Wonderful experience dining out in the patio, food is superb, every dish is excellent from starter main dish even the sides are to die for. service is very good, our waitress is very friendly and attentive. We did not order wines from the menu, brought our own, apparently quite a lot people do the same in wine country.
Definitely go back again!
This was the first restaurant I've been to since the first lockdown. I'm so glad it was Barndiva to welcome me back to dining outside my kitchen!
We sat in their beautiful garden. Ordered via text message and just soaked up the environment and the fact that someone else was cooking my meal AND bringing it to me!
We ordered their goat cheese croquettes which are not to be missed! I enjoyed the best burger I've had in a very long time.

The experience was fine, but the menu was limited.
Food was great! Seating and service were good. The menu is more limited than I remember, which I'm certain is due to Covid.
Fabulous food...fresh and very tasty. Dined on grilled shrimp, asparagus with Bernaise sauce and lemon cream pasta
We went for an early Thursday dinner, the heatlamp made it very comfortable and the staff from the waiter to Manuel who lit the heatlamp next to our bistro table were very kind and welcoming. I hadn't been there in years, the outdoor seating is spacious mainly pea gravel with tables more than adequately spaced apart. We started with the cheese croquettes which had a drizzle of honey and lavender flowers. I'm not a fan of lavender flowers on my meals, they're too perfumey for my taste but it wasn't overwhelming. They were still delicious and plenty for the 2 of us. My salmon was cooked to perfection. . The pino noir wine recommendation was also on point.

We had a really good expereince at Barn Diva. The food was amazing, and the contactless service was very creative and we felt safe and well taken care of. The outdoor seating was ambient and very artistic. Highly recommend.
We had to text our order to waitstaff inside which was a little off putting, they didn’t introduce themselves or anything. The food was good to really good but we had dinner and even with the heaters on it was too cold. We ate quickly and left, it was uncomfortable and too windy for the heaters to work. The tables were too exposed and we had to rush our dinner.

Having to text your order after being handed a menu is ridiculous. Steak had grizzle & therefore tough....otherwise a n overall pleasant experience.
Ive dined with Barndivia several times of the past few years and its always excellent. This is the first time that this wasnt the case. You order everything online texting to the kitchen because of Covid. In addition, there is a 19% charge on the overall bill for covering costs for the staff and again because of covid. This is not the tip- if you want to tip, it is in addition. While I understand that things are different for all of us during these times with Covid, I have dined at several other comparable restaurants in town that have not implemented these processes.

Now that CA has opened up they need to stop insisting patrons text in their order which means they don't get a chance to actually speak with a waiter and have proper service. It's truly ridiculous for the price. It comes across lazy and for the price I expect to have a conversation with a waiter before and during my meal. Once our plates of food were dropped off no one ever came by to check on us to see how it was or if we needed anything else which was terrible service. This place is quite snobby for no reason whatsoever. There are plenty of other restaurants in town that are as good and even better!
Their Covid precautions were so extreme that we left feeling neglected. We could have had the same service by ordering take out. I understand being safe and careful, but this was too far.
Food was good . There was a long black hair in our dessert which ruined it for me .
First when we called to ask if a table was available the host was very rude and short and told me to get online on Open table and make the reservation but that we could come in. We were a late lunch party of 4 celebrating a 40th birthday on a Wednesday. So we did that. Once we arrived we were seated and told we would be texting on our orders, we understood things would be different due to the pandemic. We had asked for shrimp and when the manager brought it out there was a mix-up and she was very rude and condescending about the order that was placed. Then when we asked if they could bring a birthday dessert they told us no. When we asked how to pay they told us that the card on file would be charged. They charge us a 20% service fee and tipping was not an option. They visited the table one time and were rude and treated us as an inconvenience. I would not recommend this experience to anyone coming into town.
In general no service, you have to do everything yourself by txt messages and at the end they add 19% service charge.

Our Easter brunch was absolutely wonderful! The staff were very kind and resectful. I could tell hygiene and health precautions were at the very forefront for the management staff, yet it wasn't a burden on us, it was pleasant. For example, "Could I spritz your hands with our lovely smelling hand spray before you come in?" and orders taken via waitstaff, or via text message.
The venue was beautiful. We ate under a canopy of wisteria and while we didn't need them, heaters were available. Staff were kind and accommodating to our (mostly well-behaved) young boys. Our meals were just fantastic. My crab eggs benedict was absolutely wonderful! I can't think of anything that would have made this more special or enjoyable!

The team at Barndiva is truly world class.
During yesterday’s Easter Prix Fixe Menu, I was asked which dessert I wanted out of the 3 options. I don’t eat dairy products and all 3 options were prepared with dairy. I was fine without dessert, everything else was so magnificent (Veuve in a watering can!).
To my surprise, a team member brought over vegan gelato from a shop around the corner. Oh, and the gelato was the best I’ve even had. Thank you Barndiva, you made a great experience even better!
Sitting under the wisteria for a late relaxed lunch was delightful and the shrimp scampi was excellent as well.
LOVED this place - we were seated in the back patio area and what a lovely setting. The food was great, wine list great and service was great.

This was our first time at Barndiva and it will not be our last. They have service during a pandemic down. Everything flowed seamlessly from the time we were greeted by the host until we grabbed our receipt on the way out. The food was excellent and I had food envy with each plate that went by. My only comment is on the portion size of the pasta dish I ordered. While delicious, it was a small amount of food and I would definitely have been hungry shortly after had my boyfriend not graciously let me eat almost all of the fries that came with his burger (which he loved and said was perfectly cooked). Bright side? Now I have an excuse to order the goat's cheese croquettes as well. Barndiva is a spot we have often talked about visiting and we do not know why it took us so long. The outdoor space is surprisingly large and is a peaceful oasis that lends itself to social distancing.

Even during the pandemic, Barndiva is doing a great job of serving their customers with care, safety & attention. Ryan, our server was knowledgeable about the wine pairings & everything was served in a timely manner. My salmon & my husband’s steak were both delicious. The side of mushrooms was amazing. We’ll definitely go back.
Unfortunately, our server or the kitchen forgot one of of our meals. Staff is light probably due to covid, and it was hard to get anyone’s attention. The worst part was that when we asked for the meal, no one seemed to be following up on the issue. We just sat and waited and 15 minutes later the food showed up. No acknowledgement and no apology. I get that things are tough right now, and mistakes happen, but an apology goes a long way.

Great spot for even those of us who live here in town, but reservations are always needed. Though we were turned away not having one (last minute spontaneous decision to dine out on a Wednesday), I was able to look in Open Table and see a spot open within 15 minutes of being told we could not be accommodated. Despite a few bumps as it was BD’s first night returning to full table side service, our server Ryan and other staff exceeded all expectations, and the food was spectacular.
