistro
It was a wonderful, elegant delicious meal. All we expected from Bartolattas and Lake Park! Can't wait to return.
Excellent brunch with our restaurant trained 5yo twins at The Kitchen Table. Chef Brian very nice and kids enjoyed their butter noodles and my eggs Benedict just great
Slow service, overly fancy menu
We were unlucky enough to make a reservation on a night when they had some sort of wine tasting dinner event going on. Half the restaurant was devoted to that. Instead of taking fewer normal reservations, they crammed as many tables as possible into the smaller half of the dinning room.
It was a nightmare. Packed in like sardines, it became extremely loud. People could barely shuffle past tables to get to the restrooms. The wait staff was obviously stressed and operating beyond their capacity. To their credit, they really did try their best. Unfortunately, the restaurant management set them up for failure that night.
My advice to management: if you want to do special event nights, great, but devote the whole restaurant to it. Don’t try to provide regular dinner service simultaneously.
My advice to future diners: make sure you check that there aren’t any special events being hosted. Otherwise you’ll be paying full price for second priority food and second priority service.
We went here for a celebration of sorts and it did not disappoint. Food was outstanding and servers could not have been more attentive yet unobtrusive. Atmosphere was pleasant. And actually I thought that it would be more expensive than it was. It was a wonderful evening.
As always, Lake Park Bistro never fails to deliver in all respects. Their salmon is the best ever. No other restaurant can compete. Thank you for another wonderful experience!
Fabulous food!! Amazing view of Lake Michigan. Perfect service. Can't wait to go again!!
We loved our dinner at Lake Park Bistro as usual. This fine restaurant never disappoints. Service was excellent, food was beautiful.
Service was slow! Had to find waiter to check out!
Amazing food. One if the best meals we have in a long time! Don’t wait for a special occasion this will creat one for years to come
It's always great to come back to the Lake Park Bistro. Excellent service and we really love Brunch there!
Celebrating family time with our daughters and son-in-law
Overpriced given the quality of attention/service. The food was excellent and the ambiance very nice.
I felt the wine list was overprices and offered only french wines
Excellent food and service. Will definitely will be back.
One of the top restaurants in Milwaukee. Period. Off the charts Mussels and Scallops for apps. Their fillet was delicious. Wait Staff focused, friendly and timely. A dining experience should leave you wowed, along with a great memory. LPB did that, w my date and I, in spades.
Chris Wolf made our dining experience wonderful. He is extremely knowledgeable. We were undecided about food and wine choices and he helped guide us to an incredible meal and delicious wine. He made our evening memorable. Will definitely be back!
Highly recommend. Great food service. Excellent wine selection
A beautiful bistro in the classic sense that it feels a little informal and offers old French classics. The service is just right, never over attentive yet always around right when you want. For what they are serving the price is very reasonable. We loved this place.
It was a wonderful fine dining experience and culinary treat!
We went there for our anniversary this past week and service was great HOWEVER our dinner was terrible. My fiance ordered the scallop dinner which he said was good but the dinner only came with 2 scallops. I ordered the steak frites medium rare and the steak was so tough that I could barely eat it. I don't recommend coming here for dinner, maybe a drink and dessert. I don't think you get what you pay for at this restaurant.
Great filet! Nice wine selection. Amazing service!
Food is delicious, ambiance is stunning - the only thing that was lacking was the service. Had to wait long periods of time between check-ins.
As always, the food, service and ambiance were great. Thank you!
Come for brunch at noon on a Sunday, and it will be busy. That meant somewhat slower service for us, but food was fine and I’m sure I’ll be back. It’s such a stunning location.
One suggestion: rest rooms need an update.
Nice enough. Good menu for Sunday brunch. Service was wanting, even thought there was supposedly a tag team for our table of 4. Food was tasty, perhaps a bit over-salty. Venue is lovely. I'll come back.
Very delicious food and presentation. Service staff is attentive. Was busy so it took awhile to start the ordering process. My husband’s iced tea was not refilled so waitress took price off our bill. Atmosphere is romantic and charming. Table for two over looked like Michigan which was gorgeous even though it was winter. Would love to see all main entrées as an option in the brunch menu as no substitutions are allowed. Flavor and presentation is five star. We never miss an opportunity to dine here when we are in town. The women’s bathroom could use a fresh coat of paint and the temperature could be warmer.
It is simply the best---ambience, food and service are exquisite.
We had the best dinner. It was our 34th anniversary and it couldn’t have been better. We have enjoyed other anniversaries at Lake Park and will do it again or before. Our food was excellent my wife had the salmon that was cooked just right and I had the lamb chops that were out if this world. We finished up our meal with some dessert. Thank you Lake Park Bistro staff.
Always consistently good!
Love it!! My husband grew up in the neighborhood and used to play there when it was an open pavilion. Very fun for him to go back and enjoy an upscale French restaurant.
Food is amazing and this is still one of my favorite restaurants. But when you spend $100 plus per person, you have certain expectations that they don't always meet. We like to get there a little early and enjoy a drink a the bar. Unfortunately, their bar is always jammed packed with everyone eating. Why not have the tables around the bar be for people that want to eat but leave the bar for cocktailing on the weekend. Weekdays, I think it's fine to allow for eating at the bar when it's not that crazy busy. This last time I asked for a coat check as we were walking to our table on a Saturday night. The gentlemen told me we don't have that tonight, there is a coat closet at the entrance you can use if you want...didn't offer to take my coat for me. #FirstWorldProblems I know, but when you are spending that much for a nice restaurant - you expect a little service. That wouldn't have happened at Eddie Martinis. The server service was great and our food as always was amazing! Get the dover sole you won't be disappointed.
Fabulous birthday dinner. Great food. Great service. The perfect place to celebrate!
checked in early for 7:30pm reservation. No one contacted us even after our reservation time passed. additionally, bar was full and it was hard to get a drink. Perhaps have someone take drink orders so patrons don't have to order drinks between diners at the bar. Service and food once seated was very good. Our waiter knew the menu and could provide advice and recommendations. Overall a good meal.
This place is on my top 10 list of restaurants in the US. Seriously. Great view--go when it is light and fabulous atmosphere. Food is always wonderful. If you like French bistros this is as close as it gets in the US.
Had a great meal with a great view and great service
The veal was a bit tough with some tissue, but very tasty. As usual, the service was excellent.
Great place, quiet, good location, and the food was delicious. Highly recommend
Excellent food, fun ambience. Good spot for a special get together. The vegetarian option was absolutely fabulous as were the soups, salmon, calves liver and steak!
Every time I come home to visit my family, this is one of my favorite “ go to” restaurants to visit!
Whether it’s for the great ambiance in the bar, to the super Manhattan with their specialty cherries, or trying a new cocktail that never disappoints! Always a great way to start!
Move into the doing room. Try to get a window table overlooking the lake, then you are ready to place your order with your always attentive waiters. From the super prix fixe with wine pairings ( I substituted the trout which was simply amazing) to the duck dish my sister ordered, absolutely delicious!
Save room for dessert!
I have a history with Lake Park and hadn't been there in quite some time. My husband just got a new job (after being at the same company for 23 years) and I wanted to make it a special night. It was Monday evening 3/4 and my husband and daughter got stuck in traffic because the expressway was closed for an accident. They left our house in Pewaukee at 4:30 PM. I got there at 5:30 for our reservation but they did not arrive until 6. I had a drink at the bar and caught up on work emails on my phone. It wasn't that busy but the bartender was having a hard time catching up and same with the hostess....which was unusual. When we were seated the servers were friendly and knowledgeable, as always but again it wasn't busy and it took a long time to get our food. We weren't very hungry but we all ordered the french onion soup (our favorite) to start and then order mussels, pate and tartar, plus additional glasses of wine. Which worked out perfect because we were still stuffed when leaving. My husband had an early flight out in the AM so he left when we were done eating and since we drove separate my daughter and I paid the bill. Usually the staff is on top of at least mentioning or congratulating the occasion but nothing was mentioned. My husband had no clue I had tried to make it a little extra special for him which was disappointing. :(
