Went here before st Patrick’s parade! Good spot!
Overall a nice experience. Had to send a plate back twice. It must be a part of their kitchen culture, but all the plates were cold. As a result none of the food was actually very hot; mostly just luke warm-ish.
The servers were super nice and the drinks were on point.
The service was a bit slow and the fish was way over cooked. The steak tips were pretty good but too much barbeque sauce on them.
My husband and I were visit from Upstate NY. We ordered the Big Papi pretzel which was huge and delicious. We also got the kielbasa appetizer and my husband ordered the burger which was just delicious and very juicy. We enjoyed our meal so very much.
I chose to have brunch here because of the Oreo & Reeses stack pancakes I saw advertised. Only to find out the menu has changed and they are no longer available.
Gps leads you to the back of the restaurant, no signage that you must go around for entrance. Short staff although the food came out fresh & fast.
Great spot, quiet. Older crowd. Great food
Hot food. Good service.
Service was great! Food was great! Location was close enough to walk from convention center. All around, great find!
Sunday brunch. Generous food and great corn beef hash dish. Small mimosa overpriced. Good service by waitress. Nicely restored warehouse look with hardwood floors big wooden beams and some modern elements. Bar ok for sports on tv but not a sports bar
Fantastic food, great service and a fun atmosphere. I can’t recommend this place enough.
No ambience, it felt like I was at Arby’s. This place has the potential to be very nice with some decorations. The menu is very limited and the server did not have any idea about any of the food items. The chicken sandwich was OK, but I was hoping for a little bit more upscale of a menu and environment to dine in.
The food was very good! And we got sat right away, but they need more servers. Other than that, excellent place for dinner!
Not a bad place. Good chicken club. Limited vegetarian options. Will try again, but other than being spacious with outdoor patio and great service, this place is just your basic “business lunch” place. I’m not sure about evening scene. It seems like a place that should be more like a neighborhood gem than a corporate hang out spot.
Outside dining great. Inside way too loud
The restaurant was very accommodating of our requests. The food was delicious, and the setting was perfect for a summer day.
The food supposedly not spicy was extremely spicy. Very poor service. 10min waiting for silverware. Nothing good!!
It was the first time dining at this restaurant. Our office recently moved to channel center. The outside patio is terrific. Wish I could say the same about the food and service
I ordered the shrimp tacos. Was stunned when the lunch finally arrived. There were two small tacos, filled with endless lettuce and huge chunks of avacado. The cook graciously put two small shrimp in each taco. And they were undercooked. They were quite generous with the fries, which were delicious. It’s insane for Barlow’s to charge $15 for four small shrimp. We will not return.
Food was ok.
The service was quite poor. Our waitress and not attentive. When we asked about our food which we had been waiting for almost an hour for, she just told us her tables were backed up. No apology or said she would go check on our order. Could have been she was just having a bad day. But the food was not worth the wait for worth the poor service. I ordered the eggs benedict with steak added. The steak had some type of sauce on it that was not compatible with the brunch theme. It was $7 to add it and I ended up just taking it off. The English muffin was also hard and burnt and eggs over cooked. I was excited to try this place but unfortunately, was very disappointed.
Mother's Day noon. Restaurant 80% full. Woefully understaffed: 3 total waitresses overwhelmed with tables, hostess was running around crazy doing 3 jobs, 0 busboys. Took 15 minutes to take our drink orders, another 15 till our drinks arrived (they didn't have clean glasses ready). Food took 30 mins. and had 3 mistakes. Never saw anyone who looked like manager the entire time we were there. How can you run a place with hardly any staff on Mother's Day?
Food took way too long to get to table. About an hour for 5 meals. Otherwise everything was great otherwise.
Went to mother’s day brunch. reservation was needed. people who came as walk-on had a long wait. there was only a few waitress working, after taking our order, the next time seeing her was giving us the bill. she was clearly over worked. Food was very good.
Went here on a rainy night after picking up a friend from Logan. Didnt park across the street, but near to a garage, so it wasnt a far walk. The Host was told our party was going to be late, but it wasnt busy at all. The only problem I had with this spot was the service. Our waitress didnt know what was going on, or let alone the food/beer list. Know your drinks if you want to be a waitress! After waiting at the airport for over an hour for my friend, we both needed a drink asap! The food was good tho, cant complain typical bar food. I wish there was better service, the host that helped should be on the floor getting tips, and make the waitress that nigh try to host, if thats even possible. Wouldnt go here again just wanted to try the food because saw it on social media page.
The food was very good. Very loud hard to talk and be heard.
Food was good - too much of it though - and change your website menu - not accurate and someone came thinking they could have chix waffles - but NOPE!!
It was ok experience, nothing special.
This was the worst dinner and drinks I've gotten in a long time. Bad service, took ages to help us and never came back to check on the food...left us to eat a steak with a butter knife. Our drinks tasted terrible, only go for beer or wine which they probably won't be able to mess up. Food was gross. I would NEVER go back here again. It's a real shame because it's a good location and a cool looking place inside. If they just hire some good bartenders and staff that have their act together that would be a great start. A new chef who uses higher quality foods would be good too. Good luck Barlow's, if you don't make some changes you will be out of business before you know it.
Staff was wonderful. Lobster roll was bad. One bite and I was like...put it down now! Lobster shouldn't be sweet. Manager handled it well. Comped the meal, offered us complimentary drinks. 26.00 for the scant amount of lobster was bad enough, come on, we live in New England, it's a bit of a gouge. Also, basement where bathrooms are smelled like a sewer.
Our waitress was great. My dinner reservations was for me and a friend to catch up and we did not feel rushed. The food was delicious! This restaurant is my hidden jewel.
Went to Barlow’s for a family gathering, reserved a table for 8. Food and service both top notch. Bar was great, drinks delicious, and the Big Papi pretzel worth waiting for! All diners at our table were impressed and satisfied. It was the day Tom Petty died and Barlow’s played TP songs all night. Loved that.
This was my second time dining here. On the first occasion we had some of the worst service I've ever received and I got double charged on my credit card. I was kindly issued a $30 dining gift card and returned to try again. The second time was subpar as well, as the oysters were not very good and tasted far from fresh, and the overall meal service and lack of a welcoming pleasant dining atmosphere persisted. 0-2.
We has a great brunch. Service and food was awesome. Will totally recommend.
Had the brunch there on Labor Day weekend and it was very good. Drinks were great, service was on point. Definite recommend, will return. Try the 'make your own omelette' with one of their iced coffee alcohol drinks.
nothing fancy, but good overall American food
Tried Barlow's for Sunday brunch and wouldn't repeat. Unfriendly wait staff who seemed to not want to be there. It wasn't busy yet our food took way to long to arrive. I ordered the Korean BBQ beef pizza because I thought it sounded unique. It was uniquely bad. Soupy vegetables and tough chunks of beefed poured on top of a pizza crust. Cold. Yuk.
Tasty food, great server, and both less hectic and less expensive than most places in the Seaport area!
Isabelle from Ireland was a delightful server. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience.
Great Sunday brunch the oatmeal blueberry pancakes are great with two eggs on the side and fantastic home fries
This spot is perfect if you are catching a flight out of Logan and want a bite on your way. It is about 15 minutes to Logan, yet located in a great Seaport neighborhood area. Really convenient.
We sat outside and the patio was beautiful, overlooking a small park, away from traffic. So very relaxing. High top tables with umbrellas allowed my husband shade and me sun. Our server was outstanding, fast with drinks, helpful with food ideas, very attentive.
Classic pub atmosphere with some outdoor patio seating. Food was good but a bit overpriced. Service was very slow even though it was a quiet night.
