Barbuzzo Salted Caramel Budino
dark chocolate crust, vanilla bean caramel, sea salt
house made pancetta, butternut squash, mushrooms, kale, garlic butter, parmesan
Roasted Beet Salad
goat cheese, citrus, tuscan kale, pistachio pesto
Friendly staff, great food and great service! Wonderful pizza and tasty octopus!
We ate outside while it's still a little warm. Dinner was excellent as always. I was hoping for the short ribs but they've been replaced with another beef dish. The kale and beet salad was excellent, as was the octopus. I liked the squid ink pasta but it wasn't what I expected. Only the pasta is black, no inky sauce. My hubby had the meatballs and pizza with lots of meat. Wish we'd each gotten our own caramel budino but decided to share after eating so much. Great dinner and nice beer selection.
From the charcuterie and Queen Bee cocktail, to the meatballs and uova flatbread accompanied by a luscious Pinot noir, it was all delicious. And who can deny themselves a mouthwatering budino! Not I. Service was fabulous as always. Thank you everyone who makes Barbuzzo so great.
Did not receive good service from our server. No check ins until we finished our meals. Offered no apologies and contradicted my comments.
Excellent pre-theatre brunch and the whipped ricotta was divine!
This was our first visit. Recommended by a family member. The pizza was great and the service was perfect. Will be back!
Great service Interesting dishes. Good for sharing
We had been to Barbuzzo a few times before, however, it had been a couple of years. It was obvious they were feeling the strain of what recent times have imposed upon the restaurant industry. City mandates were strictly adhered to; the staff was very friendly and efficient under the circumstances. None of my comments should be construed as negative, just a sign of the times. Service was effective and cordial and, working in teams, everyone got the job done. Plates delivery took a bit longer than would have been expected but our server did a good job of checking in on us and taking care of the little details like keeping water glasses full. We enjoyed the specialty cocktails and offerings of wines by the glass. To start, we enjoyed the ample beet salad and the butternut squash arancini. For plates, we decided on the bronzino and gnocchi and both were delicious. We were heading to a show and were concerned about time so we skipped coffee and tea but one cannot go to Barbuzzo and not share a budino! Always a good experience here and we wish them the best as they navigate through these difficult times.
Delicious food as always!
Top to bottom, very good. Get the meatballs! Pizza was excellent as well, def worth visiting.
Small table ( for 2) slightly cramped. High energy, very noisy why predominantly young adult diners. Food was average but with a fair value. Service above average. Not the place to go for a quiet, ambient evening.
Delicious food. Good variety. Very good cocktails.
We really liked this spot!! The food was extraordinary!!!
The food and service was excellent! We went there to celebrate my birthday, and it was perfect.
We dined outside in one of the pods that line the street in front of the restaurant. The pod provided separation and reduced ambient noise considerably. We enjoyed this setup. Service was excellent; friendly and attentive. We split an order of Papas Fritas, Patate Pizzan and Pan Seared Gnochi. Everything was prepared well utilzing high quality ingredients. An enjoyable dinner.
Came for a bite after a show at the Walnut. Loved the free flowing concept so we got our food quickly and to top it off it was deelish.
My wife and I dine outdoors exclusively at this time. Barbuzzo has enclosed booths that look out on one of the most energetic areas for dining in the city. We enjoyed the "street fair" atmosphere. The tables and chairs are metallic without seat cushions and get uncomfortable after awhile.
We shared a butternut squash salad which my wife enjoyed more than me. For her entree my wife selected the grilled octopus. The dish was served in a salad which was both ample and excellent.
I enjoyed black squid pasta served with tiny spicy shrimp. Instead of the usual linguine, the pasta was what I would describe as large ears. I liked the dish, but prefer black squid linguine.
For drinks, my wife had a $12 pinot grigio. I enjoyed a glass of sangria, which was a bit bitter. We skipped dessert.
The bill was $80 without tip.
The food was good but it took45 minutes
Portions was very small, loud drummers in the street
Very good food with a cool vibe and great service
I love this place! The menu is simple. The food is outstanding. The whipped ricotta and the budino are just unbelievable. Service was great in the outdoor atmosphere was refreshing. I will definitely be back!
The food at Barbuzzo has been consistently excellent since they opened their doors! The menu changes frequently, and our server was great at helping us choose what to order. Barbuzzo remains at the top of my "go to" list!
The appetizers were good but main dish of squid ink pasta was pathetic. They used the cheap tiny shrimp and pasta didn’t taste anything like squid ink. Very bland dish
Love this place always consistently good!
Took my niece for Sunday birthday brunch with her teenage son. We had been there before and she was looking forward to the pizza again which she and her son shared. They didn’t leave any behind and then shared a budino for dessert which they drooled over.
I had the shakshuka. It was unlike any I was used to but delicious. It contained eggs, beans, lots of garlic, squash and I don’t know what else. Something a little spicy as well as Tzotzil I. I was talking so much I didn’t get a lot of it eaten at the restaurant, but brought it home and ate some later, and will finish it for dinner tonight. Looking forward to it.
We has a terrific waiter who was there when he was needed as helpful with the menu. We ate indoors because I had not been sure of the weather when I made the reservation. People wore masks and I felt comfortable about the seating. We all had a good time and a good meal.
We are from New York and heard so much about this place that I think our expectations got too high. The food was great. No question. Service was not great. It wasn’t awful service, it was just no that one cared. We’d ask questions about the menu, the restaurant, etc. it felt like we got little more than a shrug. Come for the food but don’t expect an amazing all around experience.
There was a slight waiting in the beginning, but the rest of the meal was very good!
Restaurant Week 2021. It was excellent.👍🏼
The food was absolutely fantastic, good wine list and I was very grateful for the ability to order the Restaurant Week menu or the normal menu.
Heard great things about Barbuzzo, and it lived up to the hype. We decided against the restaurant week menu, but that’s only because I’m a steak guy and that wasn’t a RW option. All of the food was delicious, our waitress was amazing, and it was just a cool feel to the entire evening.
First time here and totally enjoyed it. Started off with arancini and meatballs. Bronzino and squid ink pasta with rock shrimp for mains. All were delicious. Service was great and can’t wait to get back
The service was extremely terrible, nearly degrading. Food took so long to be prepared that we never ate. Don’t bother coming here.
Everything was just par, I expected better things especially for the hard time they gave me concerning a reservation that I made 2 weeks in advance.
Food, drinks, and our sever Grace was great!
We went for restaurant week but 1 of the 4 ordered from the regular menu. The food was great and the portions were generous. The cocktails were also very good
Delicious Food! The service was amazing. Def check it out.
Extremely nice service and fun atmosphere with very good good - a little noisy for this oldster but really to be expected - thanks for a great experience
Went for lunch the 1st day of CC restaurant week. Made res through OT CCRW. They said they only participate for dinner, not lunch, and refused to give a parking validation. The upsetting part was that their website didn’t specify that they’re only participating in dinner, which was misleading.
The sangria we had was really watered down, but they added a splash of wine when I asked them for it.
Other than that, the food was fantastic!
Friendly staff, great food, very good wine and beer selections, unobtrusive, safe accommodations to Covid-19. A lovely experience!
Love Barbuzzo. One of my favorite restaurants in the whole city. Our meal last night was utter perfection from the appetizers to the coffee and dessert. We ordered the focaccia and mozzarella for our appetizer which was phenomenal! I ordered the bronzino while my husband had the caseccere both of which were absolutely perfect. Dessert is my ever favorite budino. Love love love
