Barndiva is a celebration of all things local. Our food is sourced from farmers, ranchers and small batch purveyors who live and work in the magnificent food shed surrounding us.
Food is our passion. In everything we do, it all starts there. Thanks for visiting.

I love the ambiance and food at Barndiva. It is the best in the west!
I have gotten used to paying for bread service and after a day at the wineries, bread was needed. We only have bread on Saturday the waitress said in a tone that suggested I should know better. Excited about the gem salad with Meyer lemon dressing my excitement quickly wilted. While the gem lettuce was fresh and delicious, the salad lacked character as we searched for minuscule tidbits of vegetables that were overpowered by the giant gem leaves. We could barely taste any dressing so we requested more.
Looking for salvation in the main course proved to be futile as the three lonely scallops from Japan begged for company that would complement their delicate texture. The pork chop, while well brought up was looking for the seasonings that would show off its breeding.
All hope rested in dessert which was almost large enough to share. The honey polenta crusted custard, studded with an array of grapes was a subtle and nicely crafted ending to a meal with a faded star.
Excellent waiter, Ben. Lovely setting. Delicious food. Brava.
A beautiful, quiet setting for a delicious meal and warm, friendly service.
Food was outstanding at one star level, service quite good . Only drawback was service charge of 19% ( explained properly in fine print) presented in a way that pressures the customer to add on with a tip. Makes you feel "I left paying no tip" when it was 19%.
Quality menu with an emphasis on fresh and local. Appetizers were delightful, and the pace of service was good.
Anniversary + birthday
Lovely restaurant good food and wine
Food was great, waiter was attentive
A nice outdoor dining experience
Our lunch was absolutely wonderful. We both had salads and shared the Pavlova dessert. The dressing for my Caesar salad was perfect: very flavorful and well-balanced. The baby greens were tender. There was just the right amount of anchovies, not too many but enough to lend flavor. The Pavlova was exquisite in appearance and had a surprising number of elements; I ate many different Pavlovas while in Australia, where it originated, and none compared to this one.
The food is excellent. Our server Ben was friendly, with great recommendations. We enjoyed the fresh air and tranquility on the patio. A great night.
I'm sure all the recent media attention with gaining the Michelin star has been a blessing and curse for this restaurant. It was all fine, but pretty baffled why a basic menu with a ceasar salad, burger and chicken sandwich is getting a Michelin nod?
Nothing was particularly inspired or innovative. It was all just fine. We shared an app, 2 entrees and a side. we would have had dessert but were informed they were all out of dessert. Overall is was $170 for a just okay lunch. The 19% service charge that is not a gratuity is baffling. The way the server points it out very much puts you on the spot to tip extra as well. You're telling me you charge $8 for french fries and $15 for a caesar salad but can't afford to pay your staff a living wage? It's hard to comprehend.
The best cooked pasta ever. Amazing flavors.
Absolutely one of our favorite places! Great staff and great food!
I was excited to try a newly minted Michelin star restaurant but the experience was mediocre. Food was good but overpriced. $5.75 for a small lemonade and no complimentary refills? My waiter had to get the kitchen’s permission to leave garnish off of my sandwich because of their apparently strict “no alterations” policy. I understand not demanding onerous modifications, I truly do. But I *have* to have pickles on my chicken sandwich? It’s too much effort to be asked to just not put pickles on there? Jack-in-the-Box is more accommodating, and this place is hardly cheap. 19% service charge PLUS a tip expected, so I paid $62 for two chicken sandwiches/fries, one glass of lemonade, and water. Talk about overrated.
We went to Barndiva to celebrate a special occasion, we were seated inside directly across from the bar. I found this strange as there was only one other table in use inside the restaurant and in my opinion there were better tables suited for a quite celebration. That being said the service we received from Jade and Jared was phenomenal. Jade was able to coach us on ordering the right dishes and they were fantastic.
Staff was wonderful! Backyard was such a relaxing environment for a perfect brunch in Healdsburg.
Food and wine selection were excellent. Service was off. We had 3 different people asking to take our drink order. Once that got squared away, everything went smoothly. We enjoyed our Sunday brunch
This was bear far the most disappointing experience from a place you would least expect it. The service was so terrible and when we left I talked to the manager on duty. When she said she came over to check on us because she felt tension I couldn’t believe what I was hearing because she didn’t say much but poured our half bottle of wine which was the last of our drinks to arrive which at that point was 40 minutes after arriving. Then to top it off we weren’t asked if we would like dessert (sadly celebrating my daughter’s 30th) only to be given our check. We were not rude just frustrated by the end of our meal. Never will I go back!
Our meal Tasty, service was impeccable and the ambiance soothing!
This may have been our 30th meal here dating back to 2013-14 or so. Dinners, lunches and special occasions like New Years Eve.
Ryan Fancher was the chef for years. He was creative and the food was thrilling.
After his departure we thought the restaurant lost its way. Still a terrific atmosphere but the menu barely changed at all and execution was average.
There is a new chef now, who seems to be just getting started. Perhaps the Michelin star is a forward looking accolade—not sure. Based our our lunch yesterday improvement is still needed.
We had the staple of chase croquettes. These have been on the menu forever. They remain terrific.
The bucatini was homemade as advertised but was served lukewarm. The scampi, first time we tried, was good, but also barely above room temperature. The restaurant has replaced excellent Costeaux bread with something else and moved it from “e” to $10. Sorry, $10 for bread service is bogus especially when it isn’t home baked. Give me a break.
Cocktails remain a strong suit thigh they have increased in price by 25% over the past 15 months.
So, Barbdiva, please try harder.
It was our first time there and it couldn’t have been more perfect. We will be going back soon. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. We also appreciate the COVID safety measures they take.
Wonderful evening wining and dining at Barn Diva! Our host/server was excellent. Food was creative and delicious. Wine list was fantastic. Beautiful place to dine outdoors. They deserve their Michelin star.
Lovely gardens out back. A welcoming glass of champagne for our anniversary, great food and service
Lunch outside was delightful! Attentive wait staff, expertly delivered. Take care in how you order water. Bottled is $9.
Elegant, but not fussy - a fantastic version of the farm to table movement!
Wonderful food and great atmosphere
As always, a wonderful time at BarnDiva. We all enjoyed the specialty drinks and then we did our own "tasting menu", ordering lots of items, all to be shared. The highlight was the hamburger with fries. Our server Lynn is an outstanding server, just the right balance of friendliness and business, making sure we had everything we needed.
All was wonderful and we love Barndiva; a 4 star instead of 5 for food reflects the Wagyu beef. It was quite disappointing- chewy and lacking flavor. On the other hand the hamachi was extraordinary. The staff is exceptionally lovely and we will always return.
Quality food, service, ambiance, and cleanliness. Easy 5/5. Worth every single penny + tip. Staff were very welcoming and attentive to our table. I cannot recommend this place enough. Pick a date, make a reservation, and enjoy an evening of fine food, drinks, and hospitality. You will not regret it.
This is my favorite restaurant - great food, great team, beautiful setting!
Great food and great service! Always enjoy eating at Barndiva!
An interesting setting, with a good vibe. We had a good server and the apps and then entrees, came out pretty timely. The ice tea and lemonade were both good, but pricey!
We were a little put off at the end when the check came and they added 19% service charge, then telling us that the added charge was not a tip and we could leave a tip if we wanted to.
So plan on an additional 40% in addition to the food and beverage costs.
Food, service, beverages and ambiance stellar as always!
This was a very disappointing experience. BarnDiva has an attitude and is not customer friendly. I hope they are able to fix it. We used to enjoy it very much. At this point I would not recommend it.
Great food and wine. Pricey. Not the everyday eat out experience Good for a group. Attentive staff.
Beautiful spot. The indoor and outdoor space is great. Food was uneven and service was really bad, especially for the price. They need to level up the service for sure.
Creative, fresh and well-presented, delicious in an adventurous way, excellent and friendly service, lovely ambience. This was the best meal we've had in a couple of years. The goat cheese croquettes were amazing, the hamachi starter was perfect, the risotto and rigatoni perfect as well. Highly recommend the parfait as dessert.
Service was brilliant! We were welcomed by everyone from the hostess to our bus person! Our waitress was friendly, professional and efficient! Good was absolutely delicious!!
