A standby for us for a long time but we won’t be going back anytime soon. They just book way too many tables and they’ve done nothing to improve the sound. On all their trips to Italy, haven’t they noticed that high end restaurants in Europe (and South America for that matter) do not resemble and sound like clubs or cafes.

Food was fantastic as always. Only thing I would bring up is I did mention it was my wife's birthday in my reservation. I saw a couple birthday liqueurs with candle get walked past us and dropped to neighboring tables. Instead we got the check :( Otherwise a fantastic meal.

We love this restaurant. The food and service are always great. But, the valet reeked of booze when we arrived. That was weird.

The food was good. However, the quality of the shrimp in my pasta were not the quality I would expect. The calamari and fish appetizer I would skip. The creme brûlée was excellent.

So incredibly old school....the wine list was ridiculous.....page after page after page......incredibly overpriced and the food was nothing special. The bread stick spread tasted like baby food. This is the 3rd and final time I will ever go to this restaurant, the emperor has no clothes.....

I have been to Barolo Several times and like the restaurant generally. i like a number of the menu items and my group of 6 was generally happy. I have just of a couple of items to note: 1) it would be good to have one or two basic pasta items on the menu; 2) We were seated approximately 25 minutes after our reserved time; and 3) for some reason the lights near our table flickered from bright to dim during the entire meal which was disturbing. Otherwise very good food and service.

Our dinners and the service were both excellent. My only complaint is that when I got home I discovered that the lovely wine reduction sauce that I had carefully saved to go with my leftover duck had not been included in my take-home container. All it would have taken was a quick swipe or two with a rubber spatula. Whenever I specifically ask my server at any given restaurant to be sure to include the sauce with my leftovers I feel like maybe I'm being persnickety, but it really is part of the dish and it seems like I shouldn't have to ask.

This was our second visit to Barolo ... and again a really enjoyable dining experience on the outskirts of downtown Denver. The food and service were outstanding ... and the ambiance conducive to quiet conversation and a romantic evening with a special person. The waiter was quite knowledgeable about wine and of course the menu. In fact, the whole staff apparently visits Italy every year to learn about wine and dining authenticity! Really enjoyed this again ... we plan to return while in Denver.

We just love this place. We hadn't gone for awhile, but it was just as great as we remembered. The staff is knowledgable and attentive. They have a fabulous wine list and a fun Happy Hour at the bar. Our food was delicious. We won't wait so long to return next time!!

Went with a friend excited for a fun and foodie evening. I have to say, we were both very disappointed. Wine by the glass selection was decent, but bottle selection extensive.
Salad selection was a bit odd, so we skipped it. I'm mostly vegetarian so I opted for a spaghetti pasta with seared tuna. Most of their pasta dishes come in small or regular and the smaller portion was recommended as enough for my main course. It wasn't enough, but I didn't like the pasta or the cold tuna so I was glad I went smaller. The pasta was much too al dente for my taste, the tomato sauce was thick and odd, and the seared tuna was cold, had no flavor, and was oddly chewy. I love sushi, but I didn't expect it on top of pasta?
My friend got the duck dish, which was a decent portion but had been simmered in a wine sauce with the skin and fat on, which left a rubbery, chewy skin around all the pieces. The garlic served with it was burnt to a crisp and stuck in our teeth, very few vegetables on the plate, and severely overcooked fried potatoes. It was mediocre at best, and such a disappointment. Everyone around us who had the steak dish seemed pleased, but there weren't many veggie options for me on the menu.
Time for dessert was the biggest let down of the night. We ordered a crème Brule to share, and although it looks large, they simply serve it in a very long shallow rectangular dish, and though that does allow for even more crisp topping, it leaves a lot to be desired for the crème part, which is my favorite! My friend enjoyed it, but I have a very discerning palate and it tasted completely chemical to me. The server asked what we thought and I told him it had a chemical taste, and he immediately whisked it away stating that 1 in 20 tables say that? Then maybe change your recipe??? He brought back Panna Cotta which had a watery coating and looked wet on the plate. I was hoping for an amazing sweet, but really was disappointed. Overall, we won't be returning soon

This restaurant continues to stand out as one of the great places to eat in Denver. The food is always tasty, well presented and well prepared. The staff is very attentive to special requests. Even though the restaurant is large and busy, you never feel overwhelmed or unable to have a table conversation. If you haven't given it a try......you don't know what your missing.

We had missed this local gem until a family member sent us a gift certificate for a birthday. We may have a new go-to place now!

You may eat as few or many courses as you desire. The selections are creative and feature great, fresh ingredients. The food itself was excellent and cooked to perfection.

The service was excellent. Attentive without being overbearing, and with helpful recommendations.

We were very disappointed with our last visit. We asked to move tables when being sat and that seemed to throw them all off. I mean, they were very friendly and accommodating of our request but the rest of the evening had just kind of funky/less than perfect service. We had to ask for napkins and had to follow up on our questions regarding ingredients for our one member's dietary restrictions. Then, the food was a disappointment. We eat all around Denver and have recently had lots of local Italian food (preparing for a trip there this year) and just felt all the food was mediocre at best. I had the duck, which they say has been on the menue for years but it was a little bland and not very interesting of a dish. My wife had the ravioli with short-rib and it was COVERED in this sweet sauce that just overpowered everything. We did really enjoy the beat salad but another of our party members got the ceasar and she was also let down with it being ho-hum.
Maybe our expectations were off but we have had great meals here in the past, all be it years ago. So I don't know if they had some chef change or their seasonal menu this time around just was not as perfected as in the past. Whatever it was, we each named several other Italian restaurants we would have rather visited to get an amazing meal and likely for a lot less. :(
