Went for a birthday dinner everything was perfect great food great setting waiter was awaome deffinetly will be returning
Everything was great.
It was our anniversary. The service was great but the food was bland. And very expensive
So I've been here before and loved it. This time I felt underwhelmed. Setting is very nice. Service is superlative. Our meals were good, but not great. The popovers are to die for - undeniably delicious! The oysters were very good. What turned me off was the Alaskan King Crab appetizer. It was 2 small pieces of King Crab - maybe a total of 9 inches for $29.00! Seriously? I was actually offended by this offering and felt foolish. Our steaks and sides were very good. I don't mind spending $$ on a great meal - I just can't believe the King Crab price for what we received!!
I came there for my 30th birthday, it was what I expected and more.. I’ll certainly come again.
I dine out for business often. I have been to every steakhouse in Philly and BP is the best. It’s all about the quality of the beef and the way it is expertly prepared. Some Philly steakhouses seem to have forgotten the basics.
Yes, you will pay. My only ding on BP (and most great steakhouses) is the mark-up on some bottles of really good wine - but the wine list is extensive and includes good selections by the glass if you don’t want to splurge.
Our service was terrific.
Will be back many times.
Fabulous food and service. We had a great time. A little sticker shock on the final bill, but worth it.
A5 Wagyu Strip 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
We called minutes before our reservation at 5:30 letting them know we were running late and arrived before 6PM (the Valet was confusing, as you need to leave the car at the Park restaurant, causing us to circulate the block during rush hour to figure it out - valet took a while to appear so we split-up to get to the reservation desk as quickly as possible). They were having trouble finding a seat within the restaurant proper due to our arrival time, but they easily sat us at the Lounge, opposite the bar & entry. We much preferred this, as the ambiance is much nicer and romantic: there’s better lighting (odd orange/pink glow within restaurant making food & people look strange), better ambient temperature (40 degrees outside, yet warm enough for me to shed my jacket; the restaurant area was much icier - my food would have gotten cold before I’d been done consuming it; and, most importantly, was the sound level - way too noisy in restaurant area (volume increases proportionately as evening increases). We’d specifically requested the quietest seating location available, as one of us has hearing loss in one ear. The Lounge was perfection for our needs, conversation was easy without straining to hear/be heard.
The corking fee for a large bottle is $35. We started w/tuna tartar & scallops. They were scrumptious (& waitstaff is impeccably trained to handle shellfish allergies). We split a wedge salad (followed waiter’s recommendation of trying their standard dressing, which combines Russian and blue cheese dressing, creating the perfect tanginess. We both had dry aged steaks - ribeye & NY strip (the 40 day aged choice) paired with jumbo asparagus & Kennet Square mushrooms. Ribeye & mushrooms were superb; NY strip was not as tasty as the ribeye, but that’s my mistake for selecting that cut. Asparagus was essentially tasteless.
Barclay Prime (Lounge & accompanying waitstaff) made our 5th wedding anniversary a special occasion, right down to the special sweet!
One of the best meals I’ve ever had. The tuna tartare, filet, and rocky road brownie were fantastic! The experience was enhanced with fabulous service from Jessica. Will definitely return
we were not seated until almost 8 pm eventhough we had reservation at 7:30. We ordered steaks and were as cool as room temperature. The service was not as great as I have seen it.
Had a great experience. My wife and I celebrated our fourth anniversary. Thank you to everyone who made our night special!
Food was outstanding and the service was right on par with the food! Very knowledgeable about the menu, wines and drinks. They made our anniversary very special.
Food was fantastic. Service was nice. Was friendly and fancy at the same time.
Tomahawk steak was great. We also had a tuna tartare and I have to say I won't recommend that. The quality of tuna wasn’t so good.
The service and the food were outstanding I would definitely eat here again
Hands down best food in philly.
It started out great as we were greeted. Our server was average not as good as other servers from their other restaurants. The food was very good.
The service was impeccable and the steak was to die for. Great cocktails. I'll be back.
Staff was super friendly , our waiter was awesome. Food was delicious best steak I had so far.
Phenomenal food, ambience, and service. It was our first time there for my husband's birthday and they made it special. Definitely want to go back again!
Barclay Prime to me is the best restaurant in the city
Beautiful restaurant but several people in our party order to the buttered lobster and it was overdone.
Great food, great service!
This is the best steak house in Philadelphia (by a mile) and probably for 100 miles in any direction too. The service is unparalleled, the food is perfect every time, and the atmosphere is warm and refined.
I did not expect to love this place like I did. The price is high but the quality backs it up. The bread is to die for! I would definitely return.
Matthew and Ed were fabulous. My girlfriend and I were treated like royalty from the front door. Could be our new favorite spot in Philadelphia. It was an impeccable experience.
We enjoyed a wonderful Easter dinner at Barclay Prime. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. A good time was had by all!
The food was tasty. The lobster bisque was filling and delectable. The bread poppers went well with the soup. My lamb chops were undercooked (I ordered it medium-well and got medium/rare in center). Once it was heated through, it was delicious. Unfortunately, I had already tried to eat through most of it before I saw another server. My husband's porterhouse was great. The Smores creme brulee was good, but the deep dish cookie dessert was not cooked through all the way. It was gummy and I couldn't enjoy it the way I wanted. Mac and cheese and fried cauliflower were great! The service was top-notch initially. I just didn't see my server for a long while after the meal was served. No one came by to check to see if the meal was prepared properly for us. All in all, we were celebrating a birthday, so I made it work.
We had a wonderful experience! Thank you to our server, Eric who really made us feel special!
It’s absolutely wonderful. Eric is awesome. I love this place!
Excellent waiter, had detailed knowledge of menu, made great suggestions. Wagyu was fabulous; sea bass perfectly cooked
For the money you are paying the noise level was very loud.
Excellent steak, wine, and service. Bisque and grstun potatoes not great.
Wonderful food and experience
Outstanding service, excellent food, always exceeds expectations.
Service and food was wonderful.
Magnificent A5 steak. Hands down, one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. Ambience and wait staff were very nice as well.
