I think their paella is the best in the city! Large parking area and reasonably priced drinks during 4-7 PM happy hour.

Food was wonderful. Every bite was packed with flavor. The Paella was sooo delicious. It did not disappoint.
Our server initially was very attentive and then felt like she disappeared. Not sure if she had tables on the other side of the restaurant.

Wonderful atmosphere with a delicious selection of tapas. Our server, Erin, provided us with a few excellent recommendations and made us feel very welcome. We were able to get a couple of plates out at a time, which allowed us to enjoy our wine and conversation without feeling rushed. Great experience -- can't wait to come back!

Made a reservation two weeks prior for 6:30 had to wait 20 mins for a table I didn't request. Given a strange option to take a table sooner and be out of it by 8:30 or wait for my reserved table , I opted to wait but still didn't get the table requested, but time limit lifted. ordered fried mushrooms they were good , grilled octopus was too salty , also the grilled shrimp was heavy on salt. the paella was only OK. Drinks were good wait staff was excellent. the saving grace was the dessert , ordered the chocolate flour less tort excellent and the flan was very good. I would recommend this place for drinks and dessert. Luckily I live in Charleston and it has plenty of excellent restaurants. Off to try the next.

Great food and cocktails - with even better service. Would definitely recommend to others!

My partner and I are trying to find vegetarian options more often and with Barsa selection of vegetables plates we will be back. On a non-vegetarian note, the ribs and octopus are a must try.

Everything was fabulous!! The service was great and the food was fabulous. My mom is from Spain, so the food reminded me of family visits. The tapas size are bigger than I expected. The price was reasonable. The server was great. We got seated near the kitchen and it was so hot—that was the only downfall. I will definitely go many more times! Highly recommend.

The patio is fabulous this time of year. The food and service are always top notch. Recommended for every day dining and special occasions. One of the best restaurants in Charleston.

Lovely meal, as usual! Barsa is one of our go-to places. The beet salad is a favorite and my husband and I share the paella. My salad was forgotten and came last, but I still enjoyed it!

We're at Barsa all the time, but we won't be back for a long time--if ever--after this last experience. Though I'd made the reservation a week in advance, we were shocked to be told when we showed up that we had to vacate the table at a certain time so they could seat other people. Sure enough, we were asked to leave at their prescribed time, even though our table of four had been eating and drinking the entire time. We had also ordered paella, which takes a loooong time to make. If we had been a last-minute accommodation, I would have completely understood. But this was just frustrating and embarrassing. With so many phenomenal options in CHS, it's hard to justify spending time and money at a place where you're put on a timer from the minute you walk in.

Overall, yummy food! It was Happy Hour and we ordered a small seafood paella which took about an hour, since it was so busy. We ordered a barsa mule and a sangria ($3 off cocktails). We started with croquettes, hanger steak and brussel sprouts! The steak and brussel sprouts were amazing! We order 2 more drinks, but it took awhile to get them and by the time we got them they were watered down! We finally got our paella and it was awesome! Just wished we ordered a medium, because I really wanted more. Overall food was amazing, service slow because of happy hour! Love the prices of happy hour, but come early or after happy hout to avoid the crowd and to have a nice experience!!

Food was good. Waiter gave wrong order. Never came by table had to actively chase him to get another drink, order, the bill.

Barsa never disappoints. We had whole trout that was perfectly seasoned and cooked until just done - flaky and wonderful. Barsa's small plates are delicious and affordable enough that you can get many of them to try! We are fans and love this tapas restaurant.

Anniversary dinner was great. Just the two of us picking 4 tapas each. As always, excellent meal and fun place to eat.

Nice place for small plates. Had the Brussel sprouts, calamari and brocollini and pork ribs. All very good. Service was good and prompt. Love their sangria!

Best food I had in Charleston.

I finally tried the seafood paella and was not disappointed! The wine selection is amazing and happy hours prices are a steal. Love the ambiance of Barsa and it never disappoints. 10/10 will be back soon :)

Dinner is fabulous and prices are great and the service was fantastic! Lauren is a amazing bartender and very attentive. The paella is consistently excellent! We will be back again!

We lokev for some small plate lunch option and came to Barsa. Food was unbelievably diverse and tasty. We wished we would come for dinner, had option to eat a bit more. But this gave us a reason to get back to Charleston and at Barsa again. And, did I mention, service is second to none.

Back to Charleston after five years away. My husband and I have our favorite restaurants, but this time I was here with a friend, so no seafood...we had to find alternatives. And what a find! The shrimp! The brusselsprouts were perfectly crisped with the perfect balance of veg and leaves. The patatas bravas are THE best I’ve had and I’ve traveled and had tapas everywhere. They were FRESH...think In n Out fries in Cali...we WILL be back.

Great “tasting” meal with friends! The more, the merrier to sample a variety of tapas.

Our server was outstanding! His recommendations were well- received and delicious. We celebrated a birthday and when we thought we were finished we celebrated some more. I'm not going to specify all the dishes we enjoyed bc one was as yummy as the next and we ordered way too many. Needless to say, we took food home to be enjoyed again the next day.

Great tapas place with a nice courtyard (for when it is less humid) and a surprisingly large dining room. Food was great and service was quick. We enjoyed each of the tapas we ordered, though the paella was nothing to write home about. Definitely a place to which we will return.
