Booked a res at Barcha due to high ratings and being able to reunite with a dear friend I haven't seen in a while. We had lots to catch up. Barcha's happy hour and ambience outside under heat lamps was a perfect setting. The happy hour menu was delicious, well-valued and the service was on point. We will be coming back.
Food and service is consistently good. Always a great lunch spot for customers and colleagues.
The food was excellent - I had a toasted orzo salad for lunch with lamb shwarma. This was the best Mediterranean salad I've ever had in San Francisco. The staffs were friendly and accommodated our last minute request to add one more person to the reservation. We were seated outside, so it was quite busy/noisy, but that was not a deal breaker. I would definitely return.
Barcha is a stylish restaurant with delicious Mediterranean-inspired food. Loved the octopus! However. The tables are very crowded and the restaurant is quite noisy. The night we visited, there was a private party as well, which didn’t help noise-wise. Not a great place for conversation. Solid choice food-wise, but maybe not for a date.
Great spot. Very happy to have them in the neighborhood. Could have had better service but that just SF and otherwise fantastic.
My first trip to Barcha for date night was so amazing, I was back 10 days later for a business meeting. Can't rave enough about the magic of this place. Food and ambiance are both so "yummy," and the team is extraordinary. Our waitperson, Courtney, described one cocktail, then shared: "it will transport you to Zanzibar." Barcha is an experience at every turn and transported me to a huge fan. Bravo!
It was noisy inside so we sat outside under the heaters which worked out great.
Great place to grab a bite to eat. Food is always so delicious with a great ambience.
Excellent menu choices of healthy, well-seasoned foods. Excellent service and attentive waiter.
Very average food with an inflated price tag. Cocktails were enjoyable.
We had dinner outside and it was quiet. We had manti lamb meatballs and muhammara. All amazing. We were full. Happy hour cocktails $10 total price $40/person
Good food, great service. Inside was too loud so we ended up at one of the outdoor tables.
I ordered chopped salad with salmon. This is a nice place to have a quick lunch with coworkers. It’s not too loud inside.
This is a great place.
I look at the reviews and see so many vindictive people that are impatients, self centered and not able to be mindful and get upsets when they break the rules ( no show or cancel last minute...).
You don’t get your money back when you buy any concerts or events tickets!
If you are respectful and remind yourself that their team work hard to serve such quality food with such a volume and not only think about yourself when you are hungry and cranky ( like the some disrespectful guests on Yelp) then you can appreciate the amazing job they do.
And if you have the guts to write a review about pricing that mean you shouldn’t eat out all the time when you cannot afford it, pricing it’s subjective to what you make especially in the middle of the financial district.
I love this place and what they do, it’s time they open in L.A and New York!!!
PS: YELP...get rid of subjective review like prices or complainers after they break the rules. That’s not what the platform suppose to be about!
A little slow for large groups
Very noisy, but delicious food, good ambience, variety of seating types. I'll definitely go back for business lunches.
Yum. For Mid-east Mediterranean fusion, Barcha rocks it. Every aspect of the experience has been thoughtfully prepared to entice and please. Everyone should go at least once; no, more than once.
Great service and menu options for a casual business meeting.
Barcha was amazing. We had a great date night — the food was delicious, the drinks were amazing, and the service was wonderful.
Valentines Day. Food and experience were excellent.
Food was good, service excellent, only criticism is that the set menu on Valentine's day included huge portions - would have preferred to order several small plates instead
Overpriced Valentines Day fix price menu. Slow service. Added an 18% service charge on top.
Another great meal at Barcha! It’s noisy but the food is great every time. The staff is wonderful too!
Love the food, love the location and service. You can have a conversation without yelling or needing to talk louder than the people next to you.
The quality of the food was superb but the price was on the expensive side for the type of food.
Good but pricey.
Concept is good but outside was too cold even with the heaters as they only help the tables just below the heaters so other outside tables freezing. Food was simple but tasty. Service outside was slow as seemed focused inside. 25 minutes just to get the drinks and 15 minutes more before food came and simple salads and sandwiches.
Delicious food and drinks, great service, but very noisy at peak lunch time. Would go back for sure.
Not much vegan or veg options. The menu was different for dinner than what is listed in the website. I would not recommend this place for people who would prefer vegan or veg options.
Excellent food and well judged service. A little noisy, but not too much. Tapas dishes were all great and lamb entree the standout. Very good indeed.
Many positive points, including most importantly the food - delicious! Not quite 5 stars on the service (our server was super pleasant, however she was so busy she was unable to check on us even one time after the food arrived, and we had to flag her down to get the check). Also, the seating was odd that they put us at the very front table next to the hostess station when we had an 11:30 reservation and arrived on time. Would have been nice to be a bit further into the restaurant so we could see the whole place and get the vibe, and also not be so close to the cold air from the door, as well as the envious eyes of those waiting for a table :)
Food is terrible. We let them know that and they did nothing about it.
Nice spot in SoMa. Great service. Good wine. I had a glass of the Spanish Tempranillo. I don’t have much experience with Tempranillo but thought it tasted great.
I ordered the Kale Caesar, Octopus and Turkish dumplings “Mezze” small plates
Octopus was Ok (chewy), dumplings were excellent, salad was very good.
My husband ordered the Duck Confit entree and loved it.
I made a reservation but there were a lot of empty tables. Seemed slow for a Saturday night in San Francisco. Still we were happy and would recommend this place to a friend.
Very overpriced for quality of food
Small menu but great food, starters are awesome. Sea bass with a side of bruselsprouts was great.
Always a strong choice. It is my go-to neighborhood place.
