Barbuzzo is a Mediterranean restaurant and bar located in the trendy Midtown Village area of center city. We serve small plates intended to share. With a wood-burning oven for pizzas & roasting, Barbuzzo’s menu features rustic, hand crafted regional fare such as: Grilled Octopus with fingerlings, roasted peppers & soppressata; Parsnip ravioli with duck ragu and roasted pears; Uovo Pizza with brussel leaves, guanciale, & truffle farm egg. Menu items range in price from $3 to $32. Barbuzzo has a full bar featuring Mediterranean wines, craft beers and cocktails. We have bar and counter seating overlooking the open kitchen available for walk ins.

Love this cozy little place and hit it for lunch and my guests loved it! Quaint, cozy and lovely! Amazing food, healthy and yummy.

The food is fabulous ... the atmosphere and service not so much. My husband and I shared several small plates, pizza, meatballs, and a bottle of wine. We received our three small plates in rapid-fire delivery but did not receive our bottle of wine until we were almost done with the small plates ... and we were not eating fast as we were waiting for our wine. Our two top was at the opening between the bar and open kitchen ... worst location ever. The amount of traffic sprinting past our table was a bit maddening. I recommend that you ask for a table along the wall not the aisle and definitely not at that opening / service area. We were lucky our table was next to the open kitchen as diners up front were wearing their coats it was so chilly inside ... in winter request a table toward the back. As the staff cleared tables, it would be nice if they didn't swing their dirty dish bins over our table ... gross. The interior is finished with hard surfaces, so it is quite loud to begin with ... and to have servers slam down plates, glasses, and utensils to set the tables is icing on the cake. I'm completely gutted that the atmosphere and service were disappointing as the food is really good.

Food and service were fantastic as always! Meatballs are such a stand out. Table for two was a little tight, but hardly a complaint.

Barbuzzo remains a charmer. The shaved salad delights all senses, the fig vin cotto elevates the silky ricotta, and the salted caramel budino is the perfect end to any and all meals here. Oh, and the Philly Negroni is one of the best uses I've come across for the fine local Bluecoat gin.

I’ve been many times before but I always forget how incredible it is. The octopus, beet salad, sheep milk ricotta, tiramisu, and bread pudding were incredible. I would go again tomorrow.

My wife and I returned to Barbuzzo after not being there for a couple of years. Our meal was just as excellent as it was on those other occasions. We shared four dishes--all really terrific--followed of course by the amazing Budino for dessert. Our server was extremely competent, helpful and attentive without being intrusive. Despite the lively crowd and tight spaces, we did not feel cramped or unable to converse easily. We will not wait so long to return!

Space is tight, noise level doesn't allow for conversation, and lighting doesn't allow for easy menu reading, but the energy and consistently excellent food makes that all seem meaningless.

The restaurant week Manu was a great deal for the amount of great food you get. The service was very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere cozy and fun. Would love to come again. Highly recommend the meatballs and the caramel desert!

We went for restaurant week. We had a 2 pm reservation for two but there were three of us so we had to sit at the bar. It was packed. I enjoyed the arancini. The others got roasted vegetable antipasti and the ricotta appetizers. They were very good as well. I had the branzino. It was really good, as was one of the pasta dishes. The rigatoni with pork ragu was just ok. We shared the desserts. A tiramisu, an olive oil cake, and something else that was pudding-like. They were good but not spectacular. But for $20 for three courses it was a deal. I’d definitely go back to try other things.

My friend and I went to Barbuzzo for resturant week. We both loved it! Sharing each course, we started with the lightly smoked artic char crostone, and barbuzzo meatballs. To following we had the braised shortrib, and pan seared gnocchi. Ending the night with the tiramisu, and our favourite dish of all, the salted caramel budino, you cannot go to Barbuzzo and not have the budino!

We came for dinner during Restaurant Week and fully enjoyed it! I expected smaller portions than usual, but we had more than enough to eat. My favorites were the ricotta (included with the Restaurant Week menu) and short rib. The space itself is a little crowded and drafty when the door opens, but the food and service are excellent.

Excellent food and cocktails. Just a warning: tables are very close, so if you are claustrophobic or a larger person you might not be comfortable.

It's a really tight space, but the food and service make up for the brushing of elbows and lack of private conversation. Highly recommend getting the bread pudding!
