Barrett's Grill Ratings and Reviews
We went to Barrett's on New Year's Eve -- one of the busiest nights of the year for restaurants, and the food and service were perfect, despite an overflowing crowd of diners. This restaurant ALWAYS does a wonderful job. Such a friendly staff. It was our fourth or fifth time there. Barrett's never disappoints us.
We were staying at an inn just down the road and the reviews convinced us to try it. The reviews were spot on. The food was wonderful. We had steak and the calamari appetizer. It was very hard to choose from all the delicious choices. Definitely will go again.
Barrett's is locally owned and operated and having great success. The management and staff are well trained. The staff works together very well helping each other to make sure all details are taken care of. The food is prepared with fresh ingredients and executed at a high level. We tried the restaurant week menu and were very impressed with all the food and wine pairings. The scallops with the wild bacon mushroom risotto was awesome. The filet was cooked to perfections and well seasoned. The fire cracker shrimp was a nice blend of spicy and sweet. We finished off our meal with the chocolate flourless cake. Amazing!!! topped with bourbon anglaise and a raspberry sauce and a scoop of ice cream. Very impressed and will return again
The Lamb chops and the Pork Chop were especially delicious. The Grouper special was a bit bland. The Salmon entrée was good but nothing extraordinary. Michele our server was excellent, though. She accommodated all our requests, which made our dinner enjoyable.
My family had a very nice dinner at Barrett's on Christmas Eve. We started with the calamari app-- crunchy, tender, and flavorful. The three seafood dishes we got-a grouper special , scallops risotto, and sea bass--all were perfectly cooked and delicious. We skipped dessert. Service was good and our waiter seemed knowledgeable about the food and drinks. Good evening.
We love this place. We especially enjoy the delicious grilled salmon, and the entrée salads. Very reasonable prices, attentive, professional service. We try to come on Thursday nights, as they have a great jazz trio playing. This is one of our favorite go-to restaurants.
We have never had a bad meal at Barrett's. This is the perfect place to grab a movie at the Hunt Valley Towne Center and go next door and have some great food and service. If your tired of eating at restaurants that can't even polish their silverware try Barrett's. They deliver fresh consistent food and the service is top notch. Barrett's attention to detail is much appreciated a keeps us coming back. They also have a sister restaurant in Glyndon called the Glyndon Grill. We have been there several times and very happy with our food and service
Our waiter was very attentive without being intrusive. He was patient and pleasant while we waited for several guests.
The corn soup is always a treat. Tuna over a salad was not as cold as I would have liked it. Also I would have like a greater selection of salads. Overall everyone enjoyed their meal and service. Thank You & Happy Holidays!!
really decent trio competing with piped in loud Christmas music.......couldn't hear either properly.....manager did turn it off when asked.....
food just OK.... said that anchovies were not available for Caesar salad, salmon entree served on cold dish, and brocolli mushy.
have been there for brunch, which was more enjoyable
There is nothing I can say that would do this place justice from service to the food - EXCELLENT!!! Chris (the GM), Zada (our server), and the Chef (sorry can't remember the name) were OUTSTANDING!!!
Took my Mom there for her birthday lunch, and mine as well. Appetizers were awesome! (Ahi and the Shrimp Cargot - a definite must try when you go!) When my duck was not as crispy as I like and a little lukewarm - when Zada was told she didn't blink an eye and recommended the Shrimp and Lobster roll (probably the best I have had outside of Boston!) - which the Chef personally brought out to me and asked about my duck - great service. Zada and Chris were apologetic and took care of everything. Dessert was bread pudding - too die for!!!
We had a reservation which in retrospect seemed like a good idea b/c it looked like they were having some seating issues. Server was knowledgeable and competent, food was solid. Was surprised that it was so good because I typically find the restaurants in large shopping centers to be sub-par. Dessert was delicious too.
The food was very good, portions were generous and our waiter was very attentive. The crab cakes and Vodka & crab were very good. The butternut squash soup was a bit spicy for our liking, but still very good. The carrot cake was excellent and served warm. A nice surprise. Mom said the bread pudding was some of the best she's ever had.
Excellent food. Liked the choice of traditional and other options on the holiday. The turkey platter was outstanding!! Crab cakes and soups were quite good also. Prompt and efficient service. Wonderful option for those not cooking on holiday. Will try another time for a dinner out.
we reservations, but it was jam packed and we were still seated promptly. our waitress was amazing, knowledgeable and friendly. she gladly checked on ingredients for one of our friends who has food allergies and made substitutions with a smile. the food was outstanding!
