Our server Doug was great and the food was excellent. We sat outside in the tent shelter which was a little cold but with a jacket it was fine.
Food and drinks were delicious and for that reason, we will definitely be back! Service was so so. We understand our waiter was busy and we were quite patient, however literally every time we needed something we had to flag him down in hopes of catching him as he speed walked past us each time. Only once did he ask how our pasta was and that was practically mid stride as he made his way to another table. It almost felt like an inconvenience each time we’d ask for something so that was a bummer, but the food definitely made up for it for us.
The food was good and fun, but our server was so busy it was sometimes difficult to get her attention. Other than that an all around a good experience.
Great service above average food ! Would go back
The appetizers were truly the stars. We had whipped dips and the foie gras. So fabulous. Pasta dishes were also very good. Inventive and tasty. My quid ink shells were a bit heavy for the dish but tasted so good. My husband had the ragu and really enjoyed it. Cocktails were also delicious. We ate indoors with tables far apart and the door open the whole time. Dress as if you will be outside as it was cool, but no complaints about keeping the fresh air coming in.
Consistently delivers on a great dining experience.
Usually a tight setting to eat. The social distancing is allowing spacious area to dine. The good is delicious as always. The additions to menu was awesome. The pasta and seafood was cooked perfectly and the sauce was rich and amazing. The classics on menu done to perfection as usual. Small plates are great for tasting several dishes at the meal. Great location for people watching. Favorite place to dine outdoors as well.
The food was excellent. I recommend the gnocchi dish. Probably one of the best gnocchi I have ever had. Not only was the food excellent but the staff was phenomenal. I highly recommend this restaurant and will be coming back.
Fantastic restaurant, the food and service were spectacular! Only reason it’s 4 instead of 5 stars is the HVAC system was inconsistent, got cold/warm often.
Minor nit, definitely put this on your list of restaurants in center city.
Service is wonderful, vibe is cool, and the food and drinks are awesome!
great spot!
food was great. the outdoor seating has heating, however you still need to wear a coat on chilly nights.
The food was very good, but it took a very long time for us to get it. Not sure if that’s because it was Valentine’s Day, but for how nice the restaurant is we just thought service should have been better. Good ambience.
The atmosphere is very cozy and romantic but the tables are rather small and awkward. I’m not sure if it is on purpose, but the servers are over the top hipster-esque and have a laissez faire attitude that doesnt fit the restaurant. The food saved this place and the chef is too good to be working here. Would return for the food.
We went for the first time a few days back and it was a great experience! The food was delicious and the lighting and ambiance were beautiful. Great service as well. Hope to go back soon.
Very great food and great ambience, I would absolutely go back.
The outdoor setup was nicer than I expected and offered an isolated tables, heat and a roof to keep out the elements
Good- excellent food, nice and comfortable service.
Bad- Was hoping for something a bit more upscale. Waiter wore jeans and work boots. Coffee wasn't hot.
Excellent service and food! They are observing COVID precautions . definitely coming back next time I am in town
I love Barbuzzo everyone I go. Food is always good!
One of our favorite restaurants in Center City. Unfortunately with the current COVID precautions, much of the business is outside in middle of Winter weather. The evening we went, there was so much continuous opening of the door that we literally had to wear our Winter coats while we ate Inside....and not by the door, but in the very middle of the restaurant...was clearly a wind-tunnel. Had we known this (which I realize we couldn't expect), we would have made reservations elsewhere for a special Valentine's dinner.
But the food was great, as always....Most especially the Bronzino entree! Kudos to the kitchen!
Had a fabulous dinner on Valentine’s Day weekend. The service was wonderful, the food was fantastic. Can’t wait to go back!
Great place, great food and great service. The only thing was meatball gravy was a little watery. The aracini and triple whipped dip was amazing.
Brought my 11-year-old daughter here while we were staying in Philly for a few days as a grown-up fancy dinner date. food was amazing. my daughter really enjoyed herself. everyone was wearing masks and the tables were appropriately distanced so I felt extremely safe. The food was beyond. We had the charcuterie board the beet salad the margarite pizza the bread pudding and the ribs. everything was delicious and the wait staff was on point. I cannot wait to bring my husband back here for a date night.
Fantastic meal - we started with the beet salad and whipped ricotta - absolutely delicious. A special for the evening was barbecued ribs with a rich creamy polenta; amazing. Service was great. Can’t wait to dine at Barbuzzo again!
The food was delicious, although they were a bit stingy with the whipped ricotta and making us order more bread at a cost to eat it. However, the cocktails were delightful and the gnocchi is great both there and reheated as leftovers. They gave us a perfect spot in the window, perfect for celebrating my wife’s birthday!
We love Barbuzzo but waited 25 minutes passed our reservation to be seated.
I had the sangria and tom’s focaccia and they both were to die for! Barbuzzo never disappoints!!
I absolutely love Bsrbuzzo. Bern there many times. I will be back.
Good good and service. Great location as well.
The beet salad was so delicious! Upstairs was spacious and cozy. No complaints about service. Will be back!
Amazing food
The atmosphere was great, and the food was even better! They take safety precautions seriously and we had a really good experience. Will definitely be back!
if you're much over 30, think twice about dining here. The food is actually better than it should be for a glorified bar type menu, but the vibe is definitely not about cuisine.
Great meal here! It was the first week back for indoor dining in Philly due to COVID, and we sat inside and had a lovely dinner and felt that it was very clean!
I was really excited for barbuzzo but the food wasn’t as good as I thought it would be. It was still pretty good but not anything worth going too in my opinion.
Everything we ordered was amazing! Will definitely be coming back.
Barbuzzo has delicious food. The menu did not disappoint as it had options for everyone; the appetizers were great (whipped ricotta and lamb dolmades) - the entrees were unique and well seasoned. Excellent value for a dinner out while enjoying wine and cocktails with our meal.
Overall experience great. The food though was over salted and too buttery. Menu needs more options.
If you can get a table in the tent it was definitely warm enough to sit outside!
