Lovely lunch with coworkers. We had the ricotta, antipasti, beet salad, meatballs, and margarita pizza. All dishes were excellent.
Loved the atmosphere and open kitchen, very cool and food was outstanding!
The food was fine, but overall we were disappointed. The grilled octopus was mostly potatoes and greens with a few bites of octopus thrown in. Likewise, the roasted artichoke dish was mostly bread and unremarkable vegetables with only 3 or 4 small artichoke pieces. We did enjoy the marrow sausage and the lamb pasta dish, and I liked the negroni cocktail varieties. I didn't feel that service was overly friendly, and the place was so loud that it was hard to hear my partner across our small table. It was all right, but I doubt we'll return.
Barbuzzo has always been one of my favorites but this meal was extremely salty, some of it almost inedible! I was really surprised and disappointed. I hope they can work some flavor back into the dishes without the need for over-salting.
Server never introduced herself, had to ask her name. This was after waiting about 25 minutes in a virtually empty restaurant for her to take my drink order. Noticed she didn’t introduce herself to the couple sitting next to me when she came to their table. Sounds like she needs some retraining. Food was good and not overpriced at all.
Great place 👌🏾
Gnocchi was amazing. Service wasn’t so great. Took really long for waitress to do anything.
Enjoyed the meal and the service was good on our Anniversary
First time here and won't be the last. We've been wanting to go here for awhile and just never seemed to make it. Food is very good and the service was attentive. The seating is a bit too close and the noise level can be a bit loud, but overall I highly recommend the place.
Everything was good- not great. Parties over four would be a problem here.
Barbuzzo is consistently one of the best places in the city. I’m never disappointed.
Food was great! Service was fast and friendly. Loud atmosphere and a bit dark but overall had a great experience..
Re-visited with the same friend I ate here with the last time because we both enjoyed it so much. We were not disappointed. The food and service were great. Coffee a little strong
Great, creative food. Bustling atmosphere.
We enjoyed outside seating, though there were lots of pedestrians. The meatballs were excellent. Service was quick. Bone marrow sausage was also good. It’s great to sit at the bar and watch the cooking, as the inside tables are tightly packed. Good wines by the glass.
My only problem was "why haven't I come here before?" The pizza is great to share and the bronzino was delicious. They didn't have a pinot I wanted but the waiter suggested a good alternative. I must come here at least once a week now that I know it's as good as my friends all said.
Best beet salad ever! Pizza is amazing too. Would highly recommend.
Good food and good service. Artsy, hip atmosphere. Our waitress had good recommendations for drinks and dishes to try based on our preferences. She was on point.
Good food in a great location! Waiter was clearly trying to hurry us out and we just wanted to enjoy our bottle of wine and pizza!
Pera Pizza ESKEETIT
Lunch at Barbuzzo was great. Our server could not have been more friendly, kind and on it. We sat outside among the bustle of the city. The food was excellent. Not many options for my gluten-free sister, but she managed with a beet salad. We would go back for sure.
Other than the noise level everything was excellent. Unfortunately, this was my first visit and it was a business meeting. I’ll be back, just not on business.
The steak was so delicious. Everything I tried was amazing. I was really looking forward to the budino & it was everything I wanted it to be. Thanks for a great birthday meal.
I never do dessert. Do THE dessert here. A mason jar of goodness. Fantastic service as well.
Amazing food but very dark inside. Need phone light to read menu.
Tight, noisy and dark. Waiter was great...food was decent...wine and champagne cocktail actually pretty good, but overpriced. Still, we had an acceptable time at your restaurant after the show, but will not recommend or return. The quarters were very tight, and as I was on the aisle, I was constantly being bumped by other patrons passing by my seat. I know, you have to make do with what you have, and frankly I have no suggestions other than to break out of there and grow, because, with the vibe I felt, and the reasonably good food, even with your inflated liquor prices you'd be a definite hit otherwise. Sorry for the not so great review; but when you spend a hundred bucks on salad, pizza, three drinks and one dessert you expect to be able to see what you are eating, hear your companion in conversation and not be jostled by your dining neighbors. Good luck in the future.
Couldn't wait to get this opportunity to rave about Barbuzzo. I have dined in many cities and in many restaurants in Philly. Dining here has caused me to conclude that this is the best, most inspired restaurant in town. Many are ethnic, many do single cuisines - many quite well. But Barbuzzo is the most successfully and deliciously creative of any and all. Period. Have you ever thought, "Hmm. that's an interesting combination of ingredients", only to try it and say "Wrong!". Not here. Here you say, "Hmm. what is that flavor! OMG, it's perfect! Incredible!"
Thanks for a great evening.
Food was excellent but the service for the short rib was slow and there was a draft blowing on my neck which also blew my candle out.
This has always been one of my favorites and it continues to be. Perfect for date night as long as you don’t mind the overall noise level.
Has a very warm atmosphere with excellent food and service.
The food was amazing and we loved the ambiance
The food was outstanding. The selections on the menu will have you wanting to return because they look and sound absolutely delicious. I look forward to returning.
Love the lunch menu. Always great and an outside table on a sunny day Heaven!!!
The food was very good but the seating was super crowded and the noise level was unbearable!
Good, but overpriced; small portions.
Pizza is average and costly but the steak is amazing and worth the money !
Fantastic food. Service was good. The only negative is the seating. It seems that every time we go there, we are seated at the very back next to kitchen staff and restrooms. There were other tables available, some not used the whole time we were there. We used Open Table for reservations.
Superb except for their espresso. We sent our espresso back without any issue. They should upgrade their espresso machine to match the quality of the rest of their food and service. Thank you!
Our experience at Barbuzzo was outstanding. Even on a Monday night it was busy. The service was very prompt and our dishes came out very quickly. But we did not feel rushed as we took our time for the meal. We ordered dishes from all over the menu and were very satisfied with the quality and taste. Notably the cauliflower pizza was phenomenal. In desserts, the Budino was exceptional. Highly recommend this place for any special occasion. Thanks!
