The worst experience i have ever had from a place. The server was terrible I was in the middle of ordering and he walks away, my husband and I went for Valentine’s Day and it wasn’t even busy. By the time we ordered it took over an hour just to get the appetizer, and I had to ask to see where it was, that was the last time I saw our server. My husband got shrimp cocktail that was warm and they put ketchup instead of cocktail sauce, I ordered stuffed mushrooms that were cold. We left right after that didn’t even want the main course, we got the manager told him we wanted to leave he wasn’t even accommodating he could care less. Stay clear of this restaurant!

Excellent food - been raving about it for a week. Excellent service. The owner(I think), was very hospitable, took the time to talk to us for a bit about Sicily. Chicken saltimbocca was one of the best we’ve ever had.

Outstanding meal, chef accommodated special requests, wait staff attentive, non intrusive. Extensive menu, all dishes beautifully prepared and presented. Each diner raved about the quality and freshness of the varied appetizers, salads and entrees. The quiet, relaxed ambiance in this neighborhood restaurant made for a most enjoyable evening. The desserts (all made on the premises) accompanied by a most personable visit with the owner was the exclamation point of the night! So glad to have discovered this gem of a restaurant, certainly known to the locals. Exceptional food, outstanding personal service - we are sure to Bartolino's again and again!

Last night in NYC ended with a delicious dinner with superb service. It was my first visit, and I highly recommend the fettuccine alfredo and the calamari with red sauce pasta - delightful.

Beware of choosing anything from their list of specials...most of the dishes on their menu range in mid $20. One of our group order a special..the veal chop & it was $50!! Of course they don't tell you the price. The food was tasty, but felt a bit tricked by the price of the special. The service was excellent..there was only two other people in the restaurant, so don't know what it will be like if it is busy

Great little gem hidden away in Astoria. Quality food and service. Prices are what one would expect for the quality of food you are being served in a fine establishment such as this. I recommend the veal Bartolino special, tender and full of flavour. Owner Bartolo is a nice guy and has a good attitude, two qualities lacking in many so called Italian restaurants. My suggestion is get that someone special in your life and have a nice dinner.

They told us the did not accept open table and also said they had no tables available. It was Christmas Eve.

$20 cab ride to find the restaurant closed. The bartender in the bar said the restaurant was closed for the holiday. She was very nice and called her boss to let him know about our situation and all he offered was to apply our cab fare to our next meal at his restaurant. Unfortunately we live 4 hours away. He blamed OpenTable and OpenTable blamed Bartolino's. We're out $40. I also had bought a $25 gift certificate for the other couple we were with, so we're actually out $65.

I'm a regular customer to this restaurant and I enjoyed the food there every time. In fact, I like to order the same seafood combination entree every time when I was there. However, during my latest visit this dish was horrible!!! Totally below the par. I didn't say anything to them and still gave them a big tip as I wanted to be nice. I think it was either because their regular chef was on vacation that day or worst the regular chef has left. I'll give them one more try. If their regular chef has left the restaurant, then I probably won't go back to this place!

Returned back to this Italian restaurant, always like their cooking. The entrees portion size is way too huge! They should drop a few dollars on entrees to offer smaller portion size, so that customers who don't plan to take a to-go bag can have some room in their stomach to have some appetizer and desserts. They over charge on orange juice and soda.

I have been to this neighborhood Italian restaurant many times and keep on coming back. The quality of food is excellent. I love the spicy marinara source with seafood. Also I like they kept music low volume most of the time, which is good for conversation. Towards the end of our dinner, they did increased the music volume. I really hope they read the review to keep the music low volume at all times.

Everyone was most accommodating, and no one was upset that our group included a young child. As a matter of fact, everyone spoke with her and helped take family photographs. The food was exquisite, including desserts! Some of us ordered the daily special, some of us ordered off the regular menu, and all of us were positively thrilled. The restaurant is definitely large enough for any size gathering, including corporate events. I looked out one of the windows and saw that in the summer, there is a lovely patio for outdoor dining. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone.

A great place to take clients or friends. Food was very good with excellent service to match. We were there on business and our customer loved it. If I am ever back in the area, I will be making plans to dine there again.
