Very expensive for what you get, artichokes a disappointment as they’re not fresh but preserved. Wine very expensive. Venue beautiful. Staff nice, banquette seating very tight.
Restaurant was beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed the food.
I personally like this place way way way way better for dinner than brunch . Usually my favorite and I was super disappoainted with the brunch
Haven't been in a while (pregnancy & early childhood years) but finally made a return to my FAVORITE brunch spot and... it was AS amazing as I'd left it, minus the staff I once knew. Hands down, my favorite NYC brunch spot, even after all these years!!
Bottomless brunch was so fun and food was delicious!!!
Loved of the Ambiance, the service was amazing and the food was incredible! They were able to modify just move my dietary restrictions but the food was still amazing.
12 people, “20% service charge included. But the still had suggested tip field of 18,20 or 22%. Several other experiences trying to add $ that were deceptive will deter me from returning or recommending despite good food. Spent too much energy worrying about getting ripped off
Beautiful restaurant with very nice service and the food was delicious. The only negative was the seating was a bit cramped.
The spreads and appetizers we're delicious. Friendly staff and service was great.
Was told it was the “best non-steakhouse” meal in nyc. Not somplace I would go multiple times but great one off night. Did not disappoint great food and would recommend to friends
Superb service. Fun atmosphere. Beautiful restaurant.
We celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary and Valentines Day with are family. The atmosphere, food and service was outstanding. What a wonderful experience. First class all the way.
The staff rushed our dinner and constantly checking our progress. There were plenty of open tables and the restaurant had just opened.
Cocktails were great.
We had a great time, restaurant week menu was lovely, server recommended a nice rioja to compliment. All the service is what made the occasion fun.
Love Barbounia. Great menu choices for both meat lovers and no so meat lovers.
Awesome salads and pitas. The pizzas are also a good choice.
My husband and I went for Restaurant Week Lunch. It was late and more than half the restaurant was empty. We ordered our drinks and lunch. Then the problems started...
First, they brought our appetizers before drinks. Not a big problem, but it would’ve been nice to enjoy our drinks before we started eating. But the appetizers were delicious and we finished and waited for the dishes to be cleared.
Second, they didn’t clear the appetizer dishes. They just brought our main courses and only cleared the dishes we ate from and left the rest of the dirty dishes on our table. I had to ask them to clear them So embarrassing!
Third, I asked for a little more green tahini to finish my salmon kebab. They brought me a bowl and then charged me for it. Again, not a big deal but they should tell you if they’re going to charge you. “I’m sorry I can’t bring you a little extra. Would you like a side order of green tahini?”
Fourth, beware of the lamb kebab… It had pieces of bone in it!
Fifth , my two scoops of ice cream were served in a soup bowl. It wouldn’t of bothered me but the two lovely ladies sitting next to me were served their ice cream in beautiful glass dishes.
Sixth, We questioned the charge of the green tahini on our bill and our waiter spent 15 minutes apparently searching for a manager who could not be found. I guess managers don’t work at the restaurant during restaurant week lunchtime. So he brought us another glass of wine to make up for it. But he did not bring the same one we were drinking. Instead he brought a glass of a not so tasty wine.
I don’t understand why we were treated this way. We never complained about anything, not even the bone pieces in the lamb kebab. All in all, an uncomfortable meal, though the food was delicious.
Great food, great ambiance and the cauliflower is the best appetizer besides the mezze.
Great decor, food and service!
