   Not as good an experience as prior visits. Service was not great. Waited a while for things we asked for. Server didn't check on us for a while after food was served and seemed to be annoyed by us rather than accommodating. Home fries were greasy and omelet was just okay. Should have ordered something else. Cucumbers as appetizer had no sauce, seasoning or anything, just sliced cucumbers. Was not expecting that. Typical NYC prices and portions were large.

   The food is excellent, which is why we like Barbounia. There were times the service was a bit slow, the noise level is high, and the it's a bit pricey but the food makes Barbounia an enjoyable experience.

    One of my favorite restaurants! The ambiance is always inviting and warm. Servers are professional and efficient. I love the salmon, with its interesting vegetables and delicious sauce. My husband's favorite is the lamb kabab in the pasta shell. Definetly recommend this restaurant.
