Although pricy, excellent food and lovely ambiance. It was our best meal in Vegas this trip. Especially recommend the sushi canapé and the duck fried rice.
Awesome food and sake and service
I really enjoyed my meal here. The waiter's recommendations were excellent. I love the Japanese beer selection. It's pricey, but the experience is worth it. I only wish the tables weren't immobile. I would have liked to adjust the distance from the booth.
Lovely as usual
Very good food, plating could have been stepped up but overall a great exprience
Great food at reasonable (for Vegas) prices. Excellent service. Will definitely be back.
Paid about $240 (incl. alcohol, tax, and tip) for one (1) person - are mostly Nigiri items, an unagi roll, and Kumamoto oysters. Food was very good but nothing special. You'll find better sushi elsewhere. unagi roll with avocado was probably the best dish I had (thanks to server's recommendation). Really nothing special about the experience.
The worst part is I felt rushed. I made 9:45pm reservations - the last available for that night. Don't do it. Last call was about 10:15 - no problem - I got everything I wanted. At 10:30 in the middle of my meal, however, they suddenly turned on all the lights and stopped the music - dead silence. It went from a dimly lit room to a fully lighted room in a second - major pupil adjustment. I paid my bill and was out of there shortly after 10:45.
One hour. $240. Certainly it wasn't a special experience, no wow factor, just OK. I expected a little more at these prices than a rushed ho-hum experience.
Terrible. Mediocre food, small portions and hefty price tag. You can have one of those three qualities and I'm fine with that, but you can't have all three. I would never go here again.
Here for business and three of us went. Prices would have been fine if food and service quality were next level, sadly they just don't deliver.
very over priced and small portions. Service was very good, but food was average and very high priced.
We came here as a large group for my birthday. The staff was very knowledgeable and accommodating. We enjoyed every single bite. I was surprised there were not more people as it was very quiet and empty. This is such a hidden gem I hope more people realize that soon. I will definitely be back when in Vegas.
Good sushi but certainly way overpriced per its location in the Aria. When I went the place was pretty empty during dinner time, made obvious by the size of the dining area. The sushi was fresh and solid, but somewhat in line with many (but not all) of the top sushi places in say, New York. Service was very attentive. However, the price point certainly is quite high and the ambiance didn't quite match the dining experience one would expect for the large bill.
We have always wanted to eat at Barmasa after hearing great things from fellow foodies and we were not disapointed. We tried many of the dishes but there were some we didn't get to so we will be back
Loved the spaciousness and design of the restaurant. Wonderful, attentive, knowledgeable server. Food is on the pricey side, but the quality and presentation is superb, so it's worth it. We enjoyed everything we ordered, and will definitely go there again and again!
Fish was fresh but they were skimpy. After $400 worth of sushi, rolls and sashimi we were still hungry. Rolls were small and the chef did not do standards such as a rainbow roll. Over priced for what you get. Wait staff were attentive. Not crowded at all.
Excelllent sushi as well as the tartare and crudo.
I love bar Massa New York. I was hoping for similarity.
Dinner was phenomenal. Michael was our server and he created a multi-course meal that was fantastic. Great way to get outside of you comfort zone and try specialty dishes. $100/pp but I highly recommend doing this!
Excellent service excellent food. Ambiance not special and very high prices
Great waitress and manager. They made our nite. Don't lose them. Those ladies were wonderful!! They are smart, nice and professional.
I was a little concerned after reading some of the reviews, but it was New Years Eve and we didn't have reservations anywhere and this was one of the only restaurants we could get into, but it was absolutely PERFECT! We had the duck and the beef fried rice and they were amazing! I also had hot sake. The price was not too expensive and the ambiance was just right for a romanic dinner
Over priced food. Even for Vegas
This was our second time at Barmasa and the food is amazing. The sushi is outstanding and so fresh. The service is top notch and the ambiance is great for a large open format restaurant.
Sushi was below average especially compared to other sushi places in Las Vegas. Very disappointed in the overall food experience. Also, the price to food style was too high. I would not recommend BARMASA as a place to entertain customers or expect to have a great sushi experience. On a positive note, the lead server for our group of 20 people did a great job of making sure we were well taken care of.
Background of our meal:
Customer dinner event: 20 people
Ordering style: Chef's Choice, we let the Chef select the courses @$200.00 per person.
VERY disappointed in the offering. We got a lot of rice for $200.00 per person.
The food was outstanding, but the service was subpar and well below expectations for the price point. At times, the service was actually bad and mediocre at other times. In general, I think that the price is very high for the overall experience quality. Only the food meets expectations at this price level.
Had high expectations given the name and high prices, but was mostly disappointed w menu, food and lackluster service. Best dish was duck fried rice that had pieces of foie grois on top even though not listed on menu, went very well w miso eggplant. Sushi was fine but nothing special, had better in several spots nearby. Overall not a good value, and not the wow experience that I'm quite accustomed to in most any restaurant on strip.
The beef sukiyaki was amazing, the service was great.
Our server Michael was outstanding. Recommended an omakase selection that was delicious and suited our appetites perfectly.
The food here is amazing. I'd give it 6 stars if I could. Unfortunately the prices are very high, even for a high-end sushi joint. I'm not very price-sensitive when dining out in Vegas, yet I was a bit shocked. The PEKING DUCK WITH FOIE GRAS TACOS was unbelievable. We had to order a second one.
The food was delicious. We loved the variety. And our waitress Hannah was superb!
Los tacos de pato son una delicia
