Food was delicious. Beer selection definitely adequate. Large, fun place.
I was happy to try this University of Michigan Bar during the NCAA tournament. The bar is a lot more spacious that other U of M spots. Only downside was that there was an abbreviated Game Day menu with few options outside of a burger, nachos, or wings. I was craving some good Irish pub food (fish and chips!)
The one unisex toilet had its toilet seat ripped out and on the floor.
Food was horrible and service lacking. French dip roast beef was like shoe leather. Fried mac and cheese was from a frozen bag and chicken nuggets looked a weird dark brown color on half of the tenders. All of it tasted bad.
Visited on a Thursday night at around 7pm. I would say that this venue leans more towards being a bar than a restaurant, and was busy with the financial district after work crowd. This wasn’t an issue at all for us, but could be for someone wanting a more intimate venue.
We both ordered NY strip steaks with fries. I think they were around $25 each. I’ve eaten in some of the pricey steakhouses in the city (Keens, Old Homestead and Del Frisco’s) and for a fraction of the price of those places our meal didn’t disappoint. The low price here certainly didn’t mean low quality. If I have the urge for a steak next time I’m in the city I’ll be back here and save my self a couple of hundred dollars I’d have spent visiting one of the big names!
its a fun, load and energetic pub! great pub food and a great variety of beers and drinks.
Quick, tasty and good price. Had a quick dinner with pizza and veg. burger and were completely satisfied. Waiter was really nice guy:)
great back room with separate volume for the 3 tvs. great time!
fantastic burger, no fuss service, just off the train, great space, authentic, cozy, warm and inviting. Staff is very friendly, helpful, and service was excellent.
I made a reservation and the restaurant was CLOSED. So why did it accept my reservation? This reservation still appears in my "Past", but I sure didn't get the points. Sloppy.
My experience was terrible. I went for a birthday luncheon with a co-worker. Waited 50 minutes for our food even though I told the waiter we were in a rush. We ordered a burger, a wrap and an appetizer. The appetizer came out cold and we had to send it back. We ended up leaving because the food wasn't ready. The waiter was terrible and never came to let us know the problem of the delay. He didn't apologize. When we complained, he just said the food should be coming any minute. I will not visit this restaurant again.
Well done. Good food, good service, good downtown watering hole!
Always my working lunch favorite. Delicious menu all the way around.
Service was very slow for dinner. Had to wait forever just for the regular menu. Server also brought us the wrong beer we had ordered.
The food was Okay. I was disappointed because I was hoping for great food! The buffalo chicken mac and cheese was not that great. Nachos were good.
Very busy and lively, made it hard to have a discussion. Due to. E busy the service was quite slow
Food was good, good range of beers
More of a sports bar really with lots of TVs
Playoff game and you have one server for the whole place and dinner is not being served just apps? Not good enough
Took long time for our orders to be taken, when taken took a while for food and food to be honest was mediocre. I was mostly not impressed by the service. waiter deliver wrong food to my guest. Just wasn't an overall great experience.
The reuben sandwich was small and mediocre. How difficult is it to make a reuben sandwich?Service was virtually non-existent, which means we had to ask several times for everything we wanted, and then we waited forever for everything. We had to send back food that we had not ordered, then when the bill came, we were charged for it, and we had to explain that we had sent it back. For the second time, they failed to note that we had shown up for our reservation, so I did not get the Open Table points. In short, this place is a model of how not to run a restaurant if you want to stay in business.
Grilled seafood salad was fresh, filling, and delicious
I made a reservation several days in advance, confirmed the reservation and the restaurant still gave away my table. This was for a team dinner of 10 people that all arrived on time. We were stuck standing around a four person bar table. Eventually we were able to acquire a couple surrounding tables, but this was over the course of the next hour. This delayed our being able to eat as well as our opportunity to communicate effectively with each other. It's fine if you want to swing by and have a beer, but I would steer away from having a group outing here.
The food definitely surprised me. Was very enjoyable. Pretty normal looking space but not bad. Survive wasn't good waited a long time for anything we needed and waiters really don't seem to know what's going on on any of there tables or know much about what there selling. Also this is my 3rd time here and serves wasn't good for any of my visits
Watched the basketball tournament with some friends here on Saturday night. Great food and huge beer selection, and attentive service. The space is massive so you don't feel like you're crammed in- and there are plenty of TVs. Will definitely be back.
Barcleycorn is a vibrant fun addition to the Tribeca bar/restaurant scene
We will go back. The food and atmosphere were great. The hostess was a whole other story. She at first refused to seat us anywhere but near the door. The place was 90 percent empty but she claimed space was reserved at about 10 tables for the game which was 30 minutes away. After complaints to manager we were allowed to sit at one of the better tables. The hostess then to make things worse said to me that we will be made to leave at 120pm. I told her good luck with that. Our waiter and food were excellent and at the end of the meals the manager was understanding. The question is did the manager take action. Some people deserve to be part of the cities unemployment roster and this hostess is one of them
