Great food and priced well. Service was lovely but it’s definitely snug inside. Only a foot or so in between tables.
Everything we had was amazing. But the octopus salad was the most amazing experience! Fork tender and so flavorful.
Always a favorite. Food is consistently fantastic, the folks working there are kind and attentive without being pushy and even though it's loud in there, it's not obnoxious noise
The food was very good along with the drinks, and my server Charlie was exceptional !
Lovely food, pizzas are amazing. Friendly and attentive service. Unfortunately some of their customers don’t understand that they can’t have a table for the entire evening, despite being asked to vacate the table! So we had to wait a while after our booking time to be seated but the host was so apologetic about the situation it wasn’t really a problem!
Everything we have had here was excellent. The pizzas are great but don't leave out the sheep's milk ricotta with charred bread. I could have eaten just that all night.
Made reservations about a month ago for Barbuzzos because of the excellent reviews. Extremely disappointed. The restaurant was so dark we had to use our phone flashlights to read any of the menu. The noise level was high, difficult to have a conversation. Food was tasty but could not see what we were eating. The visuals are an important part of a meal and this was completely lacking. We do not recommend and will not return.
Too loud! Food was fine, but it was so loud that our table of 4 could not hear each other! As the goal was to visit with our friends as well as enjoy delicious food, the goal was not met. We'll find quieter spots with equally good food in the future.
We ran late with a Dr. at Jeff, but the hostess kept us on the list and we did not have to wait long...fabulous food, service, and place. Loved it. Thanks for holding the table!
Awesome!!! 2thumbs up
From olives to tiramisu and all 6 plates in between, Barbuzzo transported us out of Philly and into Mediterranean heaven. We'll return to try everything we couldn't in one night.
Ordered a beet salad. It was more of a Kale salad with 3 pieces of orange and red beets and 1T of goat cheese.
The ambiance was the best part of the evening. The candle lit dinner was romantic and moody. Our small plates, whipped ricotta and arancini balls, were AMAZING!
We loved the food, and our waitress was helpful and considerate of our questions. I recommend this restaurant to everyone visiting Phily.
It was delicious! I would definitely love to come back.
The kale and beet salad was fantastic! I’ll be going back to have that one again!
I always make it to stop by Barbuzzo and grab a bite to eat. They always have rich and unique flavored dishes no matter your appetite.
Great food great service
Too dark to see menu. Table distance was tight. I’m size 12 and that was the upper limit to get between tables. Food was really good.
Service a bit scattered.
Felt like we needed to move along with meal.
As usual everything was delicious service is outstanding very crowded and very loud but the food is wonderful
It’s always a great dining experience at our all time favorite restaurant!
This small and medium-sized plates restaurant was a special treat. We shared some delicious food, had some good beer and were served by attentive staff. A place to ret to.
This restaurant never disappoints!! Great service and amazing food makes it a perfect date night spot. Best margarita pizza in town!!
Barbuzzo, as always, was amazing. The ricotta appetizer is a can't miss (which you might skip if you didn't know, but what will come out is nothing like what you may think ricotta is based on the grocery store version). The Uovo pizza is one of my favorite flavor combinations anywhere, with a delicious chewy crust. We had the butternut squash ravioli for the first time, and it was amazing. Plus some of the best tiramisu I've had anywhere, and the classic butterscotch budino. It's worth the trip to Philly, and the crazy early reservation because they're consistently booked!
We went for a special Birthday celebration. It was delicious, every plate got better amd better. My whole family especially liked the duck ragu. Service was outstanding! Very helpful when deciding on choices!
We have dined here several times. The chef is to be complemented in her skillful use of herbs and spices. The problem is that the food is so salty that this detracts from the overall taste. The staff is very friendly and efficient. The main negative about the overall experience was very loud music blaring away which made it impossible to enjoy the food or any conversation.
Outstanding food and service. Highly recommended. Very popular with locals
Great ambiance, great food, and great beer! Would definitely recommend to a friend
We ordered Stuffed Meatballs, Sheep’s Milk Ricotta, and Calabrese Pizza.
Everything was so good, I couldn’t pick a favorite. My dad won’t stop talking about the meatballs.
The space is rather cramped but it’s to be expected with the location. The service was great, especially with offering to store our coats to help with the tight spaces.
Our server was attentive and pleasant. I will definitely recommend to others!
Started with the cheese board and butternut squash arancini. Entrees were a margherita and truffled egg pizza. Followed by the pulled duck pappardelle and tirimasu for dessert with some esspressoo martinis. Everything was outstanding from food to service.
I would have loved the food if they weren’t so salty and burnt.
First visit to Barbuzzo, and I was not dissapointed. The service was good, all the food was delicious. The only drawback was it was a little tight at the table (5). I'll definitely go again, just with fewer people.
Food was good not too much better than your average neighborhood pizzeria.
Barbuzzo is a pretty phenomenal restaurant--each dish we tried was delightful (especially the bodino at the end!). The portions are normal--the pizza is enough for two, the pasta dish was just enough and the appetizers and sides were large enough to share. The space is pretty cramped and loud, but stick with it and you'll find the servers friendly, the bill not as big as you'd think, and the experience will be great overall.
Excellent food but it does seem like they are rushing you to get out of there. Small plates come out of the kitchen when they are ready and it is certainly not a relaxing evening of dining. Noisy but fun scene, but maybe a touch too noisy.
The food was delicious! The server was a huge help in making our dinner selection. I would definitely recommend this place for any occasion.
Stopped in for a business lunch. We were pressed for time and the server did an excellent job expediting our meal, which was delicious. 12/10 would dine there again.
