Bartolotta's Lake Park Bistro
Lake Park Bistro is a very upscale place for Milwaukee, but with the views of Lake Michigan and wonderful seafood, it's worth it for a celebratory night out!
I came to Lake Park for my birthday dinner on 4/20 and the experience wasn’t as great as it has been the past times i have been there to dine. It seemed that Lake Park was severely under staffed because it took a very long time for our waitress to come around to us. Although the service was not the best, the food was very good and always a good atmosphere to experience a birthday dinner with friends and family.
Better than ever! Our place to go when we want the best food and service.
Wonderful in every way.
We loved the view of the moon raising on the lake and soft warm lighting made the evening very romantic
Good- service seemed like it was more of a chore rather than a pleasure to serve us. Noise was loud.
A wonderful special occasion place, every dish and service perfection.
Lovely atmosphere and stunning view. Service was okay but not exceptional, after being seated there was a noticeable delay before we had anyone attend us, bring water etc. The food of course was delightful!
Although the Bistro is a beautiful place and the service was excellent, the quality of the food was disappointing. My wife sent her steak back because it was impossible to cut, and I found that my filet was also not as tender as a prime tenderloin ought to be. We've eaten here often, and this was our most disappointing culinary experience. I suppose there is always an off day in a kitchen, but we paid quite a bit of money to eat inferior food.
Met husband and I both had the Croque Monseur and it was not what it used to be. Way too much ham that was not even that great tasting and way too many of the straw fries which are okay.
Bartolotta's Lake Park Bistro is one of my very favorite restaurants. I have taken friends there frequently. On this visit I took a colleague visiting from out of town and she loved it, too.
Always a treat to come to Lake Park Bistro. Two food items could be improved...Too much cheese on the french onion soup made me feel like I was fighting with it to get some on my spoon, or to try to get to the rest of the soup. The burger was ordered medium well..which I thought would be slightly pink. The burger came and the presentation was odd...a very mishapen patty making it obvious little time was taken with that. The meat was totally overdone and dry...that went back and the regular house salad was the substitute, which was fine, but my meal was not what I had hoped for.
The other two meals....the mussels and the rotiserrie chicken were excellent, as well as the bread!
We always enjoy Lake Park Bistro for Sunday brunch. We did again this time, though it was a bit noisy in the room overlooking the lake, with several large parties that were very loud.
Wonderful evening. Food, drinks, and service were excellent. Will definitely return.
Birthday dinner celebration without the kids!
Wait staff was superb! Food was delicious. Prompt service. One of the best dining experiences around.
We have been coming to Lake Park Bistro for many years and never had a bad experience. This was no exception. It is plain to see why it is one of the premier dining establishments in Wisconsin. It was the perfect way to celebrate our anniversary! Way to go Joe!

Consistently excellent food and service. Wonderful ambience.
It was a fabulous birthday luncheon-delicious food!
Wonderful service provided by Clarissa. We weren't rushed at all and enjoyed a wonderful afternoon.
Thank you so much also for the birthday brownie treat.
Always awesome eating at the Bistro. It is my favorite place!
excellent food and wait staff. What's to be expected from a Bartolotta restaurant.
Enjoyed Sunday brunch, which, like everything else at Lake Park Bistro, was simply wonderful. This is my favorite restaurant in Wisconsin and one of my favorites in the world. They do everything perfectly here.
Did not seem terribly busy but we thought service, especially immediately after we sat down, was very slow. As though we were forgotten. Not sure how one could miss a table of 5 in the middle of the room. Food was OK. Coffee service initially was slow, quite awhile before drink and food orders were taken as well! Love the atmosphere, but overall was disappointed!
I loved every aspect of our meal! The service was amazing and the food was incredible!
Wow, the food we had was outstanding! I had the filet mignon medallions and they were excellent. The potatoes that came with them should be a national secret - so good. My wife had the salmon and it was the best salmon (and preparation) either of us has ever seen. The restaurant was busy (Saturday night) and very loud. Probably not much that can be done about that. I will definitely return.
My friends and I had such a lovely lunch at Lake Park Bistro yesterday. I chose it for our group because the food is always, reliably so good, and it's a nice relaxed atmosphere. Our dining experience exceeded our expectations. Not only was the food delicious and the atmosphere perfect, but we had such a nice waitress. She really went above and beyond and made our dining experience even more delightful. Lake Park Bistro truly is a gem.
I ordered steaks and the sauce was so salty we had to stop eating halway through the meal. Great venue but I have had mu h better steak at half the price.
Very average. Bone in ribeye was tough. Trout was also less than stellar.
Beautiful atmosphere, but very expensive for lunch. I wouldn’t go back. Most places have lower lunch than dinner prices but LPB does not, except for dishes like poulet roti that are smaller at lunch than at dinner.
Wonderful waitstaff, so well trained and personable. Good food, great view. Love coming here for lunch.
We are very fortunate to have such a great restaurant open for lunch.
Great restaurant! Wednesday lunch: Go early for a window seat with terrific views of Lake Michigan and the lakefront. Listen carefully to the specials - this visit was the second time I ordered it; both were exquisite. Of the hor d'oevres, I'm partial to the chicken liver mousse with apricot marmalade and toasted brioche. The liver-apricot marmalade combo taste is out of this world!
Consider also the dessert, MOUSSE AU CHOCOLAT "YVES CAMDEBORDE," further described as: "From our friend Yves in Paris, Valrhona chocolate mousse with a praline crust, hazelnut nougatine tuile, salted caramel ice cream, toasted hazelnuts, and whipped crème fraiche." Make your mouth water? Just wait till you taste it!
A previous lunch on a weekend: The food was also wonderful. But...it was crowded, quite noisy, and with notably slower service. Just the price of being outstanding? Still I prefer the quieter atmosphere of the weekday lunch.
My fiancé and I were celebrating our 1st date anniversary. It was our first time at LFB and we loved it! The ambiance was perfect, very romantic and classy! Even though the restaurant was filled it was not too loud.
Our waitress (Sarah) was knowledgeable, warm and friendly and the food was expectedly amazing.
Our whole meal came to $106 without tip (2 Entrees, 2 glasses of wine and a shared dessert). If you are looking for a high-end food experience with exotic but delicious dishes, fantastic ambiance and great service for a romantic night out - this is it :)
Go for the views and ambiance, the food was just ok with so many other good brunch places in town. The steak on my steak and frites was tough and flavorless.
We had a reservation for 12:30 pm on a Sunday. We were there early but people lingered at their table longer than expected. We were offered table inside but wanted a table with a view of the lake as it was my daughter-in-law's birthday. We were told it would be a 12-20 minute wait for a lake view table. We said were were fine with this and chatted until we were seated about 20 min later. Because I had mentioned it was my daughter-in-law's birthday they presented her with a lovely dessert and a sweet card commemorating her birthday. At the end of the meal, the manager came over and thanked us for waiting so patiently and presented us with a lovely piece of cake which we all shared. We were well treated by all the staff and it was a delightful experience. I will definitely be going here again and again.
Had Great breakfast brunch, very good.
Wonderful first experience at Lake Park Bistro. We intentionally arrived thirty minutes early and were thrilled to find two open seats at the bar to enjoy a cocktail. While very pricey, the drinks were good. Bartenders were busy. Great table for two right on time. Lovely waitress who said she would be teaming with another waitstaff person, but Chelsea ended up doing everything herself. And she was excellent. Our charcuterie plate was delicious, soup and salad very satisfying, but we ended up having to reorder one meal. The Saturday special apparently was no longer available at 7:30, so we were given a chance to substitute another meal at the same price as the special. All in all, our Saturday dining experience has made us decide to return in the near future.
Lake Park Bistro is the unrivaled, consistently stellar special occasion and celebratory spot in Milwaukee. The elegant but lively ambience, tantalizing smells from the kitchen, superb service, and incredibly delicious fare is unforgettable. Bravo!
The food to the service was exquisite and accommodating!
