The restaurant's signature Korean-style fried chicken dances across palates with the wholesome flavor of vegetarian-fed poultry free from hormones, antibiotics, or opinions about whether the egg preceded it. Awful. Food tasting blend. People not wearing masks behind the bar and employees started singing loud with friends who came to dine there ruining our experience.
Outstanding food. We both enjoyed the appetizer and entrees we ordered. First time dining here and the outdoor set up was nice for a beautiful night. The menu had a variety of different options along with a creative cocktail menu too. I will continue to go back just to try something different each time.
We were happy to find a place that didn’t charge over $20 for pancakes and thought there was something for everyone. One of us ordered avocado toast, but when we didn’t find the avocado for the vegan, we were told that the avocado actually was just the “sauce”... what? So they had to order to avocado separately as a surcharge. Tables are slanted bc of the pavement, but we worked around it... your phone might slide. Good service in general and the mimosas were good.
Reconnecting with family after a long and cold winter. The weather was good, and at last I was back at one of my favorite places, Barkogi. The food was fresh and delicious as always. Already looking forward to going back!
Terrible service. Extremely Long wait times and unwilling to do anything to reduce bill or make the issue better.
The food was not good. The restaurant did not live up to the rave reviews.
It was not open, I was turned away at the door.
Food is ok, price is great, not bad to stop in here once in a while...
We sat there for an hour for they told us that their stove wasn’t working. In the cooler and it was a business lunch We were then walking away with no food and then had to go eat somewhere else and no offer of a free lunch the next time.
Struggling to figure out if they want to be a bar or a restaurant and therefore the food not as good as it used to be. Service was attentive and prompt. Good if you want beers and bar bites
Food was okay but there were hundreds of fruit flies on the wall next to us making the experience not all that pleasant. I’m guessing there was a wine spill as the bugs were on the wine wall but it seemed as if none of the servers cared too much about the bug infestation.
Never will go there on a weekend night Again. We were outside which was at least a little quieter but still impossible to really talk.
My friend did not like the lemon pepper sauce she said it was too spicy to eat. My citrus honey was OK.
The portions were OK the price was good considering it was mid town.
Excellent happy hour menu.. good drink prices, and a ton of app choices.. I'll be back!
Amazing!! Best fried chicken ever!! Their lychee martini is unmatched! Just a wonderful place!
Amazing food! Such a unique and fun experience! Helpful employees as well.
Wayyyyy too loud.
Place too loud. Have to yell to chat at the table
I honestly can't vouch for the food because they wouldn't let us in! Even with a reservation, we couldn't get a table because my husband and I were with our 12 year old niece. They wanted all our ID's even thought we were hoping to just have dinner. I guess because it was after the St. Patricks day parade they just wanted people in drinking??? Such a weird experience. My niece was excited to try Korean food for the first time, but the bouncer at the door wouldn't even let us past the door. Seems weird for an eating establishment. Don't recommend.
I had not been there in a while but it’s good to know that their food is still as good as ever! Their Hot & Spicy Chicken Drumsticks were Fabulous!! A MUST Try!!!
If you are looking for a loud, expensive and tiny place - look no further. Met up with friends here and it was hard to hear what they were saying siting just across the table from them. The food was overpriced and honestly... not great.
I order the seafood pancake... and I couldn’t identify what seafood was in it. Even the calamari was over cooked. But at least the sangria was done right.
The price tag didn’t match the experience.
We ordered beef skews and Korean style fried chickens. The fried chickens were tender and well- seasoned. The service was good, and the waiters were attentive. The skews were overlooked, tasted like beef jerky. The place is good for casual gathering.
Korean fried chicken was awesome! Service was pretty slow for the amount of people that were there. Music was pretty cool but a little loud. Great place overall...
Wings, miso soup, bulgogi burger were fantastic. The rice cakes w ramen was terrible. Food was pretty expensive for street Korean food.
Over the past few years, BarKogi has been my "go-to" spot. I go there for a quick lunch with colleagues, or myself. I go there on weekends and after hours. The service is great and the food is delicious. You can go for a month and have something different every day. I look forward to the next time I'm there!
Small venue slow service one baretender to service entire establishment . Took order never saw again until bill with tip inclided with bill. I placed otdrer for a small order waitrrss/ bartender changed my order to a more expensive option of a larger portion . I wasn't that hungry so i wasn't able to consume food ordered overall not pleasant experience
Nice waitress. Good Korean fried chicken.
We actually didn't end up eating at this restaurant. While we were waiting for our food, we saw bugs all over the wall. I don't know what type of bugs but they looked like very large fruit flies. I got sick to my stomach at the sight and we decided to leave.
It’s my go to place and haven’t been in over 7 maybe even 8 months. It was good to go and connect with colleagues and the service and food were great as always.
The food was AMAZING. And the drinks are great (try the New York Lemonade). I would definitely come back.
No AC. They avocado toast was a half of sliced brown avocado on a cold burger bun. It was disgustingly pathetic. The waitress was nasty and the menu on open table was totally different then their offered brunch menu. She was so rude and cold and couldn’t answer our questions. I will never step foot in there again
Good food . Music Too loud
Ordered beers. Waitress forgot the order. Then brought one beer but told that out of others. Changed the order. They were out of the selection too. Changed the order again. Only 1 out of 3 arrived. Took four tried to get that sorted out. Music way too loud. When asked to lower the volume so could have a conversation was told it was not a fancy French place to converse! Some food arrived. Some did not. Had to ask several times. One dish was forgotten. We paid the check and left early although to be fair the manager comped us for beers and the missing dish. The latter arrived as we were leaving but were told to take it with us as a take out, no matter. Will take out as food is good if pricey. Forget dinning with friends.
Really great food such as BBQ, fried chicken, etc. Love going there!
The staff forgot to put in two big pieces of our order. Then we had to wait 20 minutes for them both. Maybe Sunday isn’t a night to go because of a short staff in the kitchen? The waiter didn’t even follow up, we had to ask him about it. We were just a quiet table and I couldn’t recommend eating here again.
Nice ambiance, the food was delicious and piping hot, and the service was attentive and efficient. My first time there and I will be back again soon!
Love Barkogi! Food is awesome, wait staff is very attentive.
Crazy stuff on the tv but overall fun and delicious. Have been 3 times and will continue to go!
My family and I had good experience in the past with Barkogi- great food and great service. However, we were quite disappointed last Thursday when our favorite dish of ribs with bone-in was served partially burned. We asked that such be replaced as it was really bitter when we made an effort to eat it. The restaurant told us such dish would take another half an hour to cook. So, they recommended another dish that can be prepared quickly. We said okey but was disappointed to find out that the replacement which was served in a sizzling dish was quickly getting burnt as it was being served to us. We made a futile attempt to save the dish by scooping it out of the hot plate and made suggestion to the waiter to tell the chef to partially cook the dish next time so it will be fully cooked by the time it reaches the table as the plate is still hot. Are we going back there? Yes, as their fried drumsticks chicken in soy garlic flavor is great. We are hoping last Thursday experience was just a fluke and not to be repeated.
Barkogi Serves Unqiue Korean Fusion
We lunched at Barkogi after seeing its unique Korean menu online. It is a Korean Gastro Pub with sports playing on its projector screen TVs. Where else can you have Guinness with Korean BBQ. The food was American with a Korean twist. We ate tasty fried soy garlic Korean chicken wings which had a crunchy batter and seasoned taste. It was all natural organic raised chicken. A medium cooked short rib Bulgogi burger was also delicious and had succulent char-broiled juices from the marinated short ribs.
The host who greeted us was more concerned with his smartphone that the customers. He did not ask us if we had reservations so he did not note that we had made reservations with OpenTable. So, when we got back to the office, OpenTable had sent us a note to ask why we NoShowed. Although the food was good, the service by the staff was just as indifferent as the greeter.
The food was terrible. We complained about one of the dishes and the waiter's response was that it was supposed to taste that way.
