I love Barbuzzo's cuisine - creative and tasty. We shared a cauliflower and mushroom pizza, with soup and salad in addition. The restaurant gets noisy when many people are there, so for lunch come at noon when they open.
Perfect portions and innovative cooking. Every bite is to savor. May be their best restaurant!
Fantastic service at the bar from Faith, who made quite possibly the most delicious Negroni I have ever had. Pizza was thin and crispy; meatballs were spicy and flavorful. Wonderful experience from start to finish. Will return soon!
Salted Carmel budino was amazing !!!!!!!
Love this place. Food and decor are awesome. Watch out for tight spaces. Might not be great if you’re larger than a table of 4 or prefers lot of elbow room. Highly recommend a budino for dessert!
This is a wonderful spot to go an have a nice romantic date. The staff was so nice and informative. Chef Rodriguez assured our palates was endured with flavor and our stomachs fulfilled. For starters we had Butternut Squash Arancini and the Cheese Board. After we had Margarita Pizza and Toranneli Nero. For dessert Salted Caramel Budino and La Colombe Espresso Tiramisu. Yummy!!!
Amazing meal! Servers are knowledgeable and have great recommendations. Great flavorful food that was perfect for sharing. I’d run back and eat here next time I’m in philly!
Barbuzzo is ALWAYS good! The food is very special. Don't miss the Budino!
Totally enjoyed our experience at Barbuzzo! Food was fabulous and wait staff courteous and professional.
Attentive helpful server, outstanding food, creative and inventive dishes. Always a favorite which never lets us doen😊😊
We came here prior to an event at the Kimmel theater. Our reservation was for 7:15 and despite a line of people waiting we were seated immediately. The restaurant was full of people and we were lucky to get a seat towards the back where it was a bit less noisy. The food was amazing! Everything was delicious and fresh as can be. We did ask the waiter for some recommendations and we chose some of his reco's and selected some of our own. Cocktails were also delish. Dessert fab too. I highly reco Barbuzzo for any occasion. You will net be disappointed. But make sure you have a reservation.
We had been waiting to get there and it was worth the wait. Went with another couple and split everything, the way to go to try the most...DELICIOUS!!!! The pizzas and pastas were unreal...
Topped off the night with the SALTED CARAMEL BUDINO! I was told you have to get it and you do!
The food was amazing! The noise level way too high!
Definitely a good place for a date or drinks and some small plates to share. Not the ideal restaurant for a large party.
Lovely restaurant in center city!
Absolutely delicious. The pizza with egg was the best we’ve ever had, the mussels were perfect, the beet salad was on point, and the budino for dessert was heavenly
We went as a group to celebrate a birthday. We were able to order a lot of different items and split them up. The menu was unique and service was quick! The price was great for the amount of food and drink we all had. The seating is very close and not very comfortable, but would definitely come back again!!!
I took my fiancé here and we were awestruck by the meticulous emphasis on ingredients and wine pairings. The staff was genuine and attentive. The next time we are in town we will be returning.
Overall lovely experience.
Always a favorite when I’m in Philly. Execution of the plates is always spot on. We had the sublime ricotta, out of this world acorn squash, refreshing octopus, homey gnocchi, and the chocolate bread pudding for dinner this time. Every dish was better than the last. Super yum!!
I was very disappointed from the moment I was greeted by the manager of Barbuzzo. For a restaurant that is so tough to get into on the weekends, I was expecting more in terms of customer service and wow factor of the food. First, if you have a baby, don't even bother going. I made the reservation on Open Table and stated that it was for two adults and a baby. Then, who I am assuming to be one of the hosts called me to confirm. I confirmed yes, and stated that it was for two adults and baby. When my husband and I arrived with our baby, the manager said there were no high chairs. Um..ok? So, why were we not told? He stood there, looked, at us, and basically said, he didn't know. He barely helped us out. Provided almost no suggestions or accomodations until we pressed him for some help. We're standing there with a baby for my husband's dinner. That's the best they can do?? Then, he said, well, I guess I could push two tables together. That was after a few minutes of us standing there with our hands in the air, not really sure what to do. So, we had a bumpy time at dinner with a one-year-old. Our waiter, lacking charisma, had the same blasé attitude. Couldn't stop pushing the drinks on me though! When he asked about dessert, I said that when I made the reservation, the hostess said that a dessert is brought over with a candle. He, again, very blasé and cold, said that they did not do that there. Silence. The whole experience was one I don't need to go back to. When you start to make me feel like you are doing me a favor by serving me, then I can easily go elsewhere. Now, let's talk food. Mediocre. Was it good? Yeah. But for the money and wait to get it, honestly, you'd be better off looking elsewhere. Barbuzzo - I'm interested to see what you could do to make me want to come back, because based on our experience, neither one of us is very interested.
Great dessert. Tables are too close. Felt as if we were dining with the party next to us.
Very small restaurant. Definitely need reservation.
One of the best meals we've had ever.
Fun. Vibrant crowd.
Drove 500 miles to dine here!
I love this place, the food is so outstandingly creative and super delicious
First visit and will definitely not be our last. Our food was amazing, service was outstanding and just a great vibe. My children loved it. Highly recommend
Loved the gnocchi! Will definitely come back!
We sat at the bar because we arrived too early for our reservation. We were served promptly without being rushed and found the food delicious.
Found out about this place after eating an amazing dinner at Charlie was a Sinner. Once we found out Barbuzzo was connected, we decided we needed to try it as well. We made a reservation while we were visiting Philly from GA. We were happy to see a place that serves dinner later in the evening and had some good vegetarian options for my veg friend. Even though we showed up almost an hour early and planned to just sit and wait, they ended up being able to seat us right away! The service was great, the drinks were good, and the food was fantastic! We ordered the Cavolifiore pizza and added extra mushrooms. We also ordered the gnocchi pasta. The pizza was one of the best I've ever had so it quickly overshadowed the gnocchi, but that was really good too! If I am ever in Philly again, I would definitely return.
The food and drinks were fantastic! Have definitely already recommended it to several friends!
Great as always!
I have only been to Barbuzzo for lunch, but it was a great lunch! I tried one of the pizzas (I remember it had apple or pear on it) and it was delicious. It is a little bit more expensive than some other lunch spots I have been to, so just check out the menu in advance to be sure it's in your lunch budget. The other folks in my party had sandwiches and a burger and they didn't have any complaints. Service was pretty on point. It was cold out that day and the curtains around the front door helped to keep the breeze out every time someone walked in. Overall, a great place! They also have outdoor seating, but it seems like it would be a little cramped since the sidewalk is kind of tight in that area.
The food is wonderful and the service outstanding. Highly recommended.
Delicious food ! The gnochi is to die for! The Ovo pizza is super delicious. Highly recommend.
The ambiance is very nice, and I could eat the grilled chicken breast lunch every day.
Another great dinner at Barbuzzo. It never disappoints!!
Good restaurant but tight space with open kitchen in Dining room. People have to talk over each other and the noise level becomes intolerable at times. Otherwise would recommend. The
Came here and couldn't believe I hadn't been here sooner. We started with the cheese plate and foie pate. I'm not exaggerating when I say every ingredient of the dish served a purpose and came through in the finished product. We all shared a pizza which was also fantastic. For the main course my mind was blown. I ordered the tufoli and the pork ragu was killer. My girlfriend had ordered the sopressini and thankfully couldn't finish it. After a few cocktails and food we had ordered dessert. Do yourself a favour and order your own salted caramel budino they are not to be shared! We fought over every bite. I honestly can't say enough about the meal. Great service and great food. Fantastic experience all around. We can't wait to come back.
We had a wonderful first experience and will definitely come back! Food was amazing. Love tapas so we can share with everyone.
Took my girlfriend there for a milestone birthday. Ordered cheese board as an appetizer which was very good. I ordered the Bay Scallop Bucatini and my girlfriend ordered the Caciovallo Stuffed Meatballs, of which both were very good. Had the Tiramisu for dessert which was very good. Note the atmosphere is rustic and cool, but close seating can make it crowded. Overall we had a good experience.
Delicious pizza & meatball appetizer!
The food at Barbuzzo was AMAZING. I had the sheep's milk ricotta for appetizer, the gnocchi for entree, and the salted caramel budino for dessert. Every single one of these dishes was outstanding. The service was also great, the waitress very attentive. BE WARNED, the restaurant is TINY, be prepared to share the space with strangers, we were pretty much touching elbows with the people at the table next to us.
