Barrel and Crow: A Contemporary Approach to Regional cuisine. Our Chef-driven restaurant relies solely on locally sourced produce and proteins. Chef John Wood utilizes these seasonal ingredients in preparing refined yet familiar comfort food. House made pastas and charcuterie offered every evening. Chef is always anxious to modify menu items to fit any dietary restrictions. Gluten, Vegetarian, Vegan and Dairy allergies are no problem. Always delicious food and presented in lovely way,
Excellent staff and chef. Pork Chop yum as special presentation on Sat night Nov 9 2019. Great crab !
Seasonal but beignets crab on appetizer delicious.
Another appetizer that is worth trying fresh tuna rolls. Save room for desserts, always a happy ending to your meal.

On a Monday night with the restaurant busy but not full, it was hard to understand why everything, starting with a waiter to take a beverage order, took such a long time to appear. Not enough staff? Even after checking with the kitchen, the waiter couldn’t tell me exactly where the oysters came from. Someone should know exactly where the oysters come from! They were good though.

Was taking several young, international colleagues out for a a farewell dinner. Thought that B&C would be a suitable "American" restaurant and it did not disappoint. Everything from the oysters, starters, and duck was great.

I was hoping for fried green tomatoes, but the season is done , we shared the burrata and these little mini tacos filled with ahi tuna - they are almost bite size , delicious! The trout had a nice crispy skin while keeping the fish flaky and perfectly seasoned. The duck is out of this world - I say it’s the vest I’ve had . We shared the pumpkin cheesecake which wasn’t heavy but enough to share .

I thought the food was excellent, really amazing. It's been a while since I was this impressed with a restaurant choice. I would definitely go back (a bit far from home) and I highly recommend the Barrel & Crow. Dessert was disappointing, there was really nothing to tempt you and they supposedly have a pastry chef so I was really looking forward to being amazed. Wine prices were very reasonable and there was even draft beer on tap for those who prefer beer. Though the beer was aimed for the young IPA drinkers.

I thought that Barrel & Crow was very good, but not great. The Mussels and Fries were ok. The fries were certainly not frites. My wife and daughter in law were very pleased with their selections. The service was a little slow but very friendly. The dessert was fabulous. I would go back.

Hadn't been to Barrel & Crow in a while, but definitely won't wait as long again. Both my husband and I really enjoyed our entrees very much and the dining room is very cozy.

On a busy Friday night, this restaurant was a nice place for an excellent "locavore" meal. It was quiet enough to have conversations. Every item was unique and great.

Food and service were excellent! Great food and beer recommendations from our waiter. Place had a friendly vibe. Soft shells crabs were still in season and were lightly fried and tasty. Trout was flaky and not overdone. Desserts (chocolate cake and lemon torte) were delicious too.

We hadn’t been in a while and we’re glad to find that quality and service were still very good. The plating was beautiful too! The gnocchi and poblano peppers were particularly outstanding.

Food was great but the service was not as attentive or detail oriented as we would have liked. Also, they had the doors open to the patio seating which would ordinarily be nice but it was a hot evening with temps still in the 80s after dark and high humidity so we sweated through dinner.

From the moment, we walked through the doors the service was superb. We were seated quickly to our seats. The crab beignets, fried calamari, lamb bolognese and spiced shrimp & grits were superb. Each were well seasoned. The waitress was very attentive. We will definitely be returning.

Barrel & Crow was excellent from the standpoint of food and service. I highly recommend it. As far as ambiance is concerned, it's a bit dark and dreary. There were actually customers using their iPhone flashlights to read the menu. Brighten the place up!!!

Was a great meal with excellent service, our server was outstanding with his recommendations. Made a reservation but wasn’t needed really for a 12:30 brunch on Sunday. Only thing that would have been better was towards the end of the meal another server kept getting into our space rearranging tables and asking us to scoot back as we were enjoying the last bit of our meal. No problem being accommodating but it took away a little bit from an otherwise great meal. Maybe reserve a few larger tables for parties outside earlier in the day rather than move tables together and disturb customers who already there? Would still go back

Definitely give this place a try! We had one night in town and chose this place. Great outdoor seating for 4 people and inside is nicely decorated and comfortable. The food is excellent! From appetizers to dessert, we enjoyed it all. Our server was very knowledgeable and did a great job describing the dishes. He made excellent suggestions for those that had a hard time choosing. Overall, great place!

The food was great, nicely decorated, but the service seemed a little unorganized. The drinks and appetizers were being auctioned off at the wrong tables. Perhaps a staffing shortage caused this? It did not detract too much, but more attention placed on getting the table right would have been nice. We will be back. Definitely!

Overall great dining experience. The food is very well seasoned. The smoked duck breast dish is superb. The pastry chef’s shortcake is also perfectly spiced. The only thing the restaurant can possibly improve in the future would be to include more local selection on its wine list.
