   This was our fourth visit and came to the conclusion that the starters and entrees are truly something special. We are going to pass on the desserts; they tend to have too many flavors and end up not satisfying. Have to be careful on the drinks for the same reason. The service is wonderful.

   Overpriced and just not that good. If you go for brunch stick with the basics—a burger and fries or a salad. Everything else just tries too hard and is not good/way overpriced

   Late lunch sitting at their beautiful bar with sun streaming in the windows and door is perfection. The staff are all amazing - the new menu has delicious healthy and evil choices. Sitting at the bar gives you a view seat of the mixologists - each drink is a delicious work of art. Can’t wait to return!

    The food, presentation and service were impeccable. Clearly one of the best restaurants in Healdsburg. Always a pleasure to be greeted by a warm and welcoming staff. The cocktails are fabulous. My personal favorite experience.

    The goat cheese and rigatoni appetizer we had were amazing. My boyfriend got the chicken and said it was cooked nicely but it didn’t have much flavor. I ordered the trout and it was terrible. The fish was VERY over cooked and there was a glob of something that looked terribly unpleasant under the fish and it tasted even worse. The mushroom broth on it was okay but, it didn’t really go with the fish. Trout is light and the sauce was so heavy with mushroom it covered up the beauty of the fish. I only had about 3 bites and couldn’t eat anymore because it was so bad. I was very disappointed.

    This is the second year in a row I’ve celebrated a birthday here (and perhaps the last time). The experience was good but the staff didn’t particularly go out of their way to make it feel special. The card and candle were nice touches but rather gratuitous. The food was good but very overpriced. Our server was competent but clearly not very confident. Hopefully he’ll get better with more experience but a bit disappointing from our point of view. The ambience just seems to lack character and charm.

    We were quite disappointed in our dinner. It started off well with a very nice couple of cocktails from the interesting choices available on the menu. The food was not impressive considering the price and supposedly Michelin recommendation. The little goat cheese croquettes were strangely presented on a little rectangular tray. They were small and not very unique. The porcini rigatoni pasta was very tasty and perfectly al dente. My trout was very good and nicely plated. This came with the ling cod plate that my husband didn't order so we had to wait for his duck entree. Before it was taken back we noticed how fishy the ling cod smelled - not fresh. Finally the duck entree came but my husband was not at all impressed with the two small strips of duck presented on the plate with unimpressive accompaniments, at the crazy price of $55. Neither entree came with ANY vegetables! We didn't think this would be the case or we would have asked for the brussel sprouts, which would have set us back another $16 or so. The radicchio salad didn't sound tempting, being a very bitter lettuce that is normally added to mixed greens. Wines by the glass were disappointing - only a chardonnay and pinot noir (2 options). What if we didn't like these two varietals? The dessert was strange and not at all tasty. NO choice of dessert! The final insult after having to wait for my husbands incorrectly presented entree was the 19% tip automatically added to the bill. Presented in the middle of the bill, some might not even see this and might add a standard amount on top. With the poor service we received from our waitress, we certainly didn't feel 19% was the proper amount but we had no choice! Very poor service from her but good service from the other staff looking out for our water glasses and when we were finished with our plates. We wouldn't go back to this restaurant and don't feel it should be Michelin recommended.

    Pretty standard, if limited, brunch menu. Interesting, beautifullly presented cocktails. Obvious high-quality, freshest ingredients prepared simply and with great flavor and condiment pairings. Premium price for a top-quality, nice setting and service simple meal.

    We celebrated our friends birthday with a Saturday brunch at Barndiva. We had a delicious meal on the back patio deck. The server, Sierra, was outstanding! She made the experience 5 star, what a great waitperson. The restaurant is lovely, could not have been a better day for our birthday celebration!

    Must have been what I ordered. Croque Monsuer. Too much tasteless white sauce and too little ham. FAB White peach Bellini. My fellow diner enjoyed her burger. Great location and ambience though. Definitely would return and tell others to give it a try. Very nice and welcoming staff and wonderful setting. There is a recovery surcharge which I do not mind paying for the occasional meal out during the COVID recovery time however long that may last. Healdsburg was hopping yesterday with lots of people and restaurants full.

    Terrific ambiance and service. The food is creative, but the flavors didn’t quite integrate as well as the ambition implies. It’s very good, but the flavors seemed muted for the complexity of the preparation.

    The food was superb and the atmosphere nice, but when my drink was dropped in my lap we were not offered anything for compensation. Also, there is a 19 % surcharge added.

    At first we were surprised that the menu was brunch only on Friday at 1PM. However when we asked for some explanation On the menu items - we were fine. Than when the food arrived it was amazing. The burger I thought was scrambled eggs to die for My wife’s omelette. Was a combination blintzes Also incredibly. Drinks very unique and tasty.

    Went to enjoy the hamburger which was on the online menu. No longer available. There is a burger on the brunch menu which has an egg and bacon on it for $26. I ordered it without and asked for grilled onions. My husband was having the hot dog and it comes with grilled onions. I was told the kitchen doesn’t make accommodations and sure enough mine came with sliced onion! For the price, I feel they should make abit more of an effort! Bill was $79 for a hamburger, hot dog and 1 beer!

    The food is fantastic. Our only complaint is perhaps there could be a bread option that isn’t $12 for two slices of toast to mop up the delicious sauces. Every other item we had was worth the price.

    I went to Barndiva before it had a Michelin Star when it was difficult to get a reservation and now when it does and it is easy. This is not a coincidence. If there is any justice, it will lose its Michelin star and return to its roots. The food selection now is limited, at best, with only four mains which are of the same genre and heavy meat. This was a problem for my girlfriend who is a vegetarian. Consequently, she could only eat one starter so left hungry which they didn’t even offer to make a main size. The first time we went, the choices were varied and plentiful which is one of the reasons that we liked it. Not surprising, worse than the food was the service which was much better during Covid when you had to order by text message. The waiter asked us to order everything at the same time as it is easier for them. (Thye have a Michelin Star?) The waiter forgot to mention a special which we noticed because the table next to us had ordered it. Instead of either apologizing or trying to make it right, they tried to justify the oversite by saying that there was only 1 left and it was given to certain waiters so perhaps there was none where left when we ordered. This would almost be a reasonable explanation EXCEPT we sat down well over 30 minutes before the other table and we had the same waiter. The service charge of 19% is included which would be fine if the service warranted it and it certainly didn’t. In short, when in Healdsburg and you can’t get a reservation at Single Thread go to either Chalkboard or Dry Creek Kitchen. Both have much better food and service.

    We were very disappointed in our meals. There were four of us and had heard great things but 3 of us found our dinners to be nothing special. One ordered the duck and the sauces were delicious, so if you like rare duck, go with that choice.

    Great experience! Food was 💯 and service was attentive and strong. Drinks were creative - food was decadent. Would go back in a heartbeat next time we’re in Healdsburg. Sit outside if you get the chance/opportunity!
