It’s hard to describe the Barndiva experience. And a web site is no substitution for being able to sit back and enjoy the beauty of an extraordinary space, the taste of a perfect cocktail, or the satisfaction that comes from a meal that hits all the right notes in you.


Barndiva is a celebration of all things local. Our food is sourced from farmers, ranchers and small batch purveyors who live and work in the magnificent food shed surrounding us.

OVERPRICED. Wine is sold by the Ounce. Food portions tiny. Just not that good. Beware of wine prices as we thought the price for a full bottle (which was high) turned out to be a split!! Will never dine there again.

Perfect! Farm to table with ingredients I know put together in creative ways and cooked perfectly. Service was just right, friendly, unpretentious and attentive.

The food was outstanding. I had a pasta with spring vegtables, egg and “stinging nettle pesto” which was incredible. Descritiption was a little scary but it was light, vegetables perfectly cooked and really terrific. Started with goat cheese/ honey croquettes, yummy. Great share appetizer.
Perfectly cooked pomme frites aka french fries were worth the trip in and of itself....shared around the table. Wonderful meal all around. Great wine list.

We had a decent dinner, but not a great dinner (for two cost was $200). That was for two appetizers and two entre's. No wine, and no dessert. I expect great food for that price. My first bite of filet tasted like chicken (seriously). Again, it was an ok experience, but not worth the cost in our opinion.

Loved Barndiva! Great crudity, halibut was super fresh, filet mignon delicious. Wonderful service. Entire staff was attentive. We will return again.

The food was excellent but our unfortunately the service did not match. Our waitress was nice but was extremely slow to initially greet us, and then over the course of our dinner we only saw her 2 more times... for a very brief moment. It wasn't overly crowded so we weren't really sure what caused her to MIA.

So basically my review matched what mostly what I read when researching this place.

Food is always fabulous! Farm to table. Many of the staff members have been there for years which makes for a seamless, enjoyable experience. Lovely indoor & outdoor seating & full cocktail menu. My favorite place in Healdsburg!

A bit of a disappointment given the hype. The asparagus soup was beyond bland. The waiter was defensive in response instead of engaged in correcting our experience. Atmosphere was below average. This is definitely a tourist restaurant with a lack of engagement in the customer experience. I would use this restaurant for business meals, but not personal. It lacks the attention to detail I would want to see in a place we would frequent.

We were seated on the back patio for lunch and it was a beautiful day for it. Our cocktails and wine came out timely as did the food. Service was spot on. Everyone at the table enjoyed their food though one person thought the amount of food on the duck confit plate was not quite enough. Compared to the other dishes on the table, it was quite smaller in portion size.

First off, the food was outstanding! Also the service was very attentive and the ambience is very nice. There are two huge problems, however, one is the noise level which is unbearable. Serious consideration needs to be given to some acoustics expert. Also, the wine list is horribly unbalanced against the food price.Almost all wines were over $100 a bottle. for these two reasons, we won’t be returning.

But do not go on a week-end.........VERY loud party of 6 near us....it was annoying. My friend not happy with the soup or salad. The Buratta was delicious!

This is an absolutely hideous restaurant. Too expensive for what they serve. Corkage is outrageous, food is bland and ambience frankly disgusting. Wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy.

My Barndiva experience was the Best service from start to finish I’ve received in a long time anywhere!
They didn’t miss a beat. Gracious-welcoming-memorable!

We had a lovely dinner at Barndiva during a girls' getaway weekend in Healdsburg. The service was impeccable and so was the food. We could not choose among all the excellent appetizers, so we ended up sharing a bunch. The asparagus soup was delicious, so was the burrata and the yellowtail tuna. I had the chicken, which was superbly cooked, crispy on the outside and juicy and tender inside, with fresh vegetables on the side. The sommelier was very helpful and we all enjoyed the wine. The dessert (rhubarb tart) was enjoyed by all, and we left the restaurant feeling very happy and satisfied!

Loved Barndiva! We had a beautiful day up in Healdsburg. It was sunny and warm. The sun shone in the big windows. The food was fabulous as was the wine. In particular we loved the crab cake club sandwich. Would highly recommend this wonderful restaurant.

Attentive service, food well prepared and thoughtful recipes. Wine list has some good wines at affordable restaurant prices. Wait staff and wine suggestions very helpful. We get here about once each month from Mendocino. Not disappointed yet.

As a Healdsburg resident, I wish you would change your menu periodically or have different specials. Summer, fall, winter, spring it remains the same. You do well with what you have and it is always delicious, but you need to offer some variety in your fare. I hope you will heed my advice.

The reason I gave Barndiva only four stars is that my wife's first dinner order, the duck leg, was terribly overcooked. However, when we noted that to our server, she immediately suggested a replacement, a chicken breast, which was served perfectly cooked in about five minutes. The duck was inedible, but we were impressed with the response to the problem.

Was ok. We've been before and were a little disappointed. The service was a little slow and spotty. Had to ask for more wine and we were seated for a while before anyone came over to us. There were a couple of really loud parties at the bar which probably also put a damper on things.

We have eaten here multiple times and have always loved the food even though service has been hit or miss in the past.
This last time not only was the food amazing but the service was impeccable. They accommodated my mistake when I made the reservation for the wrong day. They took such great care of us. I would love to thank the staff on Barndiva for the wonderful dinner.
