Bareli's Restaurant - Secaucus Ratings and Reviews
Food was very good. Table moved every time a truck crossed in front of the building. Waiter kept highlighting everything that was extra $, clearly we must have not been wealthy enough for their taste. Saddest part is that we did spend a large sum (cocktails, appetizers, dinner, side plates, and desserts) and were willing to have a longer dinner if it wasn't for the uncalled for highlights.
Fantastic! There was live music - what an amazing voice! The butternut squash ravioli were amazing. Liam, the manager, was so welcoming and friendly. Lauren, the bartender, was also welcoming, friendly, fast, attentive. She was so great, we passed on our reserved table to hang out at the bar. When I reserved on opentable, they asked if we were celebrating a birthday - after dinner they came out with a spectacular fireworks cake for my husband! They went above and beyond the whole night to make a special night for us.
The food was delicious from the appetizers to my main course... my friends had the pasta and loved it I️ enjoyed the pork chop and ended up taking half of it home because it was a nice size portion and we enjoyed so many appetizers I️ was full. They had a small jazz style band playing which added to the great atmosphere of the restaurant.
I took my girlfriend here for our anniversary dinner and the staff was incredible. From their outstanding knowledge of the menu to making our night special by giving us the spotlight without even asking. The staff came out with a complimentary dessert for my lady and I as little anniversary gift and that meant the world to us it was so thoughtful. We would definitely return for another date to continue trying the menu.
I was born and raised in the Garden State and decided since I was back on business I needed some good, old fashioned, Italian food. I looked on Open Table and Bareli's came up first. It did not disappoint! What a lively place on a Saturday night! You better go through Open Table and make a reservation as it is standing room only. Great live music with a gentleman that played a lot of oldies, tremendous bartender, good menu and great food! I went old school and had the veal milanese with a side of rigatoni and ricotta...c'mon now! I paired it with their house chianti, which was also very good. People watching was the highlight of my night though as I was dining alone. So many lively and friendly people sitting at the bar. Two TVs for your viewing pleasure too. No matter what you're in the mood for, this place has it and it's delicious (as I was nosey and watched every dish that came out of the kitchen). GO!
Barelis has been my go to spot for the last 4 years. You would think since they opened the other location it would have affected Secaucus. A lot of the regular people have been in Spring Lake. I have to say it didn't miss a beat. Food and service as is as good as it always has been.
This was by far the best meal I have ever eaten. I had the eggplant parmesan for an appetizer, a vegetarian pasta with roasted cauliflower for my entree, and a pistachio cannoli for dessert. The owner was warm and attentive, the service was impeccable, and the music was an excellent touch. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Was in the area visiting for work, and wish I lived closer.
Excellent food and service. You will not find a better Italian meal. Each meal served is as if it were created with you in mind. The minute you walk into Bareli's, you know you entered a very special place. The bar area is great to meet friends and have a few cocktails before sitting down to dinner. The entire staff makes you feel you are the most important person there. The various entrees will not disappoint anyone. A great place to take anyone and is very impressive for those who enter for the first time. Bareli's is great for an intimate dinner or a group meeting. There is no sacrifice on the quality of the food, regardless of the size of the dinner party. Highly recommend!!
After several visits this has become a favorite. The only real negative is that the noise level is sometimes too great and this precludes reasonable conversation. The singer in the bar sometimes is very annoying to me and my dining fiends. I wonder if there could be some sepatation between the bar and the dining room although I am aware of your space limitations.
I shall, howerver , continue to visit Barelli's.
Very friendly welcoming experience. Everyone from the valet who parked my car to the wait staff and bar tender were really very good and welcoming. Staff was attentive but alert enough to know it was a business meeting and the right time to get involved. Good wax really good. Overall very good experience.
