We had a great lunch at Barcha! The food and service were amazing. The chicken croquettes were delicious! We both had different salads, one with grilled shrimp and one with salmon, both were excellent. I will definitely go back again.
Appetizers were very good; beef dumpling and octopus.
The main dishes are expensive but very tasty. A nice place for also drinks and appetizers only.
Food was good. I kind of felt like a sardine though as it was very crowded but probably because the food is so good.
Service was horrible! Food was great.
We apologize that our service was not up to par. Please ask for a manager next time you visit. We hope to make it up to you soon. Thanks, again. Chrissy
Birthday lunch for coworker
Been here before and had great experiences. This time, however, I brought a business colleague here for lunch and it was a disaster. I had a 12:45m reservation outside and checked in 30 mins early. I checked in a few more times and they kept putting me off. Finally I checked in again at 12:48 and the woman acted like she had never seen me and was going to seat us at the bar. I put my foot and said no. They seated outside. We ordered. 30 minutes after we had put in our food order they brought me my two small plates and not my friend’s. We waited and another 10 minutes passed when they came out to tell us they couldn’t bring his dish because they ran out of rice. ????? He ordered the chicken wrap sandwich no onions. And they immediately brought out his dish full of onions. They finally brought him his dish at least 50 minutes I to our wait. Embarrassing.
We are so sorry to hear that you had such a negative experience on your last visit. We will address each issue that you mentioned with our staff and do our best to not let these mistakes happen again. Please ask for the manager next time you stop by, so that we can make sure your experience is up to our standards. Thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed to review. We hope to make it up to you soon. Thanks, again, Chrissy
I would say YES only to the food. Service was bad. Apparently we need to asked 4 times to get our water refilled. And one of our order was missing (i totally forgot to check my bill at the end. but is ok)
One of my favorite places for Mediterranean food! I always leave this spot with a smile on my face and a belly full of food.
The food was good and the ambience was very cheerful and beautiful. The server was hard to find and also had a attitude.
I've been to Barcha quite a few times since it opened and have always been impressed by the food and service. I have to admit though that I do know the owners and some of the staff so I'm a bit jaded. The only problem at this last visit was that there was a bit of confusion on what I ordered. I don't think my server explained the dish well, or I just didn't quite understand so I was a bit disappointed. Nevertheless, I will eat there again and highly recommend it. It's always busy and is a neighborhood favorite so lunch reservations are highly recommended.
Thank god it was a business meal. I am shocked they are charging $24 for a fried rice that is just a little above average quality.
It was quite loud and cold outside. We were slightly too far away from the heat lamp.
The food was okay but for the money, not what it could be. I ordered the spicy chicken wrap and it had more lettuce than meat. For $22 dollars, I think that it should have been a lot more substantial. It was like eating a lettuce sandwich.
The rice dish looked like it was missing something. Just some shaved lamb over a bed of saffron rice- could have made the presentation a bit nicer.
Hummus was very tasty- the best thing they have going.
Great - environment perfect for casual meets and dates. Happy hour multi plate is the way to go.
Excellent Mediterranean food, good outdoor seating area, vegan options available
The food was excellent and the service was great. My one negative is that it was so loud it was very difficult to talk to my companions. We went during lunch and it was packed, which obviously contributed to the noise level. Even with the noise, I'd happily return - the food was that good.
Service was slow and I had to talk with the reception about being seated (had a reservation for 4) and then talk with the manager twice, once to get some water brought to the table (waited about 10 mins before that service) and secondly about the long wait for our food. He was apologetic and discounted our bill, but makes me think twice about making reservations for this place again. I will say the food is great!
As a returning guest, I love the ambience, but even more so the food. Staff are attentive, professional, and friendly. (Thanks Kevin!)
The owner, Kais Bouzidi was present, introduced himself, and upon learning that the Turkish Manti is my favorite, sent over a Crispy Morracan Briwat for me to try. Delicious.
The passion for serving good food with quality service in a beautiful setting is obvious.
Love the food, great non-traditional flavors, light. My only complaint is the wine glass. We ordered a bottle of nice wine and the waiter was about to pour it into these water glasses set on the table prior to us sitting down at our table. This is the second time it happened to me. I had to stop him and he immediately knew what my comment would be about. He withdrew with the bottle and said he’d be back with wine glasses on stems. If they know that this is a problem for their customers why not do it right the first time around with proper wine glasses? Despite this hiccup, I love the place.
I come here either for business meetings, birthdays or friends get together. Food is good, nice service.
Great place to take friends. Beautiful layout of the plate. Loved the food. Server very pleasant. My friend’s first time & she loved it. I would come back anytime.
Energized restaurant filled with young professional during lunch. Challenging to hold a conversation due to the noise level. I had the orzo salad -- and it was ok. Pretty oily and not overly flavorful. Missing something -- salt? a feta-type cheese? I also had the mint tea -- loads of fresh mint -- but not incorporated in the flavor of the tea. Pretty bland flavor wise. I think I would have been charged for a refill of the ice tea -- which seemed pricey for what it was. A reasonable looking menu can result in a pricey lunch by the nickel & dime way the menu works.
Great food, service and atmosphere. Busy place for lunch but perfect for a lunch with a client.
Hostess staff needs some help though - tried to sell us on a makeshift table outside of the outdoor restaurant area (two tables against a wall - lol.
Best! Delicious great quality food and beautiful restaurant!
Amazing in all categories.
Must return on our next trip to San Francisco!
PLEASE come to Scottsdale and open a Barcha here! 🙏
All the food we had at Barcha was delicious and the service was outstanding. I had the Kale salad with a salmon kabob. The salmon was perfectly cooked and seasoned wonderfully. We also had the Hummus appetizer with Turkish flatbread. The flatbread was excellent and a great compliment to the Hummus. I would definitely return to Barcha.
We loved the food and our server was excellent!! And the hostess kindly put us at a 4-top so we could sit side by side and hear ourselves. The noise level was that high. But outstanding food and cocktails. Could stand to a add another sparkling wine or two (by the glass).
So delicious and fabulous service.
It was to celebrate an upcoming birth for a coworker during lunch hour. The service was good, food great but very loud.
Our waiter was excellent, so pleasant and accommodating to my client’s food allergies.
The food arrived quickly and was delicious. Service was impeccable. Thank you!
Great lunch spot in the financial district. Fun atmosphere especially the outdoor seating. Food was really good and a great value.
It wasn't "energetic", it was loud,. I wouldn't recommend it as a place to have a conversation over dinner.
Some of the menu was good (hummas, octupus, beer), but some was not soooo good (seabass). It is a dark and noisy setting. The service was good, but the rest was fair at best. Spend your $150 (for two) elsewhere.
Great Mediterranean food, but very loud. Not a place to go if you want to have a quiet conversation!
Puzzling because while we were there, Open Table noted that our reservations were cancelled by the restaurant. Nice place, especially after office workers went home...so we closed the place about ten pm
As wonderful as the food and ambience are, it is the management and service at Barcha that make it such an amazing place.
I was not super happy about my expensive lunch at Barcha. I thought I was ordering salmon with a side of potato, and what arrived was a very small portion of salmon in a pita-type bread, rolled up, with red onions, lettuce and a sauce of some sort. While the salmon was cooked well, the side of new potatoes with a sandwich was quite odd, and the $22.00 price tag for this odd sandwich plate was disconcerting and didn't seem right. Even more odd, the food was served on a cookie-sheet/tray, rather than a plate. All in all, I will likely NOT go back, even though the place is close to my work - the menu was far too limited, sadly, (and none too clear). Definitely "one thumb up, one thumb down".
Food was good. Service was friendly and attentive. It’s a good place to go on an expense account- not a great value for the price.
too much sauce per dish and did not seem as fresh as usual or perhaps it was the dishes we chose. thank you
