Didier and staff go out of their way to make the guest special. Kudos again for a great evening.
As always, the food, wine, service and atmosphere were top notch!
Fantastic restaurant where we celebrate our anniversary every year!
As always the food was outstanding as was the service. We came for lunch early and were seated at a window table with a spectacular view of the fall planters on the deck and the beautiful lake and blue sky. On the table was a birthday congratulations card for my friend from the restaurant, which was a very nice touch. Included for her was a free birthday dessert. We will definitely dine there again.
Never disappoints. It is the highest quality without being fussy. The food is always impeccable and the service attentive and friendly.
We have been dining here for decades. Brought friends from California who have always wanted to try this restaurant. The service was exceptional, great wine, the duck confit was superb. Great time.
The "porch" on a sunny fall day is a special place to enjoy lunch. Service was excellent. Our server had helpful suggestions for selecting a bottle of wine, and since it had to be chilled, she brought us a complimentary "starter glass" of a similar wine while we waited. The steak tartar was wonderful and the halibut was good, although a just a tad dry. The noise level was "energetic", so we were glad we had a later reservation, as things quieted down as diners cleared out.
Enjoyable meals, but the marinated grilled rib eye steak was chewy, not hot, and bit of a disappointment.
After arriving for our reservation our table was not ready. The hostess gave us an appetizer on the house for having to wait which was not necessary but greatly appreciated. The staff was super apologetic about our short wait and very attentive after we sat down.
A lovely restaurant, particularly so when you can see the lake before nightfall. Tucked into Lake Park, this is a relaxing place for a special occasion. No hassles finding parking. Just pull in and you're there. The main concern with Lake Park Bistro is the noise level. It's very noisy. Three of us had the prix fix dinner, which that evening was a warm fennel and shrimp starter (excellent), a pork loin main course (dry) and a tarte tartan dessert (just ok). It was fairly priced at $50 not including the wine pairings, but lost value due to disappointment of two of the three courses in my opinion. The two others having this selection were not as critical. One guest had salmon and one had trout and these entrees were excellent. One nit pick: the single malt scotchs were served in a standard rocks glass rather than the proper glass for a fine scotch served neat. We asked that they be poured into a snifter, and this was graciously done. A sweet birthday card and complimentary brownie with candles were much appreciated.
Lake Park Bistro is usually one of our favorite places to celebrate special occasions and we have had many wonderful meals that were interesting, outstanding and worth the price. This night our dinners were only fair. We each had the halibut which was dry and overly salty. The 3 tiny potato noisettes were grainy in texture. On the positive side, the French onion soup and butternut squash soup did not disappoint. We appreciated Omar’s attentive service and the complimentary piece of celebratory chocolate birthday cake was a nice touch. We’ll return to Lake Park Bistro for hopefully a better meal in the future. Perhaps it was just an off night.
For some reason, we hadn't been in years -- but, for all the same reasons we had enjoyed Lake Park Bistro in the past, all came streaming back: great vibe, fantastic food, excellent service, a cool setting looking over the lake and giving you the feeling as though you've found the secret place only certain people know about (ha!). Even on a Weds. night, the place was quite lively, but very comfortable and we found it to be all we had remembered.
Another OUTSTANDING dining experience at Bartolotta's Lake Park Bistro. The food, service, atmosphere - all top notch. The variety of menu items, the quality of ingredients, the creativeness by the Chef(s) - all wonderful. The service from our Greg, our Server, is always the Best. Greg is so knowledgeable of the menu, great pacing of entrees. The view of Lake Michigan is just beautiful. We will be back again and again.
Fantastic evening for a birthday. Everyone was helpful and provided insight into food that one might not be immediately damilar with. Will definitely go again!
Brian knocked it out of the park with great personal serviced. He was willing to listen and make sure we were attended to for the whole meal. Always a fun place to go with tasty food. Although it gets real loud, the noise was not too bad as brunch wasn't super busy.
My wife and I went out for a nice dinner and we found a true gem of Milwaukee. It was our first time visiting Lake Park Bistro, and we were very pleased. The drinks were great, the food was delicious from appetizer to dessert, and the service was very good with the exception of one of our servers didn’t seem as warm and welcoming as the other. She was not terrible, just in contrast to our other server, she wasn’t on par with her partner’s level of positive disposition. We would love to come back to enjoy another great night.
It was a great night! Food was delicious and our server Chris was phenomenal! Thank you Lakefront Bistro to make our special day even more special!:)
Always consistently good. Service is friendly and efficient. Great drinks.
Excellent location and ambiance. The drinks were spot on and the service was impeccable!! Highly recommend
Friend visiting from out of state.
The food was very good and the service was exceptional.
Went for our 5th anniversary and they had a nice card on our table thanking us for celebrating with them. Besides that, very good food.
Good atmosphere but food is always overly rich....I'd prefer more flavorful, fresh and slightly lighter vs. saucy and heavy....yes, traditional French food is this way but this can be improved...the only thing I'd eat if I return is a hamburger or a steak which I would not normally order when out but is always a safe order....I've eaten here many times and every time I feel the same...
French perfection from the grounds, the interior, ambiance, service and menu. We enjoyed butternut squash soup soup with toasted pumpkin seeds, a cheese tray with a selection of three cheese, red grapes, thinly sliced green apples and apricot preserves. Three had a lunch size portion of halibut and one had seared scallops.
Excellent service from waitress and food was delicious
Great meal, we really enjoyed the beautiful lake front view.
Great food, great atmosphere and the perfect place to celebrate our anniversary.
Wonderful setting in a country club atmosphere. We were disappointed but he food, it is advertised as fine dinning but the food was average at best.
We celebrated my birthday and it was relaxing and fabulous. The food was wonderful and our servers were superb. I had my heart set on veal and they were out of the cutlet. I noticed that the chef did a special of veal on Tuesday nights. I asked our server if he could possibly do the same the Sunday evening we were there. He said yes and it was the best. I very much appreciated the server and the chef going above and beyond. Will look forward to dining at Lake Park Bistro in the near future.
Lovely restaurant with excellent views, good food and friendly service.
Great view. Good food able to have quiet conversation. Brunch menu adequate. No rush. Waiter was attentive to our order and needs. Would recommend.
We took a friend from out-of-state here for Sunday Brunch. I was a bit disappointed by the arrangement of the tables - it seemed cramped - wait staff was constantly trying to maneuver around our table. Also, the only tables with window views of the lake were tables for 2. Perhaps that's not always the case, but that day they were filled with parties of 2 - all bigger parties were seated at tables back from the windows. Also the dining room was very noisy, making it difficult for conversation - too many hard surfaces maybe?
The service was a little slow, but efficient. We ordered the pastry assortment and were served the croissant basket (with one tiny jar of jam) instead. We chalked it up to the busy brunch hour and ate the croissants anyway - they were good, but not warm. The brunch entrees were very good - salmon was cooked to order, eggs benedict was perfect as was the pork dish. Desserts were small, but perfect size for those of us who don't need gigantic portions.
This was our first visit to the Bistro. We were delighted to be seated at the window and there was a hand-written congratulatory note on our table recognizing our Anniversary. The Scallop appetizer was excellent as were our entrees. My wife had the Filet with mashed potato and roasted brussel sprouts. The sauce was heavenly! I ordered the Duck Breast and Leg with Green beans and brussel sprouts...superb! We waited about 5 minutes at the bar and were escorted to our table before the time of our reservation! Sarah, our server, was a delight and we'll ask for her next time! The woman who assisted her (Jennifer?) was also very cordial and had a great sense of humor! Note: the warm French bread brought several times to our table was crusty and delicious...so good, I blew my Keto diet! The Crème Brulee is outstanding (also not Keto-friendly!) We will definitely be back!
Soup, starter and wine were great but the entree and service was very average/disappointing.
Meal was delicious and service was superb. Great place for a special family event, look forward to a return visit
We love Lake Park Bistro. That said, it simply was a disappointment this time. Totally missed the mark.
The halibut was dry and had no flavor. I was given a free dessert, value 9.50 but the halibut cost me 32.00. ?? The shrimp appetizer was amazing. No one came by to ask how my dinner was until they took away the plates. Thetegore thete wss no opportunity to order something else. Not the sort of service or quality I expect from a Bartalotta restaurant
Chose this spot for our 35th wedding anniversary. Had previously heard great reviews and they were not mistaken. Food was superb, service was outstanding and the view was incredible (be sure to ask for a window seat in the lake view room). I would not hesitate to recommend this venue to anyone looking for a romantic dinner getaway!
Excellent and creative menu. Superior wine list. Service is very good. Manager is wonderful. Nice for special occasions as well as a neighborhood gem.
For some reason, this is my daughter's favorite restaurant and it was her birthday, so we went again -- we go every year at her choice. The food is good, but not so outstanding that it is worth the price. We had two servers, yet it took quite a while to get a drink, even though it was early in the evening and the restaurant (and bar!) were no where near busy. Once we got service, the waitress was very friendly, though. My daughter enjoyed her birthday treat, and another dessert, too, which she said was very tasty. I like the view, but not the noise level once people start arriving. Nice enough, but NOT my favorite.
