Every aspect of the experience was amazing! We tried the Wagyu Philly Cheesesteak for an appetizer and it was off the charts!!
I went to Ocean Prime and the food was amazing so I thought this would be just as good or better and I was diappointed. I felt like the outside of my steak was burnt.
We had the wagyu sliders and Caesar salad as an app. The sliders were out of this world. For dinner we each got filet with the macaroni and cheese (a must get!) and jumbo steamed asparagus. Overall we really enjoyed our dinner, it was a perfect night out/date night.
Overall very impressed by the place, def worth its fame and price tag
Great meal to celebrate college graduation. The waiter was attentive and you were not rushed out to get the next patron in. Tables are a little too close for my liking ... but since we ate early we didn't feel like a sardine jammed in a room.
Service and food was amazing!
Food and service was amazing. We had a party of 8 and they could not say enough about the meal. Thank you, I would highly recommend this restaurant.
The food and service was outstanding. The bread and sides added a great deal to the meal.
Excellent meal great service and attention to detail
We definitely will go back
Enjoyed the evening
Good food, extremely loud. Decent value. Could have more inexpensive drink options.
Another perfect dinner. My favorite restaurant in Philly!!!! Food is always outstanding. . Alhemry is an amazing bartender. He serves his perfect cocktail with black gloves. First class all the way.
Jim was our server tonight, loved him. Can’t wait to come back.
Best restaurant in Philadelphia. Food server was amazing. Dover Sole was to die for. The coconut cheese cake is the best ever.
This restaurant is a must-go-to if you are looking for a premium dinner with a friend, date, or whatever. The steaks were very good, and cooked exactly to our taste (which doesn't happen as much in restaurants like this as I would like). We were there on a Wednesday night, and their sommelier was not there, so we got their assistant sommelier (they must sell a lot of wine to have an assistant). She was not as knowledgeable or confident as I would expect for this type of restaurant, however, we were able to get an amazing bottle of wine (the first one was okay) out of the two we drank. Our server was good, but not stellar. There were a few times we had to wait for her to come back to ask for things. I am a very detailed and experienced restaurant eater, so a restaurant of this level would usually be given 3 stars from me if it was just average. Saying that, I don't regret the amount paid for this dinner and hope to go back soon. Oh, and we are very picky about how our cocktails are made. This bartender did my Gibson perfectly!
Very nice dinner, as usual. We meet the same couple about four times a year in Philadelphia, and Barclay prime was their favorite so far. We’ve been to Parc, Lacroix, and Davios. This was the best! Thanks so much.
Went on a Saturday night. Even though we were running about 15 minutes late due to Penn Relay traffic, I called and the hostess was very accommodating. Our waitress Tara was super special. Very knowledgeable about the menus and recommended a couple of great drinks to my wife and daughter. My daughter just moved to Philly and is looking for another apartment. Tara promised to give some recommendations before we left. She got really busy and couldn't make the time to do so. Instead, she gave my daughter her cell number and told her to call her!! Who does that? Little things like that are special. We love Tara. Everything we had was spectacular. Food, drinks, wine, and desert. Great atmosphere. Elegant without being stuffy at all. Tara’s service put the experience over the top.
The best, the service is superb the food is always delicious
Amazing dinner! Everything was phenomenal from the food, service, ambiance & the extensive wine list. And those comfortable chairs! We will definitely be back!
Our waiter was unbelievable. Service was great. Tomahawk ribeye was superb.
Went for a birthday dinner everything was perfect great food great setting waiter was awaome deffinetly will be returning
This was our second time there and the food and presentation were wonderful, the ambiance elegant. We had the same waitress as a year ago and she was very good, as before.
Everything was great.
It was our anniversary. The service was great but the food was bland. And very expensive
So I've been here before and loved it. This time I felt underwhelmed. Setting is very nice. Service is superlative. Our meals were good, but not great. The popovers are to die for - undeniably delicious! The oysters were very good. What turned me off was the Alaskan King Crab appetizer. It was 2 small pieces of King Crab - maybe a total of 9 inches for $29.00! Seriously? I was actually offended by this offering and felt foolish. Our steaks and sides were very good. I don't mind spending $$ on a great meal - I just can't believe the King Crab price for what we received!!
I came there for my 30th birthday, it was what I expected and more.. I’ll certainly come again.
I dine out for business often. I have been to every steakhouse in Philly and BP is the best. It’s all about the quality of the beef and the way it is expertly prepared. Some Philly steakhouses seem to have forgotten the basics.
Yes, you will pay. My only ding on BP (and most great steakhouses) is the mark-up on some bottles of really good wine - but the wine list is extensive and includes good selections by the glass if you don’t want to splurge.
Our service was terrific.
Will be back many times.
Fabulous food and service. We had a great time. A little sticker shock on the final bill, but worth it.
A5 Wagyu Strip 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
We called minutes before our reservation at 5:30 letting them know we were running late and arrived before 6PM (the Valet was confusing, as you need to leave the car at the Park restaurant, causing us to circulate the block during rush hour to figure it out - valet took a while to appear so we split-up to get to the reservation desk as quickly as possible). They were having trouble finding a seat within the restaurant proper due to our arrival time, but they easily sat us at the Lounge, opposite the bar & entry. We much preferred this, as the ambiance is much nicer and romantic: there’s better lighting (odd orange/pink glow within restaurant making food & people look strange), better ambient temperature (40 degrees outside, yet warm enough for me to shed my jacket; the restaurant area was much icier - my food would have gotten cold before I’d been done consuming it; and, most importantly, was the sound level - way too noisy in restaurant area (volume increases proportionately as evening increases). We’d specifically requested the quietest seating location available, as one of us has hearing loss in one ear. The Lounge was perfection for our needs, conversation was easy without straining to hear/be heard.
The corking fee for a large bottle is $35. We started w/tuna tartar & scallops. They were scrumptious (& waitstaff is impeccably trained to handle shellfish allergies). We split a wedge salad (followed waiter’s recommendation of trying their standard dressing, which combines Russian and blue cheese dressing, creating the perfect tanginess. We both had dry aged steaks - ribeye & NY strip (the 40 day aged choice) paired with jumbo asparagus & Kennet Square mushrooms. Ribeye & mushrooms were superb; NY strip was not as tasty as the ribeye, but that’s my mistake for selecting that cut. Asparagus was essentially tasteless.
Barclay Prime (Lounge & accompanying waitstaff) made our 5th wedding anniversary a special occasion, right down to the special sweet!
One of the best meals I’ve ever had. The tuna tartare, filet, and rocky road brownie were fantastic! The experience was enhanced with fabulous service from Jessica. Will definitely return
we were not seated until almost 8 pm eventhough we had reservation at 7:30. We ordered steaks and were as cool as room temperature. The service was not as great as I have seen it.
Had a great experience. My wife and I celebrated our fourth anniversary. Thank you to everyone who made our night special!
Food was outstanding and the service was right on par with the food! Very knowledgeable about the menu, wines and drinks. They made our anniversary very special.
Food was fantastic. Service was nice. Was friendly and fancy at the same time.
Tomahawk steak was great. We also had a tuna tartare and I have to say I won't recommend that. The quality of tuna wasn’t so good.
The service and the food were outstanding I would definitely eat here again
Hands down best food in philly.
It started out great as we were greeted. Our server was average not as good as other servers from their other restaurants. The food was very good.
The service was impeccable and the steak was to die for. Great cocktails. I'll be back.
Staff was super friendly , our waiter was awesome. Food was delicious best steak I had so far.
