We did brunch here. I had a good Eggs Benedict and the hollandaise sauce was great.
Great dependable neighborhood place to dine.
Wonderfully prepared food, pleasant and attentive wait staff. Great evening out!
Very good food and service. French bistro style.
Wonderful restaurant. Great food and great services.. We love it.
Lovely little family run place with delicious food.
Nice place, good food. Will return by occasion.....
Nice atmosphere, good customer service and the food was the usual breakfast, BUT with loads of flavour, freshness and goodness.
Great service and food at quaint charming neighborhood jewel! Authentic French menu with variety!
Food and service wonderful. Would definitely go back
Good food, service a bit slow. Good value for money.
Excelent food and services. Friendly place to go.
Food and service are always excellent; authenticFrench cuisine. Quiche is the best we have ever eaten; Niçoise salad with fresh tuna was excellent; and the crepe with fresh fruit was also excellent.
One of the best. We keep coming back and bringing more admirers
Good overall. Pricey for specials. Not busy at all for a Saturday nite. Just expensive for what they offered.
Consistently excellent food in a relaxed, pleasant atmosphere.
This neighborhood spot is stylish and clean lined. I have been twice for lunch and once for dinner. It is good quality and really nice food and presentation. I do find it a bit pricey for everyday lunch, but they do a nice happy hour. The grilled fish, the sandwiches and the chocolate mousse were really very nice. the staff and decor is casual yet classy.
Everything was delicious!! My husband and I both ordered the tuna as a main course and both of ours was cold. We gave it back and they warmed it up and it was much better. Our appetizers were outstanding. All in all would definitely go back
Never a disappointment. Consistently good food, service, ambiance.
The food was excellent the service as well. Drove by this place many times and never thought much of it. Now that I have tried it by recommendation of a friend I can’t wait to go back!! Still savoring the food. From appetizers to salads to main course a total winner.
Interesting menu. Lunch centers on sandwiches, quiches. Offerings are pricey. Want to try dinner menu. Parking is TIGHT, but if you are willing to cross Biscayne Boulevard, there is a large parking lot for a strip mall across from Barok.
Barok is always good, regretfully, never better. We live 10 minutes away and used to go there often, less so recently. The problem is a menu that hasn’t changed since they opened, and specials which are uninspiring and for the most part overpriced. This night they ran out of several menu items including an ingredient to make a sauce. Inexcusable! We have told them directly, but the owners don’t seem to care. Too bad, because it could be a first rate restaurant with just a little more effort.
Dear Howard, Thank you for your review Barok Cafe. I'm sorry to hear that our specials are uninspiring. We are changing it often and I'm sure you will find something more appealing next time. After a busy weekend, we run out of some items, apologies. Most of our regular customers love our menu and ordering their usual, we prefer working on daily specials. It doesn't occur that we spoke on Sunday, it's my day off, I will love to speak to you on your next visit. Happy Holidays. RUDY Owner.
The restaurant is a cafe yes but the menu is anything but. Very French, good variety of both menu items and specials and reasonably priced. Though it lacked much in the way of decor, it nevertheless felt cozy.
We had the special brie with truffles which came with lovely artisanal bread, a small salad with sliced figs
and strawberries and lettuce. Very large so should have been shared but I took the rest home instead.
H had the foie gras...didn't hear a word out of him - he was busy enjoying. For mains I had the filet mignon au poivre with their special ratatouille as I didn't want the carbs that came with it. H had pan seared salmon with cauliflower rice (made especially as he didn't want the carbs that came with it). Loved the fact that they happily replaced items we didn't want with something else. Dessert was crepe suzette which we shared. Will definitely come here again next time we are in Miami.
Best french restaurant in Miami. Amazing food, great atmosphere and excellent service.
Fantastic French cuisine at a reasonable price. Small, so reservations recommended. Wonderful sauces and numerous specials. Service was attentive without being to pushy or rushed. This was an unexpected gem! We will certainly return when we are in the Miami area again.
All was delicious. Especially the mushroom soup.
El pescado estaba demasiado cocido y el precio muy por encima de lo que correspondia a la canlidad y cantidad de la comida que comimos. A dos platos distintos pusieron una salsa espesa se tomates desagradable
Escargot appetizer, Scallop entrees excellent! Mahi Mahi entree very good.
Service a little slow but it’s part of the French charm.
The snapper was delicious, very fresh and prepared well.
They didnt get my open table reservation.. I was lucky they were not full
Perfect French breakfast/brunch, featuring all the classics. We had French toast, and mushroom quiche, both delicious. They have the benedicits, the croques, the crepes, the omelettes, the wine, etc. Worth a trip.
We go to Barok often. What they do is good. But they haven’t changed their menu since they opened, specials are often variations on the main menu, often with truffles ( that is right, truffles) which raises the prices. We would go even more often if they at least “tweaked” the menu.
Very noisy! Could not talk!
very good food, a little noise, but we has lots of fun, will highly recomend
Barok is typically great but Saturday was a bit of a fail. When we arrived the restaurant was empty. I hate to give food 5 stars but the actual quality of food was good but it took FOREVER. They also may have been short handed because service did not make up for the delays the kitchen was creating. They did not have time to touch tables and check in...they had time to try and keep up. The restaurant did fill up as per usual which only made it a bit more of a struggle. Overall it took us over 2 hours to have a pretty basic meal. The food is always solid but definitely not worth the experience. That being said, I have been before and it has been great so I am going to hope this was a one off and will definitely give it another shot
Good food at value pricing
Food was great! Very good service! Will come back
As always, very good food. Variety of choices. We had an outstanding Cotes du Rhone. Service attentive. Waiter forgot to tell us specials.
Nice breakfast w guests
I’m a local and love this place. It’s seriously amazing and the food is so yummy. Try the shrimp! I think this place is the best for everyday dining or special occasions. It’s perfect.
