Barndiva is a celebration of Chef Erik Anderson's approach to fine dining. Our food is sourced from farmers, ranchers and small batch purveyors who live and work in the magnificent food shed surrounding us. Our artisan cocktail program is lead by Scott Beattie; our award winning wine program by Emily Carlson. We are proud to have been awarded a Michelin star for the past two years. Barndiva is able to host large dining parties and celebrations in Studio Barndiva, adjacent to the restaurant.

    We have eaten at Barndiva many times and enjoyed 5-star experiences, unfortunately, not so this time. The garden environment is relaxing and beautiful and weather permitting, we highly recommend requesting it. While the weather was a bit cool, they do have warmers - ours was started but when it ran out of propane, the tank was removed by a staff member but not replaced. Timing seemed to be off throughout our brunch - my meal was delivered well before my husband's then removed and returned later. The ordered bottle of wine was delivered and poured after the steak entree. My re-delivered meal had obviously not been remade but was kept warm - the cheese filling had solidified and separated - no gooey, cheesy filling for my omelet. Our bill was not originally correct, and even when corrected, the service charge was not adjusted. It was overall, a disappointing brunch at one of our favorite destinations in Healdsburg.

    Lunch time Food is a heavily meat centric brunch with no fish options and the only vegetarian option is a salad and an omelette. The venue is delightful and service is excellent, I am surprised at the menu though as it was poorly thought out with limited pescatarian options… Seems their focus is on the evening meals and hence suboptimal brunch experience….

    As in the past, service was impeccable. Fixed price arrangement led to poor value and limited choice. Price for four people $710 which would be OK if food was excellent , but it was not.

    We went for brunch. It was ok not memorable. I’m sure their Michelin star is for dinner. We will try to get a dinner reservation and reevaluate.

    Disappointing. We used to love Barndiva but we won’t be going back. Our son has an egg intolerance, and we asked them to check if they could substitute a different kind of bread for the burger. Someone from the kitchen came out and was very rude, as if we were a problem she didn’t want to deal with. Then, once we compromised on the bread, his burger was delivered with the sauce on it, even though we had explicitly asked to have it removed since it had egg. It was already late so we just scraped it off, but the lack of attention to detail was unacceptable On top of all this, they have an automatic tipping policy of 20 percent so we had no way to message that we were unsatisfied with the meal. No manager or anyone came over to check on us, which you would think would happen after two major issues like that. The other two dishes were also mediocre Disappointing

    A total culinary and sensory experience. Lovely outdoor dining area, superb service, transcendental food. Cocktails were also delicious and beautiful.

    I am puzzled how this place got a Michelin star. Food was nothing to write home about, the over priced cocktail I ordered tasted like turmeric water. Definitely not worth the $176 I paid which included an mandatory extortion of 20% tip

    Food was excellent! Staff very attentive. The price was a bit on the higher side. To determine if it’s worth it or not would be up to the visiting patron. We had a great experience and they are a single Michelin Start rated establishment. The in house Sommelier was super nice and offered valuable insights!

    Our dinner was a magical experience! A perfect summer evening outside near the fountain combining superb food, wine and service. Your sommelier was delightful, knowledgeable and chose the perfect wine to accompany our scrumptious meal. We will remember this dinner for a long, long time! Thank you Team BarnDiva!

    We’ve eaten here over the years when we would come to Healdsburg. Tonight we found the food just ok, not really satisfying, trying to be too cute and original, but not that tasty or great. We appreciate fine ding and have enjoyed numerous restaurants with Michelin stars. But not this one.

    We had brunch in the courtyard with friends. Every item was delicious and exceptional, even the side salad of fresh herbs. We cannot wait to return.

    We were in town celebrating our anniversary and they went the extra mile to make us feel welcome. The staff even wrote a happy anniversary note to us! The food was delicious and the wine paring was perfect with watch wine carefully selected to work perfectly with our food. We had a memorable evening and will certainly be back!

    Cocktails (go for one!) and wine selection are outstanding. Dishes were lovely and very well executed. Beautiful plating. Superb product quality (scallops!). Service staff is very professional and winsome. The ambience is artsy and spacious, yet cosy and tasteful. We‘ve had a fantastic evening at Barndiva. However, I would encourage the chef to be bolder in terms of seasoning and go a little wilder. The brigade and service is easily capable of delivering a second star im my opinion.

    We had a pretty disappointing experience. Initially, the wait for our cocktail at the bar took abnormally long. The drink itself was a great creative cocktail and probably the only highlight. Dinner service was not only slow for a pre-fix, but our server didn’t even realize we hadn’t gotten our second course for 30 minutes. We had to tell him. Understandably things happen, but he made no effort to make up for his mistake. The food was just ok. The fish dish was chewy, overcooked and not very warm. The dessert wasn’t great either. This place is way overpriced for what they deliver!

    First time and loved the experience overall celebrating a birthday. The only drawback was not something you could have changed; the only other table with us in the front outside were very distracting. Had a child and was walking all around the patio, talking loudly on the phone, vaping, using the other table for their food and spreading their plates around. Was really distracting and seemed not in character of the ambiance. Service and food were outstanding.

    My wife an I were on time for our reservation and seated right away. The wait staff was more than attentive, anticipating our needs and there when we needed them. The dinner menu, as I recall, was four courses, with a choice of two items per course. Each item was so unusual and deliscious-sounding that we couldn't decide, so I ordered the first item on each course, and my wife ordered the second. And then we shared. It was awesome. As each course was delivered to our table, the server explained what everything was and answered questions in detail. Wonderful experience!

    Beautiful setting. Food portions frankly were smaller than they should be and the prices too high. The omelet was fancy but average tasting. The pastry board was two pastries for something like 2 pastries. Great service.

    Overall a really nice experience. For the cost I would have appreciated a little more privacy from the other diners, but that is a minor quibble. Food was amazing and service would be the reason I return.

    The food and service are always impeccable. My one complaint or suggestion is to get better outdoor chairs! They are so uncomfortable and made the experience less than perfect. We always love to sit outside when we dine there, but chairs are just really uncomfortable every time. I'm sure others have said similar things -time to change them.

    Amazing dinner, with the best service we've had in years! Wonderfully paced dinner, the servers explained every dish perfectly, the bartenders were very engaging, answered our questions and even let us have a little sample of something we hadn't tried before. Top to bottom outstanding. They even had the staff sign an anniversary card for me and my wife. Thanks for a wonderful evening Barndiva!!

    Eating at Barndiva was a wonderful experience. However, for a third time Michelin starred restaurant all was not perfection. I chose the Ajo blanco for the second course. I regret that not all of the ingredients were listed on the menu. I would never have chosen it had I known it contained cucumber which does not and did not agree with me. Secondly, my friend chose the Brown Butter Miso Parfait for dessert. This was a frozen dessert which must have come out the the freezer only seconds before it was served. We were very sorry to send it back because it was so hard that neither spoon, nor knife could cut it, rendering it inedible. Nonetheless, I would happily return to dine at this restaurant again.

    We went to Barndiva to celebrate our anniversary. Every dish was amazing and the wine pairings were spot on. Service was very attentive and knowledgeable. Overall, I highly highly recommend. It was a fabulous meal!
