I was disappointed. It was too much noveau Italian. Pasta was great but my Berkshire pork was simply ok. They tried too hard to have the pork dish be pretty instead of tasty. A doubt a real Italian would have any interest in the menu. The best part of my meal was a superb Riesling.

We visit this restaurant a few times a year. Our most recent visit was the most disappointing experience we have had there. The service was rather poor, and the menu was not as interesting or flavorful as it has been in the past.

The food and ambiance at Barolo Grill was excellent. Even though the restaurant was full the service didn't show. Our waiter, Andrew, spent time reviewing the menu with us and providing us options to share small plates and split dishes. We never felt rushed at all. The food was excellent.

Food and wine are outstanding. Half and tasting portions are wonderful options. But the very best thing is the courteous and knowledgeable staff - valet, hostesses and servers. All combine seamlessly to make an evening to remember.

One of my favorite restaurants in Denver for at least the last 20 years. We don't go often enough, but it's truly one of those rare gems that do everything impeccably well. Aside from the food, which is some of the absolute best in town, we enjoy being treated as special, appreciated guests by the wait staff, manager, hostess, everyone! For a special occasion (or to make any night feel special) reserve a table at Barolo Grill!

Barolo was ‘solid’ as it’s been for many years but the appetizers and pasta plates we had were good but uninspired, given the prices charged for them. All the pasta dishes needed ‘something’ to make them memorable; in one, the pork needed some treatment or maybe be wild boar, another plate lacked some acidic element — I added some vermouth and olive oil to my leftovers and it was excellent (and didn’t ‘clump’) like the version I was served. The panna cotta dessert was not as firm as I would have expected. We did have a lovely evening, with excellent service, but I think the bar is now set considerably higher in Denver at the same price level and I don’t think that Barolo has yet managed to up its food game accordingly.

We just returned from two weeks in Tuscany, and to carry over the lovely memories we decided to celebrate my wife's birthday at Barolo Grill. We have eaten here not often, for special occasions mostly, for nearly two decades and they always treat us as if we were their best friends. The tagliatelle primi patti was as good as anything we had in Siena or Montepulciano, and the duck has been a family favorite for years. The waitstaff are truly wonderful -- careful not to intrude but available at a moment's notice to handle any wishes or issues. A truly memorable dinner.

The food is amazing and the staff are very knowledgeable about the menu. They give great suggestions if you can't quite decide what to get. The desserts are incredible. I have been here twice and both times were amazing. The staff are actually sent to Italy once a year to learn more about the food that is served.

I have been wary about eating scallops since having very bad ones at Kevin Taylor’s restaurant, some years ago I had to send them back. Our waiter at Barolo assured me the ones they served were the top pick of their seafood selections. He was not wrong. They were perfectly seared and so buttery. My husband’s risotto was another matter, however. He ordered it for the truffles. Truffles? Almost none to be found. My daughter shared the ones on her beef tenderloin dish (cooked to perfection) with him. They were tasteless. The purple potato chips were better, actually. The $75 tasting menu was so-so. With the chef’s selections not being so memorable, I think a diner is better off with an entree. Since it was our 50th anniversary, Barolo surprised us with two stemmed shot glasses of liquor and two creamy, delicious truffles. The restaurant is beautiful. The food and impeccable service are a testament to the long life of this establishment.

Barolo does not disappoint. They went through a short-lived rough patch about 10 years ago but have regained their excellence and consistency. Missy is a top-level service professional, expertly guiding us through the menu and suggesting wine pairings. Highly recommended for a thoroughly and effortlessly pleasing dining experience.

This place had amazing food, knowledgeable and passionate staff, and amazing decor. The one major down side was the smell. When you first walked in, the smell or raw sewage and dead fish hits you in the face and then continues to familiarize itself with you at your table. Wish it wasn’t so bad, we would’ve enjoyed our dinner more. Overall, amazing and authentic food though.

This was a special date night for my GF and I, as we have 5 children between us and it is hard to get away. Barolo Grill did an AMAZING job of making us feel welcome and appreciated. I had specially requested the seats in front of the fireplace area and they graciously accommodated that request. We did the Tasting menu with a slight change on the main course so we could sample something different on the main course and they accomdated us. The experience was unforgettable! The ambiance, service, food quality, presentation and wine pairings were some of the best we have ever experienced. We have already recommended Barolo Grill to our friends and family if they should ever be in Denver. It is well worth a visit to experience.

The entire experience was just typical Barolo Grill; exceptional. We invited guests to join my wife's birthday celebration. They had never been to BG. They were in awe of how well the entire experience turned out. Kudos need to be passed out to all the staff. We are looking forward to a return. It's at the top of our list of restaurants to go to, and take good friends.
