I went for brunch. The food was pretty good and the service was great. I would definitely go again.
Had an 11:30 reservation on a Sunday. Disappointed that breakfast ended at 11:00 but was in formed that some breakfast foods were available. Ended up ordering crab and avocado toast. which was delicious. Very friendly and pleasant wait staff.
Food was exceptional. We ordered 4 apps to share and all were fantastic.
Sat down and placed drink order quickly. Drinks came and the waiter never came back. After 24 minutes (maybe half full restaurant at this time) of us waiting to order food, I went to the bar to ask if our wait could come over at which point he came over a few minutes later.
Placed order and food out relatively quickly (maybe 10-15 mins) delivered by a food runner not by waiter. After ordering waiter did not return for another 35 mins at which point we declined drinks as our meals were over half way done. Took another 15 mins to get the check which involved us flagging the waiter down even though we were the only remaining table out of maybe 7 total.
During this time, the section we were in was closed and roped off for an afternoon party so there was just one other table in our section finishing up.
Food was average, price was average, but service was horrible especially with such an unoccupied restaurant. Won’t be coming back unless my work is paying for it and I can’t recommend anyone else visit either given this was service at 1/4 to maybe 1/2 occupied....a full house would easily be a 2+ hour lunch on a work day.
All good today
Great food and service!
If you're looking for a nice space with good drinks and good food, you can't go wrong with B&B. I would recommend it more for groups of 4 or more actually as it seems geared for large groups, rather than an intimate meal.
Great experience- burger was awesome
Kudos for Brianna, she was amazing! Very accommodating since it was my first visit and didn’t know that the outdoor seating is first come first serve however, it’s also cafe style (no server). She was able to seat us close to the outdoor seats and get great services. Love the Crab Sandwiches and the Jalapeño cocktails. She also comp. us free deserts!! Will definitely return with friends!
Sent for our anniversary! Great service, great food!!!
Great brunch! Located in the Hyatt but good for non-guests too. Amazing service- I got endless coffee top-offs which is so necessary for early morning dining!
Really good happy hour and lots of seating!
Food was better than expected, first time I’ve eaten a sandwich on a date!
I was entertaining guest who just landed in DC from overseas, I needed a place near their hotel. I also did not know how tired they would be and if they had dietary restrictions. Barrel and Bushel fit all of these requirements. I wanted someplace easy but interesting.
Appetizers and entrees were great. Dessert was disappointing.
The food was great and great service! Highly recommended
Sat out on the patio on a gorgeous day, before most of the lunch crowd arrived. Patio tables have contactless service so if you want a server to ask questions, and interact with, I would suggest requesting a table inside. The food was great. Overall a fabulous experience!
It was just OK. The food was OK. The service was just OK. Nothing to rave about. Nothing to complain about. Just OK. Expected better food. But it served its purpose.
Outstanding service and the food was great - will go again. Great location with outside options. Great selection of local beer. Be prepared for a lot of noise when busy. We had a group of 8 and super hard to hear down the table due to the noise.
The primary reason for selecting this restaurant was its convenient location and available parking nearby. The restaurant is a popular spot for corporate happy hours and other social events. The ambience of the restaurant is quite nice and they also have a nice outdoor seating area. They have a wide selection of beer and other drinks on the menu. The food is quite good, although a little heavy on the meat side and could do with some enhanced vegetarian options. The service staff is friendly and attentive. Overall a very pleasant experience and I would most definitely recommend to others.
Jeff was the bees knees. Atmosphere was great. Nice space and environment. The food was good. Highly recommend the After Dark dessert cocktail. More of a happy hour after work feel.
Food was very good, our server was excellent! Great atmosphere - could hear the live musician.
Not a place to go if you are looking to have a lunch meeting.
It was super loud at 2:00 pm. Other than that, the experience was good.
The food was very good.
Once we learned the restaurant was in the Hyatt we were impressed by the ambiance. Really cozy and inviting. Great food! We had pub sliders, crab dip with pretzel, avocado and crab toast, hot fried chicken and French toast, turkey avocado sandwich ... all fabulous! Our waitress was very helpful and attentive.
Good time, just need to work on blocking the setting sun in our eyes better
Loved every bite and every moment! Definitely will be going back!
Great service and excellent food. Highly recommend the corn and avocado side dish. The only downside was the sun - at certain times in the evening, it shines on the patrons and no shade can be pulled because of the walkthrough to the outside. Otherwise, a good experience.
Excellent selection of draft beer, small playes and entrees. Great waitstaff.
Food was good. Made a reservation for 2 people and although the place was empty we we put right next to the kitchen with a lot of foot traffic. Waiter was chasing us as soon as we sat down and although we were clearly chatting he came over 3 times to take the order - when we ordered and the food arrived he started hovering to take away the plates - I lost half my salad as he took the plate away before I had time to protest.
Enjoyed the food; didn’t enjoy the waiter or table location
The service was non existent. The little we did get was abrupt, rude and tacky. Drinks were served in plastic cups, we were told “restaurant is closed “ with a tap in the table by a server, food was probably the worst I’ve had in a while except for the $30 crab dip appetizer. Wouldn’t go back...ever!
Very loud music all over the dining room. It was turned down after we asked the server which was helpful. Otherwise we had to yell to hear each other. Food and servers was very good.
Waitress was not attentive. Very slow service. Good took a long time even though the menu is limited.
Potato chips were hard and no flavor
Vegan burger was dry and no flavor
Chicken sandwich was good.
The food was very good. Ambience was very nice. There was a bit of a delay to get the bill, but given the current staffing shortages effecting all restaurants in the area right now, this is understandable.
Great food, great service and experience. Roomy inside with high ceilings.
Quality service and good food and nice restaurant to relax & unwind.
Great atmosphere, food and drinks
Food was average. Nothing wowed me away.
Good food and service.
Would definitely come back again.
We went for an early lunch to catch up with girlfiends and were glad to find welcoming service that didn't rush us and a quiet atmosphere. I would return to see what dinner or weekend scene is like.
