Delicious pizza & meatball appetizer!
The food was very good but came soon fast we could tell right away that they wanted to just turn over the table. There’s no where to wait and they over booked. We were close to the door so it was loud due to the normal level of noise one would expect and all the people waiting for a table talking too. It’s a shame that it ruined an otherwise nice experience.
It’s a must visit every time I’m in Philadelphia! The food is always perfectly prepared, menu is updated with seasonable options while maintaining the best dishes year round!
We has an awesome time. We were seated right away considering it was a busy Saturday night. Super loud in there. Waitress was nice, didn’t bother us too much but seemed like she was busy and didn’t give us too many recommendations. Food came out quick and we were happy. Would definitely come back again.
Everything was really great! Food little bit salty though(
This place is one of the best restaurants I’ve ever eaten at!!! The sheeps milk ricotta is so delicious and smooth. Then I had the braised on bone short rib with polenta and apple slaw. The meat and polenta were so flavorful and cooked to perfection. To end we had the salted caramel budino and OMG it’s so wonderful and unique, I could eat it every day! Highly recommend making a reservation to go if you are in the area!
A good restaurant overall. Nothing to write home about.
We felt very rushed, our food arrived 5 minutes after ordering and as soon as a plate looked empty staff came over and attempted to clear the table (even when we were still eating). I understand being attentive but they made us feel like they were trying to get us in and out in an hour to reseat the table.
The restaurant is a little too tight, where it is hard to get around and a little hard to hear. But the food made up for it.
Daughters & I chose this for girls night out in Philadelphia last night. The 3 of us shared 6 dishes, each one special. We all agreed food, service & ambience was five out of five star! Hope to be back someday soon.
Server was amiable and quick. Hostess remembered that it was our anniversary, which was very nice. Food, imaginative and excellent. Octopus celery salad ftw.
Great choice for our girls day out. We ended here for dinner and had mussels, salad and pizza to split. Crowded but felt bustling.
Delicious food. Great service
Restaurant excellent ! Très bon rapport qualité prix !
Fantastic food and service! Always look forward to coming here!
Barbuzzo was great. we had 3 different dishes, and they all tasted great. they were different, but different in a good way. the grilled octopus was excellent, as was the acorn squash. the salted caramel bodino for dessert was perfect. went away comfortably full, but not stuffed. little crowded and noisy, but the food made up for that.
Greeted warmly. Food was very good. Efficiency was seen through out the resturant. Prompt friendly service. Will be back
We had a wonderful meal: we both ordered 2 starters which was plenty of food. Had vegan carrot soup (Delish!) We also had the grilled chicken that came with farro, roasted Brussel sprouts and more goodness.
Our server was delightful, attentive and efficient.
Would come back again. Note : noise level Hugh- tables very close together... but the food trumped everything!
We always make a point to stop at Barbuzzo whenever we come to Philadelphia. The food is very interesting and well prepared. We love it!
Wonderful ambiance. Cheese board was okay - wouldn’t really recommend. Uovo pizza was to die for. The pasta was incredible, especially the gnocchi. Great combo of flavors and expedient service for amazing value. Highly recommend for a casual outing or a dinner date.
The service was impeccable. Since it's always so crowded and "they pack 'em in", the servers expertly weave and wait. The food was truly FANTASTIC from the casual (baked ricotta, amazing pizza) to the foodie-worthy (bucatinni with bay scallops, some salted caramel dessert-thing OMG), everything was seriously top notch. Great cocktails too!! (Elderflower champs)
Food was good though a bit salty. It’s a little cramped but everyone makes do and the service is excellent.
This is one of my all time favorite restaurants. Every time I go the Philadelphia and have to go here for the food.
Popular restaurant in Philadelphia, will always be crowded. The food is well presented and tasty, may be a bit oil you’re too salty but that’s for flavor. The noise level was really loud and be prepared to be forced into a small table. They pack as many people went to this restaurant as they can
You can never go wrong at Barbuzzo, great lunch spot, food is always on point and delicious. Usually go once a month and each time I try something different on the menu. Now the problem is everything sooooo good it makes it tough to decide what to choose.
Good experience all around. Will be back next time in Philly.
Food was very good, comes in small plates. We shared three plates between two of us and we were quite full.
Some of the dishes were a bit salty, so you may want to ask to have them prepared without salt then add to your own tastes.
The food was good, but nothing spectacular. Not sure I’d visit again.
We ate at Barbuzzo before a show in the city on a Saturday night. The seating is a bit tight, but once we were settled, we were all very comfortable for the duration of our meal. Our party of five tried many things and really everything was excellent. Particular standouts were the short ribs, the pastas, the brussel sprouts and the ricotta appetizer. While everything was great, the highlight was absolutely the dessert. The salted caramel budino is worth having, even if you just drop in for only that. Excellent experience, highly recommend!
We had a lovely meal at Barbuzzo. The food was outstanding. We particularly liked the gnocchi and the pizza with pear and arugula. The server gave us excellent advice about how much to order, so we left happy and full but not absolutely stuffed. There was not a bad dish among the 4 that we ordered. We plan to go back!
Fantastic spot in Center City for lunch. Creative menu with lots of choices, and everything we had was outstanding. Fresh ingredients expertly prepared and plated, and a surprisingly well-curated beer list. Will definitely be back!
Food not up to the level it use to be. Pasta was so salty we couldn’t eat it. Felt very rushed by our server after dinner while we ordered another glass of wine.
Thus, being very popular does not mean a good experience. Plenty of other restaurants in the city to try.
Get a pizza every time and they're fantastic.
I'll be back! Food was delish and my husband n I fought over the bone marrow n Grilled Octopus.
Fiancé swore by this restaurant, so had high expectations. It’s absolutely for special occasions, not an every day place. The layout and seating is questionable; not much real estate to navigate; definitely not a place you can “get comfortable”. Overall, solid service, good menu, and a must eat on 13th.
My wife and I hit this place up for Valentines dinner and really enjoyed everything about the restaurant. The food was quick to arrive and very tasty.
Valentines Day was great!
Amazing food. We were advised that the potions were small and best to share so ordered a few extra. Every dish was excellent, probably not as small as described. Highly recommended!
Food was great. Service was great. The place is cramped and loud!
